I have lived in Recife for over twenty years and work close to the location of the images. I often walk back home, pass by the place, and I have never witnessed any robbery. What eventually happens are thefts (wallets, necklaces). I know they exist, but I've never seen them. What I can say is: as in any busy city center, avoid necklaces, watches, cameras... put your cell phone and wallet in your pockets... dress discreetly, you will go unnoticed.
Ive walked many places in Brazil, but robbery like that happened 1st time. However ofc I had also much more dangerous experiences in other places in Brazil...
@@4kbrazil True... By the way, in this region there is the Leite restaurant... They have a great regional dessert called "cartola"... I highly recommend it...
The biggest thing is to KEEP AWAY from other people, especially young guys in their 20's who look strong. Don't let anyone get close to your personal space Many times if you're being robbed, some local will help fight the person off There ARE cops all over that area too I lived on the beach - Boa Viagem. One day I heard a women screaming and stuck my head out the windown and some nicely dressed guy was trying to steal a womans car. He grabber her keys and pushed her down to the sidewalk, got in her car and raced off. Security in my building got the description of the car and even the license plate and called the cops. 15 minutes later the cops stopped the car headed to downtown and almost had to shoot the guy. COPS here are the best and a lot of them speak english The patrol the beaches - Boa Viagem - top to bottom Every chance I get I give these guys a Coke or something to drink, because they stand there in the hot weather sweating all day
It supposed to be a standard walking tour in the city center, however when attemp of robery happened I created a story arr. that as it became a main point of this walking experience.
When I went to Brazil 20 years ago people kept warning me not to wear my watch. It was a $5 watch from Walmart so I did not care about it. But after lots of pestering I would sometimes take it off. I would only slide my small camera out when it was time to take a picture. I got warned so much about crime in every city that I visited in Brazil it started to take the fun out of the trip. I stayed for 3 months and never got robbed or attacked. I traveled all over including a few favelas. I am from a big U.S. city so in many ways I was used to the high potential of crime. I only saw a few people get robbed. One was an older Brazilian man who pulled out a huge wallet and set it on the bar counter. A young thug snatched it and ran. Another time a big German guy that I had befriended got jumped, mugged, robbed and beat up as he walked around town drunk. I also met an Italian guy who got conned out of $10k cash by his Brazilian girlfriend of two years.
It's crazy, I was in Recife 10months ago. And my wife always tells me to keep valuable stuff hidden. I love this area. It's my favorite spot to go there, despite the risk of getting robbed. But I am not really worried. I'm very careful with my stuff.
This guy is scary af. Brazilian’s don’t like to get filmed and please use common sense. I had no problems in Brazil. I stayed for 8 months in Salvador and had a great time. And never put anything in your pockets. Put it in a front facing bag.
Piores que Recife; Fortaleza e Salvador, cidades dominadas por facções, não sou do Nordeste, mas trabalho nessas três capitais, já que sou representante, e te garanto que Recife é menos pior do que; Salvador e Fortaleza.
1:04 The 2 guys, both wearing bermudas, one with the light blue shirt, the other with the dark blue shirt. They work together. at 1:46 They turn to the left side of the street, a brief catch by the camera looking towards you, the cam crew. You yourself you got away with it and were lucky, they didn't bite you. By the way, there is the robbery man? Nothing caught on camera, I don't see any. Wrong title.
This people that talking bad about our socials problems in Brazil they are a shame because in their country sometimes is bad that this…. Here in London the guangster rub you by motorcycle or car or wherever you are they rub in America is the same……
this is one of the most dangerous area in the city. it's called camelodromo, where people go to buy FAKE chinese items and cheap stuff. prostutues and drug dealers flood this area. I'm from Recife and I go to this place once a year and only if I really have to. Recife is bigger than London-uk by the way to give you an idea.
"robbery" at 7:00. It's not on camera, and there's no robbery.
💯 🏆

I did not see any robbery on tape, just a scream in the distance. Still a good walking video. I'm researching to see if I want to go to Recife.
You can check other Recife videos on the channel. Also Porto de Galinhas walks
clickbait. change the headline to "Screams heard in distance"
There was nobody shocked there. People are naturally curious, but this is part of the routine.
A video about nothing at all.
It's a city walking tour with a story in it, as there was attemp of robery while filming.
Why is this video over 8 minutes long?.... 30 seconds would have been enough to show the robbery.
It supposed to be a standard walking tour in the city center, however when attemp of robery happened I created a story arr. that as it became a main point of this walking experience.
He didn't show a robbery , there was in fact no robberry. There may or may not have been an attempted robberry , we don't see anything.
????? não vi merd nenhuma..... O cara não filmou nada. Título falso!
Thanks for uploading ..
