I loved Kimberly Amkimbo!! I saw it on closing night at the Pantages and it was one of the best musicals I've ever seen. Also, Carolee Carmello is absolutely stellar!!!

You two are the sweetest! I read the play of this in college and was surprised that it was being turned into a musical, but David Lindsay-Abaire is a really talented writer so I'm glad it translated so well and that you enjoyed it!!
I’m very interested to read the original play now!!! I remember thinking while watching it how structurally, it felt like a straight play/ movie with songs added in… I’ll have to search for a copy of it!
YES i love kimberly akimbo so much 😭😭 i saw it on broadway twice. it's the biggest roller coaster of emotions. I totally understand your criticisms though, i think the show intentionally dodges specifics and kind of creates a fictional disease to smooth over the issue which is preferable to trying to represent a real disability onstage but it's certainly not perfect
Ahhh! I loved Kimberly Akimbo! I got rush tickets for me and my best friends on Broadway and we sat in a box and it was so much fun! Also your self tape tip videos were lifesavers for filming my vocal and acting reels. I'm auditioning for a dream company company in 2025 that's doing three dream shows of mine (I've done two of them already and really wanna do them again and one I haven't done yet) and needed my reels updated, SO THANK YOU!!!
