A couple in Coventry try to renovate a three-bedroom ex-council house. It needs new windows, central heating a new bathroom and a new kitchen, but they have only a £1000 budget. To make things worse, during the programme they both find themselves at risk of redundancy. (Year: 2020)
I’ve watched so many of these on RUclips, and this is the first where the couple followed Sarah’s advice, did their research, and didn’t let personal taste overwhelm their choices. Hope they do more developing and enjoy such good profits!
Yes, I can't believe the stupidity of some of them and how Sarah can keep her cool and return to suggest her experienced help which falls on deaf ears.
What a lovely couple! They worked together, shared ideas, and were thoroughly supported each other. This is so refreshing to see, I'm glad it ended well.
It's absolutely fascinating how people with NO experience (with renovation/building) decide they're going to completely re-do a house. Blind. It's great that she researched the area... but I'd have thought that he could at least do some volunteering/apprenticing with a builder, just to get an idea of HOW THINGS WORK. Oh my!! I admire their footwork and research getting different quotes and then cheaper prices for fittings on the Continent! You can see they're learning a LOT as they go and these two are incredibly savvy. Wow. I admire this couple and admit to being wrong about them at the beginning. I am really impressed. Bravo!
The bathroom sink really overhangs the bathtub. Reminds me of some vids I've seen of typical Soviet apartments, whose bathroom would have a sink faucet with a long spout, that can swing over to the tub, to save the cost of its own faucet.

Smartest couple that has ever been on this show- by a mile.
I was really rooting for them!
They deserved to do well. They listened, researched and were not arrogant and pig headed.
Lovely to see two young people listen to Sarah and make a decent profit. I hope they were successful in the rest of their careers
Great, smart couple. No arrogance, listened to Sarah, yet wisely put in double-glazed windows. Made a lovely home for the price. Good luck to them.
The first ones I really want to succeed. They are genuinely nice people.
Love Sarah Beeny ! She is so smart & talented! Awesome show, thanks for sharing - from Texas:)
GLADE TO SEE THIS SEIES AGAIN
Thanks for sharing

I'd agree they are probably the sharpest couple Ive seen on this show.
@@rocket7697 With great good common sense. (Not so common!)

They did so well, considering they didn't know which end of a screwdriver to point!
What a lovely couple. I wonder if they went on to develop more properties.
I would have made the kitchen space under the stairs into a pantry which would make up for the lack of wall cabinets.
I prefer the original windows and original internal doors.
What bigger no-no could there be than a toilet right of a kitchen. For Pete's sake!
There was no toilet roll holder in the finished bathroom...
