Just Rishi Sunak getting rinsed again and again by MPs in a Select Committee

- Rishi Sunak was in front of the Liaison Committee answering questions from the chairs of Parliament's Select Committees.
The Mr Slick persona doesn't work too well once you have to answer direct question to a room of your peers.

Ffs, can someone just ask him what his name is, just to see if he can answer a question
Too hard! Start by asking the colour of Orange juice.
Genius
🤣
Fishi Gulag
Well you see there are several versions and we have to consider all of them. Names are very important and naming things is how we identify them.
That is why we have increased the security of our voting systems by introducing voter ID and rooting out all small boats trying to sneak into our schools, urged on by the Labour party.
They think they're so clever not answering questions but it just comes across as very childish.
They could try asking more grown up questions.
The woke committes want to flood our streets with refugees, the lady at the beginning is just another out of touch overpaid woke pathetic clown who hasnt got a pi7s in hells clue about what it's like living in these inner city ghettos being flooded with refugees and all the crime and overpopulation problems that come with it, we are being forced to endure this never ending and perpetually expanding stream of "so called refugees" all in the name of bleeding heart wokery.

@@jimmurray2494 Please give a few examples which also explain why he should not answer 'childish' questions? Because if I asked what 3 plus 3 is, I do answer lol
Why can’t PMQ’s be more like this rather than the usual circus we have every week?!
Why can't PMQs be conducted by a large bloke wearing a mask and black tights with a bloody big axe?
Still not answering questions though.
Cos they would be hell, hopefully
Because Rishi forgets who PM on a Wednesday and wants to get his questions to the party he thinks is in power.
PMQs is a pointless exercise no questions are never answered The speaker should do a better job of moderating it and insist on answers from all.
I was talking to a Tory-supporting friend the other day. She was singing Rishi's praises for 'steadying the ship'. God, are we screwed.
Yup every time I get a gram of hope I lose it when I see how many morons still support those scumbags really believe the lies.

My god sunak needs to go if he cannot answer just one question he was asked. He actually couldn't answer even one question. We need a general election ASAP.
As much as I'm a true believer in Tories out at all costs as a voting strategy, Starmer is a grimy little worm too. Reneged on every single pledge he made to get into his position, bangs the drum of more policing, tougher sentencing and "fiscal responsibility."
Shafted either way.
Our nation has been hijacked by these hate fueled corrupt thieving parasites, they need to be terminated before they fleece our nation further and erode our rights beyond recognition. These criminals are beyond dangerous and they're writing our laws.

It’s just so infuriating when you see politicians just flat out avoiding questions even in a setting such as this!!!
So much for Sunak's "integrity, professionalism and accountability at every level”. We have yet another liar for a PM obviously.
"I'm sad that we're having to have this conversation again."
Stop trying to make me answer a question!
Why is it so hard to answer a simple Yes/No question ⁉️
Yes or no for half wits
Politicians saying not to make something political is mad, it’s their job title.
I work in IT and if I said don’t make this conversation IT based I’d be sacked
They mean to try and increase their own statuses
They are parliamentary members. Laws are what they focus on, not politics.
@@watchulookinat23 so how to they move forward, the laws of the time are dictated by the political progression, to hide from it is a dereliction of duty
We can’t accept these political answers when it’s a simple yes or no ffs it’s so frustrating
Yes, sometimes the question demands a reasonable yes/no response.
The ugly twin sister of that is this nightmare: ruclips.net/video/GqrahjMO1mQ/видео.html

@@psytcp We all know that it will be a long time before the Conservative Party membership will vote in a brown man. After all when it was left to the membership, they elected a white woman who crashed the economy in weeks and lost the country billions. The frightening thing is that the Conservative Party Membership knew her economic plans and thought they were better than those proposed by the then Chancellor of the Exchequer. It makes you think whether Liz Truss was elected to stop Sunak.
He doesn’t answer anything and he doesn’t answer anything terribly.
Basically he smiles and talks but is contemptuous of due process because he doesn’t choose to answer any question like Boris Johnson
That is all politicians mate, they are trained to deflect questions with awkward language to try confuse the people into hearing something that people want to hear, same way they will also never apologize directly
I disagree. By not answering he is answering terribly
BUT HES GETTING TOTALLY RINSED BRUVVVV RIGHR???
Sunak can't talk without moving his hands, there's a job as a Punch and Judy performer if he needs a second job.
There should be some punishment for not answering a question clearly after three attempts. He just gets away with it repeatedly.
I agree but sadly we must not forget its actually some of us...the public...who put them where they are, the best punishment would be for the same people to stop voting for them then thats the issue solved.
@Malcom .. I have never voted Tory. Unfortunately your plan gets us no-where because they have it sewn up. For fifty years living in two safe Tory constituencies my vote was worth Jack shit. They will get back in in 18 months .. guaranteed. Why? Well, they have control of the press, they have control of the BBC, they lie, they’re never challenged. Like a poster said, he feels, like Boris did in his parliamentary investigation, that he shouldn’t be there, shouldn’t be scrutinised. It’s an arrogance. Their only downfall is that they want to me “all things to all men” and the Bill Cash’s of this world (ERG, DUP, Farage and Reform) might split the Tory/Brexit vote .. unless Tice does a “Farage” and chickens out at the last minute.
Three strikes and out.

Sunak recently told Northern Ireland businessmen that they had " the best trade deal in the world " with unfettered access to both the U.K. and E.U. Single Markets. Good idea, however the political system in the UK is anarchy. Don't forget that not even his colleaugues elected this guy. Even dictatorships are laughing.
They are trained and prepared by consultants on how to avoid directly answering questions unless it suits them. They are given key messages to get across and advised to never let themselves be drawn from their own talking points.
How do I know this? I was a government press officer for a Whitehall Department and went on a similar course run by such consultants. The things I picked up casually in the margins on how they prepped Ministers disgusted me. I moved on not too long after.

Will Northern island have the same EU laws about offshore tax dodging? Which was the reason the backers of the leave campaign wanted the UK to leave the EU
Good question.
As far as I can make out. The EU law regarding tax evasion WILL apply in northern Ireland .. it will then be up to stormont to decide IF prosecutions will be made on those who breach those laws.

Has no idea of what has gone on before with NI. Just read a few books and thinks he knows it all. Absolute slime ball. And even with Sunak saying each day he will sort everything that needs addressing in the UK nothing is getting done. Talks a good job but then will get caught out and people will wake up. That is already happening and he hasn't been PM a year.

Language certainly does matter
He never answers anything and he doesn't answer anything well . I think he learnt from Boris
He's being utterly disingenuous. We all know that Northern Ireland is a special case, and that in accordance with the Good Friday agreement there mustn't be a hard border between it and the Irish Republic. But Sunak specifically said that that gave Northern Ireland a competitive advantage over the other nations of the UK, by virtue of its remaining within the single market for goods. So the SNP are right to say, well, if it's an advantage go be in the single market, why can't we all be in it? Why did we come out of it? I remember many Brexiters back in 2016, most notably Raab, saying that if we left the EU there was no question of us leaving the single market. They're all just liars.
Politicians are the only people that can get away with answering a question without actually answering a question 🤦🏽♂️

Lol, it looked like he was crying 🤣
He will be crying when his life is on the line.
So by saying that northern Ireland has a special place between the UK and the EU even partially because of the troubles does the prime minister not suggest that the way to stay in the single market is to cause enough trouble that it's not worth it to stay out?
