Great video! One thing I have beef from NJ…the Statue of Liberty is in our state but on New York’s quarter 😢

    • @wildsmiley
      @wildsmiley Год назад

Technically, the Statue of Liberty is in NY state as Liberty Island is a part of the state, not New Jersey, but I feel you, it's a cheat.

I like how Georgia cut off Dade County in the northwest corner. That area is in MTG's district! Someone had foresight in designing that quarter. 😆

Great list. I honestly don’t think I have seen your number one in person but it is definitely in my top 5. Please consider something similar for the America the Beautiful quarters.

I like Alaska, but I do wish they put a picture of a Mountain, probably Denali on it instead of a generic cliff.

Hit the like button as soon as i saw Maryland quarter ranked last. Maryland is a very proud state and it could've veen so cool, all it needed was the iconic maryland flag and a crab!

When the CT quarter first came out there was a lot of criticism because it was “ just a tree”. The Charter Oak was the tree where the Connecticut colonial charter was hidden when the King’s Royal Governor came to Hartford to seize the document. He didn’t get the Charter and the Connecticut Colony was saved from being merged into the Dominion of New England. This event along with the Connecticut compromise establishing a Senate with equal representation of all states to counterbalance the House which is based on population are the reasons Connecticut is the Constitution State.

1:38 I believe that it's a Bison, not a Buffalo. I know that we always called them Buffalo Nickels, but in Yellowstone I was corrected.

Colorado is my favorite, but I'm biased since I was born and raised here, but I really do think it's the nicest looking quarter.

I like this but I've not actually watched any videos in a while. I joined for forgotten places and it's been all stadiums used less than they used to and major metropolitan areas with fewer people than they used to have.

During my travels to the US I was able to collect around half of them (plus some special editions and territories). Ergo: I will have to visit the US more often. Next year I'll go for my next hunt.
Why is Texas so low and Massachusetts (sp?) so high: same idea and execution: state + state symbol (lone star/minuteman)

@@serbkebab2763 ...and me. But Ok, I'm poor then.
Credit card? Yes, but I used it only if there is no other way...like hotels etc. pp.
That why I got me British pound, Japanese Yen and Australian Dollars for my next journey. And I also pay as much in advance as possible, and then I'm using PayPal if possible.
I hate credits cards. I never use it in my home country.

There isn't a terrible quarter on this list. As a Wolverine, I'd say Michigan is where it should be. The natural state map was nice, but imagery showing the auto industry, the Big Mac bridge, or perhaps Taquahmenon Falls would've been more effective at showing the state's uniqueness.

When it came to California's state quarter, a vote of top five designs was on a ballot. By far, the number one choice of the people was one that showed a miner panning for gold. It had a star coming out of the pan representing the sparkle of gold. However..........Our governor (I cannot remember who was governor then) picked the John Muir design to appease the conservationists. It wasn't even in the top five in the voting. After that, I thought that maybe the designer of the miner panning gold should have submitted it to Alaska. it was a very beautiful design. By the way, I have kept a picture of the miner coin--and the other top five-- in my files so I can reminisce of what could have been.

That’s disappointing, i was disappointed that they didnt include a buckeye branch in Ohio’s quarter, def could’ve fit, the wright brothers plane is ok but had already been used in NC before so was a little repetitive.
