Bless them both, I wish they were still around. I'm glad for the legacy they've left for us to enjoy for many years to come, though. Many thanks to these two fine ladies xxx And thanks for making these available for us to watch.
The segment at the end, after the races, made this episode SO worth watching for me. Clarissa's expression when Jennifer pulled out the wad of money from her bag was priceless! LOL..."Treats all around..."
I love these two eccentric ladies, I didn't know Jennifer had a bit of a hard life but you can tell she was a survivor, and Clarrissa too, I remember when these were new i tuned in every week both of them passed to early,
Miss this show and these ladies. Always enjoy their conversations and the little zingers they throw in. Jennifer: "We could get arrested". Clarissa: "It wouldn't be the first time". Ha.
These two lovely ladies are a delight and a treasure, how i miss them and their banter while they cook 💖 Thank you for uploading 💖 👍💞👏💖👏💞👍 💐.....Jennifer.....💐 💞.........and........💞 💐.....Clarissa.....💐 👍💞👏💖👏💞👍
The dish that Clarissa is using for the beans is a Minton bone china soup tureen with scalloped gilt design - made around 1920. For those who are interested, it is worth about $1200-$1500.
I keep their recipes or receipts in my personal cooking file as a tribute to their blessed memory so that I can cherrised with love and preserve their work for many years. That's the best way to keep their legacy alive.
That’s wonderful.. I do wish these dears were still alive, but I make a habit to watch all the episodes at Christmas time every year. Brings so much joy! Which of their recipes/dishes is your favourite to make?
There are four cooking booksfrom the series that have a lot of other great receipts, and Jennifer has two cooking books of her own (they have a lot of her recipes from her days at the Spectator, some of which get used in the TV shows), and Clarissa has a lot of other books, some of which have recipes. Whilst Clarissa was knowledgeable about historical recipes, I always think that Jennifer was the finest cook of the pair.
2:28 my dads 2 seconds of fame walking the horse out of shot, also if the ladies had followed the jockeys directions it would have taking them out off the estate let alone the castle haha
When working with tough greens, like green beans, I always steam them before I boil, bake, or saute them as it helps them soften, and they keep their form.
The only thing I would ever eat would be their cakes and pies. The rest too much for my palate, but I absolutely love them and miss them much. As American I was always fascinated with all things English and they were the perfect ambassadors.
I remember these ladies when Food Network 1st started (along with Jamie Oliver & Nigella Lawson) - I even found a complete dvd set of their shows - so i can watch all of them when ever I want!
Oddly, you never hear anyone say how good the food is... did you notice that? Don't the English do that? I love these two special ladies and I'm so glad we get to see them again. They may not have been celebrities for long but they are remembered by millions. This was the impact they made within a short time. We in America loved them and they were a huge hit on the Food Network bc they were such a breath of fresh air. No one else was like them.
Funny how Clarrisa in the begining thinks that Jennifer knows nothing about horse racing. But who wins all the money in the end Jennifer does. Much to the apparent shock of Clarrisa.
It's such a shame the producers didn't have a tribute episode to Jennifer, as she died shortly after this one. Clarissa could've cooked up all of her favourite foods and then celebrated her life with all of Jennifer's friends. That would've been a marvellous and wonderful final show.
This was my favorite episode!!!! I know it was Jennifer's last, but this one, this one was priceless!!! Does anyone know what became of her "lovely creature" the bike and sidecar?
Like many, was sad to reach the end of the series. As an astrologer it was fun to know their charts and how they lived up to them: Jennifer was a Sun-Jupiter in Aries (loud, risk taking, independent, assertive and with a temper) Jupiter enlarges whatever it touches literally and symbolically! It’s also the planet of LUCK, so this episode was no surprise! Clarissa was a sensitive Cancer Sun (cancer always has a strong karmic connection to their mother for better or worse and she dearly missed hers. Took up drinking the day she died and didn’t stop for many years apparently. The square to her sun from Neptune (addiction) reflected her fathers alcohol problem that ended up passed on to her. They were truly two larger than life personalities - Jennifer more overtly ballsy and bossy (which those who knew her verified) and Clarissa I feel, a more sensitive soul who had to grow thicker skin due to her challenging family background. Either way - great fun on camera and a satisfying legacy for us all. Miss you both. 🌹🌹Edit: had to mention Red is Aries color so Jennifer’s iconic nails and her handbag were perfect. What an episode to go out in. Treats all round.
I have wowed many a dinner party with the buttered crab done here - it's one of the most extraordinarily tasty dishes on God's earth. Anyone who thinks lobster is the bee's knees needs to try it - brown crab is so much tastier. I've done this with spider crab as well, which is on another level altogether - it's like brown crab with the volume turned up to about 150%. Thank you Jennifer for all your receipts - you are sorely missed.
Isn't this life strange. To see them in the recent past enjoying the lives gifted them in the brilliant sunlight. And in time all things must come to pass. We're here and then we're gone. In the blink of an eye. They were a great couple on the tele. Short time but they had a great time. ( Time )
Correct me if im wrong, was this the last episode before Jennifer's diagnosis and death a month later? So glad i grew up with this. Always made me feel good. Fresh ingredients and seafood straight out of the water basically. And those emasculate nails and rings
Sad to know this was the last one i do wonder when Clarissa passed what happened to the bike? would love it. have all the cook books as well as all the recipes from the show. A nice day at the races and Jennifer winning so well.
We used to watch the Ladies every weekend as part of our hangover TV. We took our pillows and duvets through to the living room and my flat mate and I would watch these Ladies every weekend. Great memories. Thanks girls for the great food and memories. I used to have my parents round for a meal once a month and I would often try some of the dishes they had cooked over the previous month. I even got gifted their cook books for Christmas presents from the 'rents. ♥️♥️
@@joeyenicks9620 nope they were hunted as 'pests to be culled', but it was a fundamentally cruel and barbaric killing process, which was the main issue. Thankfully, this has been prohibited by law, despite the HOL's best efforts. P.s. if you're American, foxes in the UK are the equivalent of raccoons, except much much worse, and far more widespread. Yes, even worse than raccoons.
I miss these kind of cooking shows were they actually cooked and not a game show all the time.
Agreed. Cooking ought to be a joy, not a stressful competition or ordeal.
Me too!
reality tv in the states has pushed me away from Tv altogether. RUclips, thank you for replacing my cable.

Agree, two lovely ladies, great cooks with expertise.
Dytfuygbjug
Absolutely
Thanks so much NS for loading all four series. What a treat for us all. So glad to see Jennifer went out with a win.
I know it sounds selfish.....but I wish there were many more of their shows to watch... I just loved them together...!!
"Something light...for little jockeys." Dumps in a pitcher of butter.
I can't help binge-watching them, though. They seem just charming.
The segment at the end, after the races, made this episode SO worth watching for me. Clarissa's expression when Jennifer pulled out the wad of money from her bag was priceless! LOL..."Treats all around..."
I love these two eccentric ladies, I didn't know Jennifer had a bit of a hard life but you can tell she was a survivor, and Clarrissa too, I remember when these were new i tuned in every week both of them passed to early,
Seeing Jennifer in such good spirits, and knowing she'd be dead shortly after filming this episode, it's all really sad.
Miss this show and these ladies. Always enjoy their conversations and the little zingers they throw in. Jennifer: "We could get arrested". Clarissa: "It wouldn't be the first time". Ha.
"Forget the love. Stick to the money." Lol. Class acts, they were.

I really like how down-to-earth and heartwarming these ladies looked which is quite opposite today’s shows. Rest in peace both ❤🙏
The rolling of the R's always gets me
I love this so much, I watched these years ago. Debbie from Texas
This is the only cooking show that I truly miss. I hope they are cooking together in heaven.
What a perfectly lovely thought! I hope so too.
“A really handsome beautiful tureen!”
“Minton. That’ll do. Must try not to drop that!”
Ha!
Fisherman: "how many will you take?"
Jennifer: "ill take as many as I can fit in"
Fisherman: "I'm sure you will"
🤣🤣🤣
heh heh. I got that vibe too, even if they didn't intend it.

"Can we get some crabs from you?" lol this makes me laugh
love watching these ladies yrs ago an continue to do so...ty for keeping on here
"Leave love out of it. Stick with the money." More wisdom from Jennifer...
2:28 my dads 2 seconds of fame walking the horse out of shot, also if the ladies had followed the jockeys directions it would have taking them out off the estate let alone the castle haha
Something light for the jockeys, so they drench the crab in butter. Love em
When working with tough greens, like green beans, I always steam them before I boil, bake, or saute them as it helps them soften, and they keep their form.
I love these women, brings back fond memories. May they rest in peace.
We tuned in for their personalities ❤
Rip to two marvelous one of a kind cooks.
They were absolutely adorable
OMG I love this one. They look so happy. I cracked up at "to the persuit of love"
These gals are definitely a laugh.. so many funny British sayings among all the episodes!
Great food & easy to make. I will miss these two RIP fat ladies 🥺
The only thing I would ever eat would be their cakes and pies. The rest too much for my palate, but I absolutely love them and miss them much. As American I was always fascinated with all things English and they were the perfect ambassadors.
Green beans with Roman mustard “from Apicius” includes Chili, which the Romans didn’t have, therefore I’m assuming that was a Clarissa addition
Thank you for the upload! Really a great treat!
Absolutely satisfying watch both Ladys old school cooking in lavish surroundings every time.
that grain mill & the water power was amazing
Still my fav cooking show of all times!
Mine too!!!
Many hours of enjoyed entertainment . Priceless. ❤
This was so much fun to watch. I sure miss them.
Interesting that this was not Jennifer's last episode but Safari. Just read Spilling the Beans, great book.

There you go, you see - you didn't talk about the food either! :-)
I have the Two Fat Ladies DVDs so i can enjoy them whenever I'm in the mood!
Funny how Clarrisa in the begining thinks that Jennifer knows nothing about horse racing. But who wins all the money in the end Jennifer does. Much to the apparent shock of Clarrisa.
Its scripted but funny all the same
Gee i I miss them terribly...♥️
This was utterly marvelous!! ❤❤

There was a tribute to Jennifer, or rather her story: ruclips.net/video/W8hfwOY_w4k/видео.html
I never knew that! So sad...even after all this time.
I love the all the kitchens they work in, the AGAs, the lovely old kitchen fittings; and, you can feel the friendship
What a gorgeous kitchen! One can dream... RIP Jennifer.
Rest well sweet ladies.
Weird that I just clicked on to this episode and I live in Kelso and my house backs on to the racecourse.
nice
Oh how lucky you are!!
not enough body...cracked me up😂😂😂😂
One has always wondered, is the gentleman who so kindly assists Jennifer, his Grace the Duke of Roxborough?
It isn't it would be interesting to know who he is though.
Their cookbooks are still around. Great entertainment even if you don’t cook.
This was my favorite episode!!!! I know it was Jennifer's last, but this one, this one was priceless!!! Does anyone know what became of her "lovely creature" the bike and sidecar?
I believe the Triumph motorcycle and sidecar was provided to the series by the production. Jennifer did not own it.
Actually the last episode recorded was On Safari
@@jackcarter5101 it was?
She had died before this season aired.
The bike and sidecar were sold at an auction in 2001. They went for 8500 pounds along with some other series related items. So the buyer was a fan.
Jennifer and Clarissa are cooking for the angels!!! RIP YOU SWEET LADIES!!

My girl, Taylor and I watched you both in the beginning....
Miss you both
How is it you loathed each other?
Wow... beautiful friends who loathed debt

These two will be missed very much RIP 🪦🥰
I always loved that show.
"Leave the love out of it; stick to the money!" Wise advise from the best!
I want to try that Roman mustard but do not know if its green or red grape juice even though it looks red might be the vinegar or are red grapes.
What a great way to end a series! Bless
After watching all the available episodes, one thing I can say is that these ladies love parsley!
Isn't this life strange. To see them in the recent past enjoying the lives gifted them in the brilliant sunlight. And in time all things must come to pass. We're here and then we're gone. In the blink of an eye. They were a great couple on the tele. Short time but they had a great time. ( Time )
Oh Jennifer! I hope the Angles are tasting your beef stroganoff! So Good!!
Or the Saxons, even, maybe? :-)
"Minton......that'll do!" Priceless!
Fantastic! Way to go Jennifer!
"I'll take as many as I can fit in." "I'm sure you will!" ;-)
leave the love out of it. Stick to the money!
two maniacs, talkin shit on the poors, recipes that are new to me… this show has it all i love it 😂
What a great show🎉
This is their last show they film together. Before Jennifer got sick with Lung Cancer and died.
Floors Castle was the place Prince Charles proposed to Lady Diana....useless tidbit. 😊
Nothing about that wonderful woman is a useless tidbit, my friend.
She had some good points but was quite the drama queen. Needed to learn to not to air her laundry in public.
^^^ well you're out here airing your asinine undue and uncalled for judgment on Diana soooo...?
You do know that Diana was killed!!
Yes...he is!!
Does anyone know who the gentleman that helps Jennifer with the beting is?
I miss them both. I miss the 90's as well.
MAGICAL!!!!.
Correct me if im wrong, was this the last episode before Jennifer's diagnosis and death a month later? So glad i grew up with this. Always made me feel good. Fresh ingredients and seafood straight out of the water basically. And those emasculate nails and rings
I think it was the one when they was feeding and watching the elephants that she fell ill not long after
How extraordinary - such joie de vivre!
Loved them so funny and great cooking much better than the cooking programs now god bless them 🎉❤
How were those quantities going to feed 12 or more people????
I never knew a jockey who could eat like the lads did in this episode, but it was a nice treat for them I am sure.
27:11 is an absolute BOUNDER!
Love it.
Sad to know this was the last one i do wonder when Clarissa passed what happened to the bike? would love it. have all the cook books as well as all the recipes from the show. A nice day at the races and Jennifer winning so well.
I read the bike belonged to the show producers.
Again I’m so sad to know it ended and Jennifer💔
Has anyone ever been to the estate?
I teared up knowing this was the last.
I think this was the last episode before Jennifer got sick
Se pueden publicar los programas de cocina de Melisa y Jenifer traducidos al castellano? Saludos y gracias.
Nombre es Clarissa
All this for a pound of flour?!😜😂
FABULOUS FABULOUS FABULOUS 💕
Is this Ms Paterson’s last episode?
We used to watch the Ladies every weekend as part of our hangover TV. We took our pillows and duvets through to the living room and my flat mate and I would watch these Ladies every weekend. Great memories. Thanks girls for the great food and memories.

1:36... im sure you do 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I absolutely love these two ladies. I think what they cook is gross, but I love watching them. The first show I ever watched on Food Network!
I did like both of these but I highly disagreed with the fact Clarissa did not think fox hunting should be banned.
Clarissa was an avid hunter blood sport hunter and very proud if it. She once mentioned they should cook the badgers she had culled.
Can you eat fox?.

Verjuice is the very sharp juice of unripe grapes.
One presumes one doesn't have to serve one's guests from Minton earthenware ?
