Please note : the beggars you may encounter on the streets are typically not local Ghanaians ; they are from refugees from neighbouring conflict-ridden countries .
Ghanaians culturally do not beg ; they will sell you something and maybe charge you more than a local because they think that as a foreign visitor , you have money .
If you stay in the country long enough you will notice that Ghanaians do not beg as it is against the culture to beg .
They are very entrepreneurial people . That is why you see most people doing sone kind of business hustle .
Begging is culturally a no-no for Ghanaians .

Yes u got played. Thats my home town born...Labadi, just about 20minutes walk from the beach, but grew up in the suburbs of Labadi called Labone, which is closer to Osu. Beautiful neighbourhoods there. U shld try to get a little tour of those areas, to mix it up. Nothing wrong at all with the hood, we love it, but mix it up for your audience, with the suburbia, bugee, areas. Labone, East Legon, Cantonment etc. Im sure u deginitely have to go to Capecoast or Elmina dungeon(slave castles). U need that visit. Unfortunately, i left all that and ruined my life in New York....but in my way home soon...already started shipping my stuff. I wish i knew u were going to Ghana, i wouldve got the kids to guide u around a bit and bring u home for some real home made food. They will be very happy to host u. My son works at the Airport View Hotel, right by the Airport,,with my nephews, they would love to take care of u. That the Ghanaian Spirit! We take care of our own! Welcome home.

Good to see AFRICA doing it. They dont need to develop like European look, they need to Keep they culture and Develop they onw style like NIGA doing. Almost all Lands in AFRICA is untapped, Fish, Meat , fruits taste natural with less Enviromental Chemicals like in the states. As USMC ive been to Lagos, meat tasted way good, so did food in Jaimiaca. Our meat in NYC taste like hormones in it..lol..Love AFRICA, natural all day.
