I prefer you without bangs but either way you slay! thankyou for these honest reviews.. I'm so glad i found you a year ago you're actually a life saver..now i freaking love my curls coz of you❤
@@Baashylla thanks so much!❤️❤️ There's nothing better than to hear this! Everytime I hear this, I know I've succeeded in what I set out to do. I don't think the bangs will be permanent. I've been feeling stuck in a rut. I needed a small change to feel fresh.
Buds and Berries shampoo has silicones in it! Wow. So many curly hair influencers were promoting it at one point and didn't mention this important fact for those that follow CG.
I've JUST begun the video (still watching as I type) but omg I SCREAMED when I saw the video!!.. Like EXACTLY what I needed right now!!!!. Although.. I ordered a BUNCH of hair products from this just a couple days ago and got some delivered.. SO wish I waited 😭
@@MichelleManuel Thank you love!❤️ I'm already binge watching your shorts! I got the following products : Love beauty Leave in conditioner, Truth and hair Wavy hair shampoo and conditioner, reequil clarifying shampoo, XO curls hydrating shampoo, paradyes classic conditioner, paradyes brown conditioner (recently colored my hair!)... Sugarboo foam, and am yet to pick between love beauty planet hair gel and dove curly hair gel! I basically wanted a gentle shampoo and a medium cleansing shampoo... Enough to clean pre poo but not over stripping..., and a serum like gel for refresh days... And a hair mask for occasional use. My hair is fine, and wavy! (2b-2c mostly) and fine, with density leaning towards high Any recommendations for a light weight leave on conditioner and serum gel for refresh days?? And shampoos! The Arata super shampoo was on my list but I got sooo overwhelmed and confuseddd Edit : oh, and I was also thiiis close to ordering Moxie shampoo instead!.... And now I'm thinking of getting the XO curls leave in conditioner... Since I'm afraid the LBP might weigh my hair down..and it's quite easily weighed down!
@aYTaccount I'll do a video on super light weight products then. I just need some time. My hair has been confusing me lately. A lot of what worked before doesn't. Almost everything over-moisturises my hair. I'm also on a quest to find the lightest products possible that give me good volume. Hang on for a tiny bit? Please!!!! I'll follow up on this in detail. Just need a little time to experiment. Because 8 out of 10 washdays my hair is over-moisturized. I'm really struggling myself!
@@MichelleManuel Sure thing!!! I'll wait for your video eagerly!! I was going to request for a video on lightweight products that give volume, don't weigh them down, but still give some structure /hold! And even though I understand how frustrating it can be when your hair doesn't cooperate, I'm kind of excited for the video knowing you'll be working towards addressing the same concerns 😅.... And I'll definitely share feedbacks on my experience(s) with the products I ordered!... Until then, take your time, recover /reset! Edit : not that you might not have already considered , but did you try bond repair /protein treatments?? Or... Maybe it's the weather?? Ah well! These speculations are ruled out almost immediately aren't they! Edit 2: I've been using a hair fixing spray (by Ktein) on refresh days nowadays.. Since it's the lightest stuff with some hold I'm aware of, although by end of the day my hair's a frizzy mess... Esp at the crown area...,I need hold.. But no weight, with volume! my needs contradict each other huh😂
@@aYTaccount see refreshing medium porosity hair is tedious. Everything feels greasy. I had success with a few products. The dove gel (altogether no volume) and the ashba serum (good volume). I will resume my quest. Bond repair I want to talk about in my curl shock video. Just hang on. I have some sad disappointing experiences to recount.
I love this channel. Michelle I want to say , because of you I started loving my hair. I had always hated my hair . After getting to know about CGM my hair got its life and started breathing. Thank you , thank you , thank you so much for being authentic, giving genuine and budget friendly product suggestions. We love you 💖
OMG the video I always wanted! Thanks Michelle. You know I wanted to try the LBP range but someone told me the fragrance is strong and I'm so glad I listened to them. I HATE strong fragrances. I feel irritated with them. I'm going to send more comments cause I have SO many thoughts. (FYI thank for saying LBP leave-in is 3.5 level. A lot of people told me it's light but I had my doubts)
The fragrance is just not it. I don't know why they keep doing this. The weight yeah, it's deceptive. Very deceptive. You'll think it's light but it's sneakily heavy. Texture is like a gel but on my hair it's very heavy.
I made the mistake of buying the lbp curly hair mask in an attempt to find a cheap hair mask, a few months ago. Its way too strongly scented and leaves my hair kind of frizzy.. so I don't rlly use it much at all
Hey I absolutely adore your in-depth analysis of products surfing the current market!🎀 Could you please do a video on hair glosses and whether or not curly haired people should try them?
Saw your video for the first time.. halfway through it and instantly clicked subscribe button. I haven't yet come across any influencer who's as honest as you. Loved your video and please keep doing it!!
Thank you for highlighting the fact that the LBP leave-in is a heavy product because so many content creators call it a light leave-in conditioner and I need something heavy. And yes the fragrance is obnoxious! I don't mind it but it smell like perfume!
Your make up looks great and this video is super helpful. Thank you for making such long form high effort videos. I loved the suggestions for birb content on RUclips. Thanks!
Hey Michelle, this was a much awaited video❤🎉 Can u please review, 1)Love beauty planet bond repair range. 2)Bare anatomy curl defining shampoo and leave in 3)Wishcare bond repair range I know u need time to try products..but no prblm. Take your time Michelle❤ I just put forth my suggestions😊
Ok no promises. I will try my best. But could you do me a favour please. A range will be thousands of rupees. It becomes a complete loss for me financially. I just poured so much money, time and effort into this video! Could you pick out 1 product from each range. I will be easier on my pocket. On my end, I always try my best without complaining. My laptop is also failing. It's been switching off randomly with no warning. Currently I'm figuring out how to finance a new laptop/desktop. So please name 1 product from each range so that I am not overwhelmed. Please don't mind. Not complaining at all.
Whenever we need her she's thereeeee!!!!!! Sucha help Michelle! I love her and her hardwork with all my heart ❤i really appreciate your efforts and consistency, never stop keep going you're doing greattt ✨🌷
Your reviews are so thorough and helpful. This monsoon I was struggling so hard with my hair , your plum shampoo recommendation for low porosity hair was a boon✨✨
You know I'm so so so happy when you take a recommendation from me and it works out! I'm over the moon. ❤️ On the other side I feel really disheartened when I recommend something and it doesn't work out. 💔 Both happens though so please do mull over my words before picking something up! Sometimes I'm bang on the money and sometimes I'm not. :(
Hi Michelle, I have been rewatching your protein series and porosity videos. Could you please make a video about hair masks in India which have plenty of small proteins? A dedicated video for hair masks would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
First of all thank you so much for such an informative, detailed and helpful video it truly helps so much you have no idea. The hassle of trial and error gets eliminated so I’m sincerely grateful for that. I trust your experience and judgements and it helps me pick things or decide what I feel will work for me and it honestly has worked brilliantly so far all your recommendations so again thank you Michelle your channel honesty is god sent! ❤ The bangs are banging girl! I resonate with how you feel about getting bored with your. I recently got a haircut I wanna share my experience cause I went through a curl shock same as you and was contemplating things a lot. Last October 2023 I decided to get a trim since half my natural hair had grown out from top and the rest Half of it was coloured and the ends were dead and didn’t look good. I had multiple weddings to attend last November as well so it was better to get a trim. I get the trim and my hair goes into curl shock. I was so confused and like helpless cause I had just started my curl journey that year by the end was back to square one after putting in all the work. I tried everything to revive it till January 2024 but it didn’t want to so I left it alone and just let it do its own thing and grow out. Now by 2024 August end it finally started holding the curls again. I was so relieved but it was just a whole mess and boring honestly the damaged coloured hair was there and I was planning to get a haircut again this September but was contemplating it cause I didn’t want to go through the whole hassle of curl shock. It’s so frustrating. I contemplated asked my friends what should I do. I truly was bored of my hair and didn’t feel like styling it which is not a usual case of me. So my best friend told me listen get the haircut you want life is short and you don’t need to live with the what ifs. So I booked an appointment. Showed my inspiration photos to the guy at salon and I trusted him and cleared all my doubts and what I want thrice. He then customised the haircut according to my face shape and every day lifestyle. He gave me tips to style it. I literally got the haircut a week ago. When I tell you this please believe me this is one of my favourite haircuts so far. I used to get all types of haircut and I have loved some hated some. This time I got a shag haircut that is basically a bob shag it’s short comes to my neck it feels lighter on my head and airy and fresh and fun! I feel like a new person and feel like I can finally breathe. Oh my god when I styled it at home it didn’t go into the curl shock and it holds my waves and looks great. I used a diffuser and some gel to style it and I’m honestly in love with my hair again after almost a year long trial and error. I wish I had gotten this haircut sooner but I waited thinking it would affect my curls. What a great learning experience I had. I got rid of all my coloured damaged hair and it’s all my natural brunette hair now and it holds the curls better than it ever has. I’m sorry if it’s long I don’t have anyone else to talk about hair with who would understand the wavy/ curly side of things so if anyone is reading this hope my experience of haircut helps you if you are contemplating with decisions regarding hair even a bit. I know curls are subjective but still sometimes if you think you need that change then go for it life is short and at the end of the day do what makes you happy and your life easier. I got a compliment right before my haircut from the hair dresser about how my hair feels good even though it’s coloured it’s not as damaged as it usually is on other people. He said you’ve maintained it well. This was a first time in my life. I want to give all the credit to Michelle because it is from her and this channel that I started taking care of my hair even more seriously than before and how products, styling , taking care of hair can help change overall health of hair. So learning to take care of hair has been fun learning experience of my life and it’s something that now has become a habit. It takes time but you’ll get there.💙 Michelle if you read the whole damn ordeal thank you and I love you 💙🥰
Thank you so much for sharing. I want to think about what you've said. You've given me a lot to think about. I am still in this what if phase. I'm bored yes. But I have to keep my impulses under check. Deep down I know I'm only bored because my hair is not what it used to be. If it bounced back today and all was as it was before I don't think this boredom would even be a factor. You are fortunate to have a good stylist who guided you. In my city, I've been burnt so many times. I don't know a new experiment is worth the risk Whatever I do, I will have to do myself and then live with the consequences. I think for me, I will probably do faux hair and extensions for a bit till this boedom phase is over. Once my hair grows out I'll be as happy as a clam. I've been trimming it myself. 4 more inches to go. By winter I think I will be over the hill. Also do you mind if I share your experience in a video?
@@MichelleManuel You can most definitely share my experience I don't mind at all.🩵 Faux hair is also a great way to jazz things up and you do you and what works for you and your hair either way I'm always always rooting for you and supporting you. ♥️ I know how hard it is to find a hair dresser that actually listens to you and does what you want and doesn't mess things up so I pray and hope that you find yourself one soon. 🩵 I can email you my experience properly in detail if you need me to just let me know happy to help.😊
I kind of have similar boredom and mainly its about wanting to change my hair color. But I do have highlights so I can technically use a semi permanent color over it, for now. But I don't like having hair be darkest brown but going lighter requires bleaching at least slightly.
This is a great, detailed video! Thanks for doing all the hard work and spending so much time and effort to put out such valuable information! You are the best! ❤❤
Hi.. dear.. Every curly hair video says we have to scrunch scrunch scrunch while its very damp, but i cant tolerate too much of wet hair time.. Am advised hy the doctor that the hair shouldnt be left damp for long.. Please advise what can i do, how to manage curly/wavy hair in that case.. mine is not a 4c curl should fall between2-3.. high porosity.. You are really a person who understands, hair , products and their texture n its logic, perhaps its science.. so we are able to trust you❤
I watched this video just because i liked your bangs. I wore fake clip in bangs for almost two years before I did the final bang chop myself. And I love them. I love the bangs by the way they look so cute and fun!
Thank you so much for the detailed review on SO MANY PRODUCTS! I am contemplating between buying the Moxie Shampoo, Truth & Hair Shampoo and True Frog Shampoo (I know it wasnt reviewed but im hoping you've tried it). Could you let me know which would be best as a one and done shampoo for? I wash my hair twice a week, with medium porosity hair and lots fo dandruff issues
I just got the truth and hair curly shampoo ! some people said it smells floral like in amazon reviews but to me it smells like banana and vaguely slight sweet/floral scent. I haven't tried it out yet. the sticker over the lid leaves paper when peeled off so I wish they used a better sticker. Also you mentioned the shelf life is 6 months but the one I recieved has a time duration of nearly 2 years (23 months)between the manufacture date and expiry date, I think you said the shelf life was 6 months, the one I recieved was manufactured in december 2023 so maybe they changed it?
Once you open the bottle, it stays good for 6 months. See the bottom of the bottle, you'll see a bottle sign, there's a 6M on it. Meaning if you do NOT open the bottle, it will stay good from the manufacturing date to the expire date. Once you open it, you have 6 months to finish the product. If you don't see the bottle with the 6M sign, then maybe things have been changed.
Hey michelle, i have been on the lookout for a good clarifying shampoo. I do use silicone based leave in products. So when u said moxie shampoo is a good clarifying shampoo, did u mean its good in getting rid of build up, dirt and pre poo residues? Or even silicones? As i am given to understand u need sulfates to wash out few silicones.
@@bismuthsulphate I don't know if the moxie shampoo will remove a silicone. I think only a sulphate can remove silicones. It takes about 8 washes to remove a silicone thoroughly. The moxie shampoo will remove, dirt, oil and buildup.
You're so right with the love beauty planet range. They have an heavy scent attached to it and it made my hair dry. Stopped using it and now we use it to clean our bathroom 💀
I think with over the top fragrances like this, everyone should raise their voice and mention this in their reviews. The brand will listen if we have numbers backing our feedback/request.
unfortunately a lot of people usually with straight or 2a ish hair seem to love their argan oil and lavender range that claims to be 'anti frizz'. including influencers. I believe that hair mask is often a bestseller on nykaa too. So people are buying and liking the brands products too that could be why they think they can just keep doing things the same way
its not the lbp curl range but I guess, it is that the lbp argan oil and lavender hair mask is very popular, and most ppl don't have complaints about it, that the company probably thinks theyd do well. And some other influencers either like or were paid to say they like the curly hair range. Some may also have bought it just for affordability (I almost bought the leave in conditioner for that reason, but after seeing your reviews decided on trying ashba leave in instead)
Heyy ❤ I tried trials from smytten for the love beauty and planet - the purple freeze control range and the orange Mandarin long and strong range ... The purple one did not suit me well.... But the Mandarin my hair were never this good after just washing them ✨✨✨ never.....they are soft bouncy non sticky silky..... And my hair type is 2b fine wavy low porosity frizzy dry hair ... And I think protein products don't suit me... I tried the curly routine but didn't work for me like I was not happy mt hair were stickey... Overall was not satisfied... But the Mandarin range was so good🤌🏻 Sooo ... I am asking you a favour to analyse the Mandarin range ingredients and tell me what my hair loved about it as a 2b low porosity fine hair... And if any other range I should buy or should buy this products only ????? Please please reply fast as a buy one get one is going on in smytten and I have some cash back to redeem .... You always reply asap ❤ love you 💕
hey. - could you make a video on how to change your hair partition to avoid traction alopecia ( i just watched your hair loss video and i’ve tried to part my hair differently but the cow lick and low volume has not allowed me to do so) - Also if you could make a video on hair care and how to avoid hair fall (high porosity hair) based on the 2024 hair products
Hey can you help to suggest which is good antihairfall shampoo, conditioner and hair mask that too budget friendly for curly hair. As I'm facing hairfall problem so I was leaning towards mild shampoo but confused which one to use.
Hey Mitchell, I have been your silent follower for very long time. I have to say your content is the best thoroughly researched one, and somehow it’s therapeutic for me. Can you please suggest some products for me, I have done keratin treatment on my hair it’s been a year. I want to regrow my curly hair and start doing cgm routine. I have 2 b / 2c hair, my hair is fine dry frizzy not sure abt porosity , scalp gets dirty easily. I haven’t tried cgm routine it will be my first time Please guide me.
Hi Michelle I have watched your all vedio as I am your fan from all the other gurus thanks for making such a content 🙏🏻😊 I have very bleached and colour hair I am following wavy hair routine I have protein line and moisture line My first question is I have problem with strech test whenever I test 2,3hair when I test it’s break immediately, and some hair break and turn in limp shape like when they break they look curly what should I do I have medium to high prosety hair 2. I want to know do I have to use bond repair regular wash or any special wash and which one the best product for bond repair sry for asking so much I don’t know if you have so much time to replay my so many questions
Hello I wanted to know if the truth and hair shampoo is capable of removing hair oil as it is advertised as a hydrating shampoo. Most hydrating shampoos I’ve used have been too gentle on my scalp and don’t really remove the buildup or the hair oil but the truth and hair range really intrigued me and I’d like to give them a shot if it’s worth the hype.
I have oily scalp and it tends to get v greasy during rainy reason. I use salicylic acid toner serum/toner as prepoo. Other options include anti dandruff lotion by Re'quill (has essential oils). On regular basis, I use ketoconazole shampoo as a maintanence shampoo once a week. After one wash, i go in for cleansing/clarifying shampoo.
Hey Michelle. Have you tried the Manetain's new launch? If possible, could you do a review of Manetain's ultimate bond repair therapy or the ultimate moisture therapy. I have never tried their products though. I wanted a hair mask for my damaged hair (due to bleach) and don't know what to choose.
I haven't tried it. Right now I'm trying a different range with multiple products. It will take me a long time to complete my testing process. After that I can try manetain (if there is decent demand for it). If there's low interest it won't be worth the financial investment.
Hi Michelle, can you do a review on Dove curly hair range ? I do love your honest reviews on the products and also because of you only got to know about CGM... Before that i didnt have any idea about it....❤❤
Can u revise pharmacy conditions for hair care , also please tell me if triflow condition is good for low porosity hair as I m using it from a while and didn't face any problem though my hair is low porosity
Hi, this video was super informative. Thank you for that. Just curious - how do you compare your favourite cg shampoos with kerastase curl magnifique. This was my holy grail till I developed an allergic reaction to one of its ingredients which made my hair fall out. Not just kerastase but also L’Oréal. Also, fyi, bare anatomy used to have custom-made shampoos. I found the sulphate free shampoo difficult to work with but the conditioner was one of the best. However, they have long replaced that with their current range of products. None of them worked for me. I was thoroughly disappointed and would not recommend you try.
Thanks for saving me some money. Then I'll probably skip bare anatomy? I only use and promote cruelty free products. I don't know if kerastase is cruelty free. Unsure on how it compares. :(
@@MichelleManuelthe current Bare Anatomy range feels like a low end drugstore range but higher on price. Just a suggestion - could you do just shampoo or just conditioner etc type of reviews. I imagine you already have footage from earlier videos of different brand- products. Perhaps compile them and shoot the intro etc. 😊
Hello Michelle I am a 18 year old who has discovered that my hair is wavy after watching your videos . Can you make a video on really budget friendly products for beginners like me...
Hey michelle love your videos by the way! Could you review Bare Anatomy curl intensifying leave in conditioner! I've been using it for 2 weeks and so far it has been great , still need your opinion whether I should keep using it as I have a sensitive scalp and some products lead me to have hairfall.>>

Please reply..i really need ur advice Also after shampoo conditioner my hair feels dry frizzy. Do i need serum or leave in conditioner. I do 9 to 5 desk job so i dont have much time for styling what to do?

Hey there! I checked the ingredients for bare anatomy Curl Defining Kit and I remember them being silicone free. Except for amodimethicone which is very different from other silicones and doesn't weigh hair down. A cosmetic chemist on yt explained it here. Hope you try it out.
Do me a favour, check out a comment I got on this video about bare anatomy. Apparently nothing to write home about so I'll skip reviewing it. If you're looking for a review on the range, you can look for other videos on RUclips. :) I've mentioned my take on silicones in youtube videos and Instagram posts. Can't get into it in a comment because it will be too much to type out. I'll just mention that my being silicone free has nothing to do with the weight.
@Pk98366 read the comment left by Tina Bose. The comment was left 3 weeks ago. She said none of them worked for her/not worth trying. I probably won't review it then. Maybe you could check out another review?
Omg you have covered so many products in this ❤. It's always a treat to watch your reviews. You are right about shelf life - 6 months is very restricting. Sadly many products have short shelf life - curl up and arata has 6 months shelf life, fix my curls probably has 3-4 months of shelf life (once i bought fmc protein leave in 250 ml and the shelf life left me shocked 🥲) I was so tempted to buy some products that i saw you use in shorts but i was waiting for detailed reviews as you mentioned. Thank you for this amazing video ❣️. The hairstyle looks so fun! I am also feeling bored with my hair (also thought about cutting). But then i put hair in a bun 😂. Maybe I'll try clip on bangs sometimes!
Ya exactly! Please please don't just buy! I never want to promote just random buying or impulsive buying. Only buy something if you actually need it or are running out of product. I think also keep in mind that when I do a short video, I'm just talking about my initial experiences with the product. How I used it, how much I used of it, what I felt like prima facie. I'll try my best to cover everything in a long form video in due time to help you understand the product in detail.
@@princesscool1925 it's 24 months for expiry date and 6 months of shelf life i.e 6 months from opening the bottle. They write 6 M inside a jar symbol on the bottle. That's what I remember from when I used it last time.
Can you review the L'oreal Filling Night Cream for hair? It's interesting they market it as an "overnight" leave in product and i just wanna know if it does anything more than a regular leave in conditioner would do
:( nope. Garnier and Dove went cruelty free, I was happy to support their products. But to be super frank, when it comes to textured hair products, no one does it like our indie CG Friendly Indian Haircare Brands. Big names brands do not come close (when it comes to textured haircare). Superior Quality, superior ingredients! No copy paste run of the mill formulas with the word curly slapped on the bottle.
Hey Michelle! ...I am using Love Beauty and Planet's rice water shampoo and conditioner and have low porosity hair. will regularly using any Leave in and curl gel or cream or mouse make my hair weigh down?
@@sravanipriya6346 I can't comment on this..it's too heavy for me. Maybe it will be just fine for you. Try to rely on your own experience. If it's working, then that's amazing! It didn't strike me as an out and out protein product.
@@nehadonode5870 The shampoo suited me but it can't remove pre applied oil that effectively. The conditioner's slip is good, and detangles the hair very well. But It doesn't tame flyaways effectively.
I have low porosity dry curly hair and i use lbp rice water leave-in that too without gel , surprisingly it suits my hair perfectly and my hair health has also improved but i make sure to clarify every week since it contains coconut oil.
I can't say for certain. I was hoping my explanation would have helped you. Does the product description resonate with you? Do you like medium heavy products? Do they work for your hair? Are you okay with lots of fragrance? These are some of the questions that you can consider before making a choice.
Bangs suit you but my problem with bangs is 1. they need to be cut regularly to keep the length 2. They do make your forehead sweat a lot. I have acne prone skin so that means more pimples. 3. When I workout I've to clip these bangs back because then my forehead gets super sweaty. Clipping them back is a pain.
@@delwynpinto1 on high porosity hair, when paired with a soft to medium hold gel, it will work. You can also do the FMC butter, soft hold gel + hard hold gel. Ie layer the gels. I mentioned this in my high porosity video (if I'm not mistaken).
@@MichelleManuel you have mentioned it in your video and it does work. Picked it up after your video. Was just wondering if there's any other level 4 leave in you'd recommend now.
@delwynpinto1 ahh got it, the true frog leave in is also a level 4. But it didn't end up making my favs list. The curl up leave in I have gone back to and used bottle after bottle of. Gave me superior definition. On the heavy side if you can pick up the bounce curl clumps and define curl cream (foreign product) I think you will be happy with it. You could also check out the ashba curl cream. It's currently protein free as per the brand. Also reformulated to provide a cast. They insist very strongly that the hydrolyzed corn starch is a moisture product. So this will become a moisture option for you.
I've done review videos for Northwish Naturals and Moxie beauty. My moxie review came before my curls cream vs leave in comparison video. Please have a look. Bestlife I've done a review on the leave in. Yet to try the whole range. But soon!
Hi didi. I have low porosity hair which is EXTREMELY FRIZZY at the front. I also have alopecia so my hair density got reduced at the front. I'm applying minoxidil for that, and it has improved slightly. Anyways- my hair. It looks fried. Even though i have never ever done any heat styling or anything. I have type 2c hair I think. I figured it was low porisity from the water bowl method. I just want my waves/ curls to look nice. I cannot buy shampoos. My dad is a dermat so he recives shampoos and I use those. I started using fix my curls protein powder hair mask and their yellow leave in cream and the red hair gel. No improvement. I'm a neet aspirant plus my parents are pretty strict. I cannot spend a lot of time experimenting with products. Could you please suggest products that I could start with pleaseee
If you don't use heat and don't colour your hair, you may have virgin hair maybe you have low porosity hair. The glass test is not accurate. Anyway, if you're having trouble pushing moisture into your hair, use whatever you have at home. No need to spend money. Just not change, use heat like conditioning. A hot towel works as well. You don't have to buy a heat cap. They're expensive. This should straight away help with moisture absorption..
@@MichelleManuel thank you so much. Yes I have tried that and it did help a bit. But I wanted to buy a leave in and gel and also a hair mask. Which company would you say is best for low porosity hair which is protein free (because I think the protein mask is making my hair coarse)
@@axolotl_aristotle for protein free hair masks I have only tried 2 options so far. The plum avocado mask and the FMC moisture melt mask. FMC is very heavy and plum one is on the lighter side. So leave ins there are way too many for me to recall from memory. If you're interested in a full list of products with info on their weight, watch my recent video on low porosity hair. I've only suggested protein free products. Altogether you know, some low porosity hair can do with protein. The issue with protein sensitivity and coconut sensitivity only occurs in some low porosity hair types. I have received feedback from both types. Some low porosity people use protein frequently without issue and some low porosity hair simply cannot do protein. Look into this and rely on your own experience here.
@@MichelleManuel ook will definitely do that. Thank you soo much. You are the kindest influencer I've seen. Thanks for all the work you put into these videos❤
No no. Don't do it. Firstly it will be way too heavy for you. Secondly, low porosity ie healthy virgin hair. On WAVY hair, bond repair products can have an adverse effect on the tightness of curls. I don't want to give it all away here. I want to talk about my experience with bond repair products in my curl shock video. I'll be filming it soon. For now my advice would be, don't do it!
@@MichelleManuel okay, thanks! My coarse strands tend to get split ends v easily. The plum bond repair treatment (only the treatment tube, not the entire range) helped my waves go juicy and healthy. My hair fall reduced too. That's why I got curious about bond repair treatments.
I actually find that my roots hair feels dry and somewhat protein overload y (I think my hair bc of low porosity easily gets protein overload, this shampoohas only protein no moisture) after using moxie shampoo continuously, washing every other day since I have an oily scalp, for a few weeks. Im going to try alternating it with truth and hair shampoo once I get it, and washing less often, because I don't put conditioner or curl cream on my roots so I need more moisture for the hair there.
Sadly, very few products are protein free. That doesn't mean the product does not have moisture. It's impossible to formulate hair products without moisture ingredients. I've done a protein moisture balance playlist where I breakdown ingredient classes in details. Also, I've done a full video on products for low porosity hair. Only included protein free products in the video. Might be helpful.
I find usually that products with amino acids work better for me than proteins, or I need to use protein heavy products rarely, I think it would probably be better for me to try finding a better shampoo with less protein while still using the moxie one sometimes because it cleanses better than even most sulfate shampoos Ive used
My hair is long and touches the hip . My curl pattern is exactly like yours and I have medium porosity, coarse , very dry hair . Also protein doesn't suit me . After shifting to coastal area ,my curl pattern never stays more than a day due to wind and rain . I'm tired of doing routines that doesn't give me any result . Finally I have added more moisture products and my hair doesn't look dry but still I have trouble to keep my curls intact more than a day and I get alot of tangles . Will a strong gel and mousse work ? If so , any recommendations. Please help .❤
@@rachelbegmusic I've been struggling with this too. I think I've nailed a routine that keeps the curls intact. But tell me, do you enjoy light or heavy moisturization? Because for hair that enjoys heavy moisture, the routine will look different.
@@rachelbegmusic have you by any chance tried the enliven level 5 gel? Green one. It's super strong hold. Always makes my clumps last. They changed the formula. The new tub doesn't have alcohol in it. The gel really locks down my curl clumps. It's relatively inexpensive. Another gel that gives you clumps for days is the eco styler gel.
@@rachelbegmusic layer the gel. Let's say you do curl cream + gel. With another of the gels mentioned above, do curl cream + moisturising gel, then end with the hard hold product.
My Buds n berries rice water and chia seeds shampoo has no silicones in it, did they change the formulation or what? I checked thrice, your bottle and mine are printed with different ingredients
I used to talk about my migraines repeatedly in my videos. My migraines were so bad that I could never wear a bonnet, or a hair clip or a hair band. They would start in the morning and continue the whole day. I was super sensitive to loud sharp sounds and fragrances. My friend Nimisha saw me talk about this and so she decided to tell me about her friend who also happened to have the same issue. Her friend started taking Fast & Up, Zinc & Magnesium & her migraines went away completely. Nimisha told me, look I don't know if it will work, but you never know! Try it regardless. So I did and bam! No more migraines! My world has been changed! I think you could try it too! If it works I'll be so happy! And spread the word!
Moxie shampoo has protein. Is your hair okay with protein? It's very cleansing so if you have trouble with regular build up it may be a good option to consider. I did a detailed honest review on the whole moxie range with an ingredient breakdown. Please do check before buying.
@@AnushkaYadav-w2v you'll need to do a little research on your own..off the top of my head, I won't be able to name all the clarifying shampoos I've tried that are protein free.

Thanks for the detailed and in depth review of each product ❤. I have a query though, my hair type - wavy dry and frizzy, scalp type- oily. 1) loreal paris hyaluron night cream- my hair lengths feel really sticky and waxy after using it, no matter what quantity I use, i don't understand its supposed to be mass fav. Whats the issue here? 2) best life deep conditioning hair mask- i have used it as pre poo and post shampoo as well but the problem is same as mentioned about, it makes my hair sticky, waxy kind, difficult to move my fingers through it. Can someone pls enlighten me about the solution or alternative here?
I haven't used any of the products you've mentioned so I won't be able to comment. I don't think any product can be a mass fav. There will always be a section of people, the product doesnt work for. Haircare is subjective. No blanket statements will apply. What works for you may not work for me.
@@MichelleManuel also Is arata super shampoo good for low porosity hair? I've low porosity 2b-2c hair but I don't need to use clarifying shampoo often coz I've extremely dry end i just use it once a month. I'm looking for good moisturizing shampoo coz I use ketoconazole as I've dandruff prone scalp and my hair becomes so dry and frizzy even after using conditioner or leave in conditioner it's pathetic and unmanageable 😭
@CherryCaraTt I've mentioned all the shampoos for low porosity hair that are protein free in my video on products for low porosity hair. If I remember correctly, the arata shampoo has coconut (i could be wrong). If your hair is not coconut sensitive you can check it out. It's not a clarifying shampoo. It's a very moisturising shampoo. Does have acv but I would call it a clarifying shampoo. Clarifying shampoos are more aggressive in nature. They have a strong lather and remove all traces* residue and buildup.
Try adding a gel or mousse to your routine. If I didn't use a gel or mousse my hair would feel awful too. This is expected. Our hair needs some hold to look good and last long.
@@anushreeranjan1831 hey! Address me by my name. ☺️ I'm here, ready and excited to reply to you! Also no. Not Manetain. They reached out to me for a collab a month back. I will definitely reach out to Manetain soon because honestly I can't afford to drop thousands to review their range. It will be a complete financial loss and fail on my part.
@@anushreeranjan1831 but tell me something, did they reach out to you to do 5 free pieces of content in* exchange for their product? That would be really sad. Sometimes brands don't understand how much work a hair video is. I don't think anyone understands how tedious it is to shoot hair content, unless you try it once. Forget about that, imagine doing a back breaking routine and then sitting down to talk. It's so exhausting. Your energy is drained completely. It's not as easy as it looks.

Gem of a youtuber in curly hair community
Ahh 🙏🙏
Buds and Berries shampoo has silicones in it! Wow. So many curly hair influencers were promoting it at one point and didn't mention this important fact for those that follow CG.
Why exactly is silicones bad for curly hair especially?
it can weigh down some curly hair. But it can be useful sometimes for damaged hair or high porosity hair for sealing in moisture and giving shine
Listen listen, I pray that whatever you picked up will be AMAZING on your hair and you will love it! (Even if I didn't). ❤❤
(2b-2c mostly) and fine, with density leaning towards high
Any recommendations for a light weight leave on conditioner and serum gel for refresh days?? And shampoos! The Arata super shampoo was on my list but I got sooo overwhelmed and confuseddd
Edit : oh, and I was also thiiis close to ordering Moxie shampoo instead!....

Ok no promises. I will try my best. But could you do me a favour please. A range will be thousands of rupees. It becomes a complete loss for me financially. ❤
The bangs are banging girl!
This time
I got a shag haircut that is basically a bob shag it’s short comes to my neck it feels lighter on my head and airy and fresh and fun!
It takes time but you’ll get there.💙
Michelle if you read the whole damn ordeal thank you and I love you 💙🥰
Thank you so much for sharing.
@@MichelleManuel You can most definitely share my experience I don't mind at all.🩵
Faux hair is also a great way to jazz things up and you do you and what works for you and your hair either way I'm always always rooting for you and supporting you. ♥️
I know how hard it is to find a hair dresser that actually listens to you and does what you want and doesn't mess things up so I pray and hope that you find yourself one soon. 🩵
I can email you my experience properly in detail if you need me to just let me know happy to help.😊
I kind of have similar boredom and mainly its about wanting to change my hair color. But I do have highlights so I can technically use a semi permanent color over it, for now. But I don't like having hair be darkest brown but going lighter requires bleaching at least slightly.
@foramx, I would have loved for you to send me an email or voicenote. What a missed opportunity! 😞😞

It can remove a small amount of prepoo if you shampoo your hair twice.

I haven't tried it. Right now I'm trying a different range with multiple products. It will take me a long time to complete my testing process. After that I can try manetain (if there is decent demand for it). If there's low interest it won't be worth the financial investment.

Hey, what do you think about earth rhythm curling gel?
Haven't tried it yet
I've mentioned my take on silicones in youtube videos and Instagram posts. Can't get into it in a comment because it will be too much to type out. I'll just mention that my being silicone free has nothing to do with the weight.
@@MichelleManuel oh, what does the comment say? Scrolled a lot, didn't find anything.

@@Nemisha17 true! All great points to consider!
Now that Fix My Curls has changed the formulation of their Hair Butter, would you still recommend it for high porosity hair ?

Can people with low porosity hair try Curl up's bond repair mask?
