There wasn't actually a toll plaza there. What you are seeing is the former Cove Valley service plaza. The things that look like toll lanes were actually gas pump islands. I've gone through that tunnel (Sideling Hill) before but never through the plenum, so I really enjoyed seeing this! Thank you for taking us along!
Post is a nice enough guy but he rambles and makes very uneducated guesses. Also if you fall in a Post10 rabbit hole you're going to find he contradicts himself constantly often in a single video. He ASSumes way too much.
I was watching one of Midwest Magic Cleaning's recent videos (he cleans hoarded houses in his area), and he said he really enjoys all of Post 10's videos. In fact, he asked us - those of us who watch both of you - to tell you that. :-)
Is that ol' "Post10 watching" Johnny over there. Haha. It's always interesting when your favorite channels cross paths. Happens a lot with "guitar youtube" which I follow quite a bit.
Hi, I was watching Midwest cleaning and he asked everyone to stop in and say hello to you because he is a hugh fan. Sooo….hello! I am glad he recommended your channel because I enjoyed watching your video and plan on watching more😊
@@post.10 I don't blame you honestly. I don't know why they'd make it intentionally difficult when they could've just said "upper levels" or something like that.
@@post.10You literally have a fucking phone in your hand. LOOK IT UP if you don't know the meaning of a word on a safety warning. Hasn't happened yet but you're gonna screw yourself one day and get stuck somewhere or mortally wounded.
Welcome to the Keystone State! It’s my home state. I have been through that Double tunnel to and from Pittsburgh. I took Greyhound and Mega Bus on separate trips. The scenery is even more beautiful with Green Leaves over the summer and fall colors of course in autumn. *Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful*
Finally! I get to see what's in these things, I always pass through these (I drive the turnpike at least once ever month or more) and I've always been curious! Also thanks for showcasing these, one of my favorite features of the toll roads.
In building construction, a plenum (pronounced PLEH-nuhm, from Latin meaning full) is a separate space provided for air circulation for heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning. Awesome Tour!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
So cool for you to come back for a visit to one of my favorite locations that you have visited ,I’m thinking a “bat and black widow “ tshirt coould be popular.Loved the burp and whistle serenade.
I live in PA. It's a local tradition to try and hold your breath when you drive through the tunnels. It's fun to see if you can make it, especially if there is traffic.
When we went camping we went through these mountains, I’d try my hardest and barely get through the first and completely forget the second… I would always give up
@HatstandEvents In the USA, culverts, roads, and bridges are primarily managed by their state and local governments. The federal government doesn't do much when it comes to roads and culverts. Road quality can vary from state to state because of this. Pete Buttigieg is the Secretary of Transportation for the US and really has nothing to do with things like that. The federal government might provide states with grants to fix this or that, but that has to be approved by Congress. Pete would be able to provide minor oversight in those situations, but that's about it.
Just got back from Pennsylvania yesterday, I live in Michigan and go see family in Punxsutawney where groundhog day is. The toll was 14.25 for the turnpike.
Love seeing this area again! Love the bat! It’s not good to disturb them in winter, they need to conserve their energy because there aren’t insects for them to eat. Disturbing them can lead to their death.
I grew up around here. We used to take trips up here as teenagers. This was back in the late 70s. Had lots of fun over the years in this area. Thanks for taking me back to those memories Be well
I was as excited as you when you saw the drains. My favorite is Drain Cleaning Australia! He's hilarious and I'm sure I found him through the algorithm by watching you, lol.
Some of the graffiti was awesome! Ya'll chose a pretty day to go there. I sent the link to my Penn. friends. LOL Maybe they can take a field trip. lol Thanks a bunch.
We use to go through these tunnels on the way to my Grandmas house in Pottsville. Us three girls tried to see who could say weeeeeee! the longest while going through them. This was so cool to see.
I love going through the turnpike tunnels. I'm air pressure sensitive and about 20ft in it's such a relief. Would love to hike the abandoned tunnels sometime.
I visted one of these tunnels a few years ago. I did not explore the service areas. The holes in the floor are terrifying. I also did not bring a strong enough flashlight. Thanks for showing us around!
I thought I was the king of burps. 😂. Nice to know I have competition! I’d score yours as 9/10 though. Point deduction for length. They could have been longer. 😂 😂 😂

How many of those tunnels are on the way through? Thanks

Just got back from Pennsylvania yesterday, I live in Michigan and go see family in Punxsutawney where groundhog day is. The toll was 14.25 for the turnpike.
Wow! I had to pay $8.04 to drive a few miles on the George Bush Turnpike in Dallas, TX. These tolls are outrageous.
"Phil? Phil Connors"??

Yesss, it's the middle of summer and need this kind of stuff.

Awesome area. I have driven near and through the open tunnels many times but never went to abandoned.
Really cool video. Thank you
I'm glad you had a great day Post!

I agree! I want him to try to get his little hydro-electric fan working if there is a water flow!
17:39 I love bats. They’re so cute.
Thanks for the heart
Tunnels creep me out. You never know who or what you will find. Awesome video Post, thanks for the ride 😁
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺
great video, i really liked this one! i'm glad you spread the awareness of asbestos because a lot of people are unaware of its hazardous properties.
Used to fly through those tunnels when I drove OTR in my 579 Pete.
How long was that?
Nice revisit 🦇🦇 Post and Postette

Talk about bringing back memories.
the echo and reverberation from those thunderous belches was loud! I almost thought there was a bovine or swine in the tunnel with you lol
thanks for taking us along

I’ve driven through that tunnel 😊a couple times when I lived in New Jersey. Thank God I live in Arizona now cool video.😊

Many times through the Pa. Turnpike tunnels with my grand parents.
Always a pleasure to see new graffiti, beautiful art. Some of it looks downright psychedelic.

Along with The hoosac tunnel Aka the Blood pit I love both of these it's very interesting I was looking all about this tunnel and the surroundings
