He IS playing huge! He is selling out venues all across the country! His new stage name is Josiah and the Bonnevilles, and he is freaking amazing. I've been a fan since day #1! I've already seen him once in NH and I'm going to see him again in March in Boston. So glad he is finally getting the recognition he deserves. GOJO!
I met him in Nov as he did a guest appearance with Phillip Bowen and Brennan Edwards ( check them out!!) following 3 SOLD OUT shins in Nashville. Such an incredible performer and 3 amazing musicians supporting other great musicians making really incredible music!❤

Saw him last night at a sold out 9:30 club in DC. He’s the real deal.
I just saw him this weekend at the Bonnaroo music festival in Nashville and he was great! It was my first introduction to him and now that I know his story I am hooked! Thanks for the recap!

Josiah and the B!!! He worked sooo hard on tik tok to get his due. For the last year I’ve been refreshing tik tok for updates (which was ever few days). He is killing it now. Lyrics of Basic Channels = is brilliant!!!!
I don't think he was over emotional. Sometimes people crack under the pressure. Most hadn't slept in forever and this poor kid was homeless to boot. I am so glad he made it for himself.
That's what adults don't understand about the young. When they say they took a lot of guts to do something, it doesn't indicate they're confident they've come with something good and complete, it often means they desperate because people around them couldn't work with their vision for various reasons. It's like if your parents give you toys but they don't want to play with you outside the manner of the toys printed out instructions. And he was only 18 living alone in his car. I can feel the feeling of neglect and rejection. No one can really be blamed in his situation. They just got a kid with passion and imagination that are a little out of their expenses.
Having a thick skin or strong sense of identity is really important as a musician, I have no idea what it’s like to do it in front of millions, but I’m part of a community of musicians that hold true to being as honest as possible about each others songs and take part in a few different live streams that stress the same thing, it’s made me a much better musician, songwriter and person. I think that guy was just too young to deal with that situation.

Unfortunately I think American idle can put a stigma on a real artist that can interfere with legitimacy. This definitely happened to Josiah. It gave him a boost but it stalled out. As there has been an absolute drought in music over the last 6 or 7 years people with their ear to the ground and a love for music have been able to listen to his art selfishly. He deserves a bigger audience and I hope people do share because his music deserves it. He played Portland tonight and a few of his fans have been raving about how great of a show it was to me.
