I did these pickles this summer, we ate them so fast, they are soooo delicious. BEST PICKLES I EVER HAD. kaleb your family pickle recipe has become my family's favourite pickle recipe. Thank you for sharing.
Coming back to this recipe after making a ton of these last year. Every single time my husband ate them he claimed they were the best pickles he had ever eaten. Thank you so much 💖💖💖
So I saw this video for the first time yesterday, and it's the first I've heard of this channel/RUclipsr. I fell in love. Instantly dropped what I was doing a d decided to make these. My first time pickeling. Getting ready to rinse the salt water out an start the brine. So excited. A bit nervous. I watched this video again and at the beginning he says "trust the process" and what not, and it's exactly what I needed to hear. It's pickeling time! Wish me luck lol 🤶🎅🎄⛄🥒🤞
Yeah! I'm making these today! I finally got a bunch of the perfect size cukes. I bought a really cool German crock especially for this. My Aunty used to make these & she had a hard time keeping me out of them when we went to visit. I hope mine come out as good as hers! Thanks for the recipe❣️I've waited 2 years to make these!
Your positive excitement would convince me to can like your grandma even if I didn't have the patience of waiting the process...you need your own food network!!!😊
i had these type of pickles once as a kid and have been chasing them ever since lmao they dont sell em in stores so i figured id make em on my own and i came to thee right place
Oooh, you are so lucky ! 1. Grandma showed you how to do all this . 2. Your Grandma's recipe let's you just stir in the sugar, we had to Heat the brine every day (14 day) when we added the sugar. But sooo good and like so many other Wonderful things it all came from Grandma.
I was searching for a recipe for canned spaghetti sauce and his video came up - I was charmed and inspired and immediately subscribed. This pickle recipe looks amazing. Not sure I can get the pickling cucs for this season, but I'm going for it next year. Thank you.
Great video. I also liked the idea of using water to hold the veg beneath the water. Going to try this with sealed ziplock bags for my next apple cider vinegar batch.
Hi, I'm sowing some seeds at the moment, our spring has sprung! Can I ask how many plants you have? I never know how many pickle cucumbers to grow! Please help? I can't wait to try your recipe :)
I'm just starting the first step (soaking them for 24 hors). I'm dismayed to find that none of my plates work for weighing them down under the brine, so I just set the weights that came with the crock on top of them. Hope that's OK!? Tomorrow I'll do the rest of the steps. I bought a 5 gal crock for this, along with a cover and 2 weights.
I just started watching you today. Great videos. Please flip your phone/camera the other way when you film. I watch you on my tv and it puts the giant black bars on either side of your videos. I had to use my phone to comment about it andI was surprised that the bars aren't there on the phone.
Oh I need these! What type of cucumber do use grow for these? From seed? Nursery bought? Also we need to ‘tag along’ with you on a antique finding trip. You seem to have a eye for antiques and would love your tips.
Interesting recipe & hybrid method but pickling in straight vinegar is just too harsh. 1:1 vinegar & water is the standard and I wonder how you can bear it if it's pure vinegar.
My mouth is watering! And you are so cute talking about your grandma!
These are such good pickles! You should definitely make them, Leisa!

I love the way you use family recipes and do it like grandma or your mom did it
Wait..a combination of two of my absolute favorite things to eat?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!!?? Must make these.

I'm really enjoying all of your instructional videos. Thank you for all the hard work.

Welcome Debbie!

My family lives these so much. This method works for zucchini, watermelon rinds, daikon radish, etc.
Love making pickles. I am going to try these for sure
As ALWAYS another recipe to KEEP and save💛😊🤗
Love your wolf stove I want one!
I want to try these.

I hate hate HATE sweet pickles but I LOVE mustard... I'm torn on this!
Is there any common alternatives to a pickling urn, I’d like to try this but space is at a premium
Can you use sliced pickles? Cause I am not sure I can find pickles that small. Enjoyed

Can new crocks still be purchased? What type of pickle is best to plant for this recipe or other pickling recipes?
Yummy 😋

Is there anyway I can use your recipe and then put them in a boiling water bath? I have little space in my refrigerator. Thanks, Kim
I'll answer for him lol... yes, anything sufficiently acidified can be canned
I want these
How long should u wait to eat them
Can you add cauliflower, pearl onions, peppers to this recipe (along with the cucumbers)? And if so, how much of each vegetable?
I have been looking for a recipe with those ingredients. My father in law always bought this, called Chow Chow in a very mustardy looking sauce.
Do you have to seal the jars… Canning?
Can this be done without sugar? Our family doesn't like sweet pickles

It’s super delicious so you’ll have to try it to find out!
@@WyseGuide alright fair enough, i am intrigued
Where is your family from?
Im a sour person pickle..are these very sweet?
I can’t seem to find the recipe anywhere… am I missing something?
It should be in the description of the video or you can find it here: www.wyseguide.com/mustard-pickles/
