This video literally made my heart pound! Kevins instinctual driving with your impeccable spotting is just amazing to watch! You've found your calling!
I have loved the slow build of the JL. There is nobody else testing it like you two. With Kevin's experience driving and Brittany's spotting, I have learned a lot about how to crawl through any obstacle. Sad to no longer be stock, but keep the adventures coming.
Three inch lift and 37's? I wish i could have seen the future and been magically able to do that to my WK six years ago. Its not even possible now, I don't think! LiteBriteNationPresentIsTheFuture'sPast
the first thing I do in the afternoon,is sit in front of my laptop, and go straight to your video's..it really is a very enjoyable afternoon seeing what's new with you two...you seem to just keep hitting the upgrades out of the park..the latest suspension/shocks,underbody armour, seems to be working out fantastic...so happy for you both.i think someday, you are going to have your own reality tv show...you deserve one....take care, jb from chico,ca
Welcome to California! Great wheeling! And yes, having both springs and shocks developed together by a good R&D department is the way to go! Congrats on completing your first day on the Rubicon Trail. Apparently, 38's on a JKU approximate 35's on a 2 door. Your friend from Texas has no fear.
Oh my god. My heart was in my mouth on a few of those sections of trail. I will never have the nerve you two have. Hats off. I will live vicariously thru you guys, as my Jeep will never have the opportunity to do what you do.
You guys should download the Badge of Honor app. It is a program through Jeep that tracks your progress on all the major documented trails. Once you complete one they send you a badge to place on your jeep.
That side of the Rubicon Trail looked scary !! I have seen many clips of that trail but never where y’all went ! Holly Cow it was scary and exciting can’t wait for the next 2 episode..... keep up the epic work y’all do Ciao y’all
Life goal will be running the Rubicon trail. Very very far drive for me as I'm in Ontario, Canada lol. For now I'll enjoy watching you two. Keep up the awesome content!
At 9:20...looks like Post pile. I follow the tree roots with driver and walk up. The steps on the passenger side are huge even on 40s. It's fun driving down that side too. Lol
nice, im intrigued to try this one next time im up that way, looked nice and technical. you did some sweet driving Kevin, coaxed her on up. you have a great spotter!
What a way to the trail! Super jelly and stoked to see the rest! Kevin had me sweating bullets when that front driver side came up the butt end dropped near that tree. Wish i was out there!
Maybe you’re right that Kevin has superior driver instincts but you are an excellent spotter. Together you make a great team. Love your videos. If you ever travel near NYC please let me know.
Great job! Stop and camp at Buck Lake too. It's amazing to camp and wake up to the view of the lake. We have the same taste in wheels. Sheer off any of the bead lock bolts yet?
love this channel. it truly shows what a rubicon is capable of. i also love the rubicon trail good luck getting other vehicles brands up it without massive amounts of upgrading
@@benjaminmeza5372 Jeeps are designed to go off road and stock Jeeps can go over some big rocks without banging them all up. Some of it is a matter of manuvering. You would be surprised to see what stock Jeeps can do off road. Even the older Jeeps. From N. California up in the Sierras, near Rubicon trail. Grew up watching stock Jeeps do amazing things. People modify them to do even "better" off road. However, watching Jeep videos you do see people abuse off road vehicles. By the way, guess what vehicles you see off the edge of the road in winter snow storms? The big SUV's like Suburbans, Escalades etc. Because people think their big monster SUV is invincible.
@@benjaminmeza5372 Yes, that is kind of what I meant that people abuse them. Growing up in and spending time off roading in the mountains the "rule" I followed was "take the easier way". Had a new VW Super Beatle in 1972 that I put wide tires on. By going around obstacles I could get into places where 4 x 4s went. Of course VW Beatles with the engine over the drive wheels and a pretty light body were great off road. Look at all the VW based dune buggies. (Actually not too many dune buggies around anymore) On the Rubicon trail there are less difficult ways. Like these videos on here show there are limits. I like the ones where people drive into "puddles" that are way too deep because they didn't check the depth. Snorkels on 4 x 4s??? Jeep tells you no water over headlights. Your fuse box is under the hood??? Wish they would seal all the electrics like military Jeeps.
In my home area in N. Ca., rule was never to buy a local Jeep. Go to Bay area, Oakland San Francisco. Because those guys rarely, if at all, did any off roading.
Just did moab a couple weeks ago, still so many trails to do there. Think i will hit that again next year and then off to the Rubicon for 2020. Keep up the build/JL/Trail vids!!
Great vid!! So much fun watching you out there enjoying the Jeep... mine spends too much time waiting in the garage to go play. Hurry up with the editing so we can watch more 😉😉😘
Awesome job to the both of you. I like that y'all are willing to try it all. Keep up the outstanding work. I look forward to the next video. Can't wait til I can get my 2 door JL rubi up there.
I wasn’t quite sure about you in your first videos - I thought you were just crazy 😜. But now after watching some more videos I have come to the conclusion 🙄 you are 😜 nuts 🥜 also 😂. I rolled my 1998 CJ rock crawling and ever sense my fractured neck I have to take it easier 🙁. I had my seatbelt on but my CJ was topless so I hit my head 😲 thus shoving it into my spine 🤮. Now with my 1962 Willy’s Wagon - with its newer Jeep drivetrain - lockers 4:88 gears - 6 speed auto trans - 40” tires I use a 4 point harness - it’s a pain in the arse but next time hitting my head will end it all. Suggestion the driver should wear one while someone is spotting - I was paralyzed for about 3 years and I was so fortunate that I not only lived but I recovered most of my bodily functions. Or at least wear a hard hat 🎩. Oh that fan helps drowned out the steel on rock sounds 👍👌Thank You so much, and sorry 😐 for my long comment...😏
You guys are great your jeep the envy of many of us .... it is a awesome machine but.... there is something missing that completes you guys... and that is.... where is jelly bean? She is lovely and part of the scene please don’t leave her out of your adventures she is adorable and makes your videos always a pleasure to watch
Congrats on your excellent production of this latest adventure. Seriously, I enjoyed every moment. Very well documented, with excellent camera work / combined with some explanation as to what the heck was going on. I also appreciated your comments on the performance of your upgrades. I have nowhere near the off road opportunities or access to performance upgrades that you have so generously shared. But my experience with tires and suspension always seem to end up with a brutally stiff, uncomfortable ride. ie The shocks and tires should have included a kidney belt. So carry on with your videos and just maybe I will take the plunge back into 4WD. Cheers John from Canada. ps ..That fan noise is brutal too ! There has to be a better way than listening to that roar.
Can you make a video about your camping equipment and all your stuff you have in the back of your Jeep? And what are you eating on these trips? Love your videos!
Guenther Klingl I’ve actually had a couple people ask about our camping setup, so we could definitely do one of those! As far as what we eat...Kevin and I don’t know how to adult, so it usually consists of pb&j and lunchables. 😅😅😅
I just watched your King of the Hammers video. It's awesome going back to the early days and hearing Brittany spotting. She's come a long way. Your career path could have been much different with a rollover in your first 1/2 mile of the Rubicon lol
Video never does justice to how "tippy" obstacles get. I'm thoroughly impressed with that JL for what it is currently and how it handles. Seems to be well balanced in suspension and wheel base. 👌🏼👌🏼 bring that sucker out to Phoenix next spring. I'll be back from my deployment and can show y'all some good trails!
Would you guys have any interest in adopting a 43 year old man? Asking for a friend. Kidding. Awesome video as always! Can't wait for the next one. You two are the best thing on RUclips. Have a great day and thanks!
I watch these videos, just totally amazed at what a lightly modified Jeep can do and the folks that walk the fine line of success and catastrophe. For years I thought Jeeps were junk, now I just watch thinking no way. I wonder if the Jeeps you see on road, do the owners have any idea what these machine are really capable of?
This video literally made my heart pound! Kevins instinctual driving with your impeccable spotting is just amazing to watch! You've found your calling!
nigel lush Just wait til you see the other two videos!! Haha
I love how when you're not sure you say it. umm, err. Awesome. We are all thinking the same thing! Keep Wheelin'

That 25 year old 80 series holding its own pretty well👌
Simply awesome guys! Love watching how much fun you two have with that amazing Jeep. Looking forward to the rest of your adventures on the Rubicon.

Holy Crap.!.! I was having kittens just watching it, I can't believe how calm Kevin was. Excellent Driving and Guiding.!,!
Love the video, first time I have seen this part of the Rubicon Trail. My JLU Rubicon arrived today now going in for mods.
