We have this for the JK and love it. Loved it so much we swapped to a full soft top. It is like the best compromise between having a hard top and soft top. Also super easy to install.
I’m a new Jeep owner in Vegas and my wife and I can’t wait to hit all these spots around us that you guys are going to in your videos. Hope to see you out there one day!! Thanks for the vids!
Oh wow that sunrider soft top looks legit. I'm pretty interested in it now. Better than me attempting to take off and put back on the freedom tops every time each day. Thank you!
Omg you got to test the new BestTop - That is AWESOME!! They are the best and so easy to use!! Nice job!! You guys are a riot! Thanks for your videos.~
Hey Guys! Awesome Channel. Shoutout all the way from Sunny South Africa. Ive been following since 3.5k subscribers. Its good to see the channel growing. Kevin mentioned a turbo in the step child's future! That would be awesome. Perhaps you could try the pro-charger bolt-on supercharger kit. Its a 100Hp kit and I would love a review on it (want to get it myself). 100 Extra horses puts you at 385Hp!!!
I started watching you guys for the fj80 because I'm a big Toyota guy. I was originally disappointed in your decision to get a JL but I've been watching every video since and am loving the content! You're the only channel that I watch with a jeep! Keep up the awesome work! ( I do really miss the 80 tho )
Just came across your page an hour ago looking videos up for the Jeep Gladiator and I think I’ve been watching yalls videos for an hour straight haha. Thanks for being entertaining and informative! I’ve never owned a Jeep bc I just couldn’t go without a truck bed but watching your vids makes me wish I had one years ago! I’ll be looking forward to watching your adventures in the future and making notes of all the crazy trails you’ve been on so I can attack them when I get back to the states in 9 months and purchase a Jeep myself (maybe the gladiator 🤞🏻).
Lite Brite. We went out there in the mid 80's and it's fantastic. Videos of the trail shows a lot of changes. Also if you have time check out Fordyce River Or Sierra Trek, close to Truckee. Then there is the Duty Ershem Trail close by as well. The Fordyce has to be low enough to cross at the trail head Th ePine cones of the trees are huge along the trail. have a fun trip, you'll never forget it.
Broderick MTB We we’re actually planning on going before, but they’ve got the dam letting too much water through. The water lever is too high to take a fully loaded Jeep through right now.
Looks like another great trip you guys enjoy the time making memories. Me & the wife need to make a Jeep trip out West we hardly ever get out of TEXAS!
Looks like a fun trip. Keep up the good work with these vids. You keep making them and I'll keep watching them. Y'all should hit up big bear and look for John bull, or Gold Mountain or any of those trails. I used to live at the base of that mountain on the north side.
Mentioned heading to southern Utah on the way back, head to sand hallow state park, awesome trails and huge sand. If you can make it through Rubicon trail you can make it through all the trails on sand hallow mountain. Also stop in at Dixie 4 Wheel Drive, there store/shop is in St George, great store and awesome jeep people. They also help build most of the trails on sand hallow mountain. Good luck on the Con and awesome videos.
FYI, there's an event going on at Sand Hollow October 2-6, 2018 "Trail Hero." I was there last year and it was fun and they also have buggie competitions. Here's a link to their FB page: facebook.com/TheTrailHero/
Great video... Love vids that show jeeps and the places they go. Also in love with the look of your Jeep... makes me want to go with larger tires but I’m kinda partial to the stock Rubicon HR wheels so I’m kind of limited.
Love the video, and the new graphics. My jeep should be getting here soon. I already have the new differential covers, that you showed previously. I have never put a bumper sticker on any car for about 40 years. Since my jeep will be the punk'n color, I decided to put this on the pi symbol on the back.
Yay! So excited for this trip! I'll actually be in east Utah when you guys are on your way back - lemme know if you are in the area so we could do a meet up, maybe cook up some hot dogs or something :D
You’ll should really consider a trip to the east cost for some wheeling. We have lots of great place in Ky and WV all within a few hours of each other. Rush off road park, Black mountain in Harlan ky and Hatfield McCoy to name a few. I’d be happy to help you’ll organize an adventure 😉
Another awesome video. Looking forward to the trail. As someone else mentioned show Fordyce some love. Please tell me you stopped in and said hi to Eddie your soooo close.
I am considering purchasing a new Jeep and am curious as to the comfort on long road trips. Would love for y'all to mention how that is if you would. Love your channel, thanks and have a safe trip!
How have you found all of these beautiful places to camp I'm trying to find some place to camp and hike is there a sight or something you guys go to or look up
I look forward to seeing you trash that rubicon on the rubicon.. I would love to go along but I just got my YJ and it aint ready yet.Make sure you film the old sluice, in my oppenion it is the hardest spot to get through . you might smash your top. (right rear) good luck!
How about an update on those Patagonias? Miles, wear, tread left? Anything you don't like? They look awesome and I'm seriously considering them for my Colorado ZR2. Keep up the great videos!
Jealous .. enjoy the trip ya’ll. Curious if you re-geared your jeep at all? You said you hit 80mph, I’d be hard pressed to hit 70 running 35s. Thinking of going to 5.13 or higher on the diff. Of course I have a 120lb roofnest and a gobi rack but it’s a slug … just curious. Thx
I’m SOOOOOOO looking forward to see y’all Rubicon Trail adventure m!! I have seen some other RUclipsrs although amazing to watch but very very VERY boring content and delivery. I’m so sure y’alls will be much much better. Love y’all open top looks great 👍
Robert Wierbinski , A tape or covered cord sewn into a seam as reinforcement or trimming. You should be able to find something similar at the hardware store.
If yall come to north alabama i will fix that crack in your windshield. Its driving me crazy. No Gorilla glass yet. Btw i have installed one in JK. Super thin but works
Choccolocca Mountain, Stoney Lonesome - quite a bit more as well - nothing iconic like Rubicon (yet) but one of the Stoney Lonesome trails is "badged" on the Jeep BoH program. Lots of opportunities for carnage! :)
What phone are you recording with, quality is quite amazing! I was wondering, won't water get stuck inside the new under body protection plates and cause a mess, or mess with anything that is not rust resistant or had the paint scraped off?
Shawn Brezny Just like Dean Otto said - it sort of stemmed from the joke “beat you like a red headed stepchild”. She’s red and we certainly beat her up on the trails. Lol
Wheres your spare tire? The American Adventure Lab guy lives in Hurrican Utah. Funny just a coincidence he just moved out there recently from Georgia I'm sure you already know about him but would be cool for a video of a meet up. I'm probably way behind on what you guys have planned but just FYI. Take care guys and be careful on the highway there's some morons on the road. Waiting on your update. Nice top!
you guys will do fine, i look forward to seeing you do soup bowl, which i bypassed. go left at the squeeze on big sluice. AND TAKE YOUR DOORS OFF! you in California now. are you guys doing it backwards? or from loon lake?
john lopes That’s a good question, but I think we’re starting from loon lake! We’ve got the Jeep fully loaded with gear, so we don’t have room for the doors if we take them off. Womp womp
you guys are young outta do it twice in a day hahaha us oldies spend two nights at buck island and then two nights at Rubicon Springs, call em and make a reservation. take mosquito spray, dey HUNGRY.
Hi guys, have you considered using a Bluetooth microphone? This may be a better way to record your sound as the volume levels vary depending on your distance from your smartphone and sometimes it`s difficult to hear your voices. Great Jeep videos, keep up the good work :-)
David A. Blake No, since we have 38s it’s a bit risky to put on the tailgate until we get either reinforcement or a better tire carrier. We don’t want to risk damaging the tailgate
Welcome to my hometown! South shore is one of the best places on earth. Have fun!
Welcome to the west coast. Have a safe trip.
We have this for the JK and love it. Loved it so much we swapped to a full soft top. It is like the best compromise between having a hard top and soft top. Also super easy to install.
I have a BesTop sunrider for my JK and LOVE it. Great that you guys get to test it ahead of launch! Great channel!
Thank you for the video. America is beautiful! Keep up the good work.
Let me know if you want any of the Drone Video from the Rubicon TRAIL. Nice meeting you! Hope you guys had fun!
Ya’ll are on my top 5 Jeep content channels! Thanks for all the awesomeness!
Thank you!
There's nothing like a jeep period.
God bless Brittany, Kevin, and Jelly, you are living the American Dream!
Terrific video, really like the Bestop addition, very much looking forward to getting one for our jl rubi.
Be sure to stop by Mono Lake on the way to Vegas if you have the time!
Omg you got to test the new BestTop - That is AWESOME!! They are the best and so easy to use!! Nice job!! You guys are a riot! Thanks for your videos.~
Great video. Love the old trucks you found! Scott

Loving the Step child stickers

Nice video, thanks for sharing. Some day i'm going to take the family on such a road trip. This looks like so much fun.
Another fun video. Thanks guys!!

The decals are great! I laughed a lot reading STEP CHILD instead of RUBICON ...
Keep going!

Ken Snyder Yeah, I think the water level is too high right now to do Fordyce (we were originally planning to do it)
Cool! Make sure you guys hit Fordyce Jeep Trail after. Can't leave the area without going there.
Broderick MTB We we’re actually planning on going before, but they’ve got the dam letting too much water through. The water lever is too high to take a fully loaded Jeep through right now.

"Kind of winging it" @ 0:40. Thats exactly how I roll.
Subbed. WOW. Great lookin jeep. Wink.
"If Brittney falls I'm going to get it on video" .. That's real relationship goals right there
That’s Ely - ‘E-Lee’ NV, from a Reno-ite Nevadan, lol
Mike Clasen II Someone Elise mentioned that at well. Thank you!! 😅🙏

I so have to get that Besttop top for my wife's and mine !!!!
Great video can't wait to see you guys in the Rubicon Trail and push that jl to its limits again :-)
Awesome video ... 2-3 weeks ! Man I wish
Absolutely the best vid yet! You two just kick ass and that top is amazing! Don't like lifestyle vids but you guys do it perfect.... 👍👍👍👍👍
Step child name so apt the way it is treated, on 2nd thought the only stepchild who gets all the goodies.
Eventually you will go with the complete bestop and drop the hardtop 😉 I absolutely love mine
🖐 Jeep Wave from Illinois.
❤ the decals. Hope to see you someday
Great video... Love vids that show jeeps and the places they go. Also in love with the look of your Jeep... makes me want to go with larger tires but I’m kinda partial to the stock Rubicon HR wheels so I’m kind of limited.
great vid! Cant wait for the trail footage wish I could be there wheeling!!
Fun fun fun in a Jeep!
Love the video, and the new graphics. My jeep should be getting here soon. I already have the new differential covers, that you showed previously. I have never put a bumper sticker on any car for about 40 years. Since my jeep will be the punk'n color, I decided to put this on the pi symbol on the back.
Excellent vid!

We the people.......awesome video. I think that took a lot longer than a full day.
Awesome. Much love from Philly!
Michael Jacobsen We were planning on hitting up Fordyce, but the water level is too high right now. Who’s Eddie?!
Eddie from Wayalife. I believe he lives in the Greater Reno - Carson City region. Your in his backyard. Fordyce and Rubicon are a day trip for them.
I love the Rubicon trail even though I never been there i heard it's a real challenge I'm pretty sure you guys got this always up for a challenge.
I am considering purchasing a new Jeep and am curious as to the comfort on long road trips. Would love for y'all to mention how that is if you would. Love your channel, thanks and have a safe trip!
Sarge Insanely comfy on long trips!
Following TFL around . Have fun. Kiss the Cadillac.
Vinny Vin a
Totally insane mud, tp great laugh Kevin,
Traction skids and sand anchors are your friends!
Great vid, if you guys ever plan a trip with the community I'm in. Maybe Moab or the Rubicon next summer.
Will you guys ever make it to the East Coast? As always, great video! Can't wait for the next one!
Donnie Herrity Not sure when, but we definitely will!
When are you guys going to put a CB radio.?
What a Dream Road Trip...As much as You and Kevin love Hard Wheeling.... While in the Area (Rubicon)... Research Fordyce 😃
FW Schnaar Yeah, we actually were planning on doing Fordyce right before the Rubicon, but looks like the river is too deep right now.
Lite Brite Even to the First Water Crossing is still good Wheeling... With Your Doors on... I’ve seen Kevin in Action...Your Good too 420Cfm ! 😆
FW Schnaar 🤣🤣🤣
Does that best top just replace the 2 front parts of the factory hardtop? Looks cool!
While your out here, your welcome to drive 1/2 hour out of Loon Lake and use the shop and rack to fix anything. Hell, we'll even buy you dinner.
sent you my number on instagram.
Nice thank you
Hey question on the sunrider!?! Can it be left on the Jeep when removing the hardtop?
Aloha from Hawaii 🤙
Could you do a review on the tires after the Rubicon? I know that you've done one already.
Manuel Nuno We could. They’ve got about 5k miles on them now, and still absolutely amazing!!
Used to live near Sand Mountain in Fallon, Nevada.
How have you found all of these beautiful places to camp I'm trying to find some place to camp and hike is there a sight or something you guys go to or look up
@@boughtnotbuiltoffroad7784 lol alright thanks man love the videos though always watching them
Ely... E-Lee, Nevada... you are about to come through or near my neck of the woods in Tonopah.
Just a heads up that this weekend is the Marlin Crawler Roundup and the trail will be filled with Toyotas. I'll be keeping an eye out for you guys!
Love the vids... I wish I had the time to travel around in my YJ...Diggin' the Jeep name. My Jeep's name is "DAMAGED GOODS"
Awesome 💚 🤘
Great video, are you hanging in South Shore today? I'm in Reno, might take a ride up if you're around?
I look forward to seeing you trash that rubicon on the rubicon.. I would love to go along but I just got my YJ and it aint ready yet.Make sure you film the old sluice, in my oppenion it is the hardest spot to get through . you might smash your top. (right rear) good luck!

@@boughtnotbuiltoffroad7784 thanks for the response!
Do all the windshields crack?
We call them Texas windshields because in Texas u can't keep a windshield.
Jealous .. enjoy the trip ya’ll. Thx

That rubber "welt" is a good idea, I've never heard of a welt though, is that something I can get at a hardware store?
Robert Wierbinski , A tape or covered cord sewn into a seam as reinforcement or trimming. You should be able to find something similar at the hardware store.
@@jeffpiper4374 thanks Jeff!
@@boughtnotbuiltoffroad7784 great Kevin...I will check that out and it will help for sure!! Thank you

i used to be CEO at the hospital in Ely, NV. Ely is pronounced Elee!! You guys are super cool!!!!
I've heard a lot about Ely and now I got to see Cave Lake - pretty cool. You guys need to come to Salida sometime.
Let us know next time so we can touch base. There are lots of cool jeep trails here.
Robert Morasko and I both have Jl's
Sand Mountain, my old stomping grounds. Used to live in Fallon and Fernley.
You had to forego the shade for the flip back top. Any way to incorporate both?
Rich Beach Bestop is coming out with a retractable shade as well that can be used along with the Sunrider! 😊
Oh look!!! It's got license plates!!!!! Yaaa!! 😁
Love your videos,
When will u guys replace the cracked windshield? :P
Michael Kdy Eventually, I suppose. Haha
What kind of rubber welds did you stick between the body and the fenders? Awesome video as usual!
What phone are you recording with, quality is quite amazing! I was wondering, won't water get stuck inside the new under body protection plates and cause a mess, or mess with anything that is not rust resistant or had the paint scraped off?
Awesome! Now for that new exhaust!
Awesome video thanks for sharing
It seems like there is more story behind the Step Child to warrant replacing the Rubicon sticker. Please share it.
Shawn Brezny Well the Jeep is Red so could it be Red Headed Step Child???
Shawn Brezny Just like Dean Otto said - it sort of stemmed from the joke “beat you like a red headed stepchild”. She’s red and we certainly beat her up on the trails. Lol
:)
Wheres your spare tire? The American Adventure Lab guy lives in Hurrican Utah. Great vid!
Do Fordyce trail next! It's eagle lakes exit on i80!! It's way way harder then the Rubicon
Nice can I be the stepchild would love to get out and do the Rubicon trail. Y'all have fun. Will honk next time your in texas
Can the sunrider top operate without the rest of the hard top removed?
Kevin Williams show us!

I’m guessing you’re upgrading the lift before you hit the trail? Not sure if that’s a question or comment...
Looked like y'all were on the salt flats.
Is that Top worth the $700 + that they charge?
Hi guys, have you considered using a Bluetooth microphone? This may be a better way to record your sound as the volume levels vary depending on your distance from your smartphone and sometimes it`s difficult to hear your voices. Great Jeep videos, keep up the good work :-)
No spare tire? I have seen this a lot lately whats up with that?
Why? theft ? Thank you for the reply.
David A. Blake No, since we have 38s it’s a bit risky to put on the tailgate until we get either reinforcement or a better tire carrier. We don’t want to risk damaging the tailgate
HAVE A SAFE TRIP ! Always enjoy y'all videos..
Why not rock a soft top without doors during nice weather?
mays9185 We’re also fully loaded down right now, so we’ve gotta be careful of nothing falling/flying out. Haha
