    Thank you so much for your review. The B6 slim was made to match the size of Jibun Techo Mini which is the same dimensions (different thickness).

      Thanks for the info! I assumed that. It’s always hard when brands, like Jibun, make their stuff a little different in size. But then B6 size is different in Japan vs the rest of the world since they use their own B6 paper sizing that’s slightly larger than everyone else.

      It’s interesting that the name of the listing has changed since I bought it, because it did not say jibun mini size when I bought it… while I love your products quality, this is super disappointing.

    Late to the party but wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your honest reviews and continued support. Happy to know that SI notebook fits in our B6 Slim covers. When I designed/sized the B6 Slim cover the Jibun was not popular nor available in the US but a customer had asked for a custom fit and sent me one. After making the custom is when I decided I’d start offering it in studio and had inserts made especially for it bc again, B6 Slim wasn’t readily available. This is probably TMI but it just popped up in my memory bank, lol. Anyway, thanks for letting me reminisce, ha!
    Oh and one last thing… you like purple? Hmmm… 😊💜

    Thank you so much for your detailed reviews. B6 Slim is one of my EDC in rotation and I have many covers. I’m glad you mentioned the dimensions, I can check using an old b6 Stalogy to see if it fits the inner pockets before I make any pirchases. I am a little bummed though because the cost is higher with the pager numbers. I’m not sure if I can justify the extra expense.

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  9 месяцев назад +1

      I completely understand. I don't know how much of the pricing is the page numbering or just cost increases. But it's definitely a jump. In a commonplace I prefer the page numbers for referencing so I don't have to do it myself. But for most uses I don't need that and so it's definitely hard to justify. But definitely wanted to try them out and share :)

    How odd the CS cover doesn’t fit. I thought they were made to fit Jibun size so , which also follow the JSO size standard instead of ISO, so I’d have expected them to accommodate 182mm, not just 176. All of SI’s planners follow JSO, I believe.

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  2 месяца назад

      Yes all SI planners (B size are JIS, for A size paper JIS and ISO are the same so it’s technically both 😂).
      Potentially CS has changed their sizing since I purchased my covers. They have modified sizes over the years for personal and B6slim (especially with their TNs) to fit more shop insert sizes so their current B6Slim may work - I haven’t had a need to buy more recently. Thanks for watching Dorothy!

    I only have a couple of B6 Slims; a Pelican (older leather) and a sidekick prototype in bright red Italian leather that I won an opportunity to purchase from a raffle on the Facebook group. It's not a preferred size for me.

      Oh sidekick is awesome 👏🏻 much coveted ❤️‍🔥 Pelican is such a rugged leather. Good for traveling!
      it’s very close in size to the Weeks actually which is nice - just a tad wider. I don’t like it for planning generally but I like it for journaling.

      I have a few in my Amazon storefront under Journals & Notebooks. One is Zequenz which is quite nice and thick. Another is a japanese brand - Itoya. And the third is a random brand. Muji also sells lined notebooks which fit as well. When I launch my planners and notebooks there will be another option too but the notebooks will be a bit :)

    Seems that the difference in B6 sizes (and B6 slim) has to do with ISO vs JIS standards? Why do some Japanese brands follow ISO standards when JIS was designed for Japan? I guess we just have to be super diligent about checking sizes or understand who follows ISO vs JIS. I sure would love to know why JIS B sizes are bigger than ISO. :D

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  6 месяцев назад

      Yes for B6 planners and notebooks the size difference depends on if the maker uses ISO or JIS paper sizing. Wonderland222 for example uses B6 sizing. A maker can have their manufacturer make their stuff in any size really - so they dictate. And most don’t get their planners made in Japan - a lot are made in China it seems. But I don’t know if any Japanese planner brands that use ISO B6 - just makers that choose to use that sizing since that’s the international sizing.
      B6slim is a little different - it’s a unique size and many do a slightly different sizing - the Jibun B6slim and Midori B6slim are sized differently. It’s definitely important to pay attention to the paper sizing.
      With B size paper I’m never surprised as much with differences since Japan has its own B size paper standards. But A size paper sizing is the same under JIS and ISO so I nerve get why brands call something A6 when it’s not. Like the LT1917 A6 notebook is basically pocket size (though slightly different but pretty close). And their collab with bullet journal is a true A6 but they call it a pocket planner. It definitely confuses folks!
      I read an article once that had theories of why Japan did their B size paper a different size. I’ll see if I can find it!

    Thank you so much for this Video. But i have to disagree with you regarding the B6 slim size. When you have a Japanese B6 and B6 slim its actually the same height as well so and sterling ink offers the stalogy b6/b6slim size. So it depends on what standard a shop decides to use for their notebooks 🫠🫣 i am thinking about the B6 slim for 2025 🎉😅 but not sure yet 🤔

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for watching. I’ve been a B6 and B6slim user for years and own quite a few Japanese B6slim and B6 notebooks and planners and have done lots of research on the history of the B6slim size as well. But you are totally welcome to disagree. As with all paper sizing a lot of makers don’t follow standards and use size references that aren’t the actual standard / like LT1917 calling their small notebook A6 when it is not A6 size so there’s always variations you can find around the world. It can definitely make it hard for the consumer but it’s awesome that it gives us so any choices as well. And B6slim a wonderful size - big and of it personally.

    Shiv, that pocket from CS is adorable and a sweet color; you are a very lucky girl. I love your content but do wish you would consider a pocket plus to showcase but without the chunk factor. However, you seem to like the chucker inserts. Looks like the PP is making a comeback with much popularity on the FB group too. I have an original Heritage Black Beauty but don't like to chuck the six strings up either. I know PP fits A6 inserts perfectly but just haven't gotten the inspiration quite yet but won't give it up either. Thank you always for sharing your finds and ideas either way. Luv, Cynthia 🌹📖✍🙏

      Yes PocketPlus does fit A6 technically - it's flush all the way around. I had one years ago and shared it in the FB group back then. I don't like chunky TNs or inserts - I much prefer half year books - even in a Stalogy -- and rarely use any plus TN.
      Is there a reason or something particular you want to see in PocketPlus? Honestly any setup I would do in PocketPlus would be the same as I would do in the Pocket since I don't carry that much in it. I do have Passport Plus...
