Hikaru has a pretty interesting choice in his mains (Aki and Honda) in terms of play style, and they are quite opposite to each other too. Bulky vs slender, headbutt vs slithering, slow vs fast, he plays Aki very aggressively while he’s exceptionally patient with his Honda. Now both got buffs, it’s a great time to be an Aki and Honda enjoyer lol 🐍🇯🇵
Why was Kyntio throwing random EX burn knuckles? Im guessing it wins or trades against headbutts for a punish combo, gotta check, never saw him using it until this matchup.
Not exactly the most foolproof way to decide, but given that Hikaru’s Honda went 4-0 on きんちょーる, I’m kinda thinking it’s the new patch, since Honda got buffed.

For what it's worth though, I think Honda was always a strong character, you just have to play a totally different game with him to see how dangerous he is. You need patience to use him, which most players don't have or understand, as SF6 is largely designed around skipping neutral and rushing down.
I'm not sure if this is new patch, but for all people in comments, even if this is new patch, all that Hikaru was doing were things Honda was already capable of doing, nothing from the new patch was showcased here. Also, the way these type of channels work, this was probably already scheduled to be published and it is not new patch at all

I wonder why Hikaru opts to go for Stand Roundhouse (1 hit) into headbutt around 3:15.
It's a mix-up between that and grab. You can see Terry was jumping to avoid the grab and that's why the st hk hit.

As AKI main, I don't struggle fighting Honda at all. I thought Honda was pretty bad isn't he?
