A very windy landscape today 😄
I did put a stone on the rock pile at Cruz de Ferro on our Camino Frances, but normally I don't (I'm usually too tired walking to do that 😅). Oh, it's challenging to walk in strong wind and rain - especially with a heavy backpack! But well done on completing yet another day - you guys are strong!! Anna, you will have to make a new purchase ... that poncho is going to drive you crazy!
Haha too far to the ground 😄 Yes that shitty poncho is just a memory today and a new one to struggle in the rain is purchased 👍👍
Katrin was fortunate to find such a companionable couple as Dan and Anna for her hiking journey. I wonder how different her journey would have been without you. That's something to ponder over your morning oatmeal!
She would have a totally different journey but this strong woman had done just fine by herself 💪💪♥️ We are very lucky though to have the opportunity to have met her.
Thank you! I was SO fortunate to meet the two of them and it certainly wasn’t the last time. 🙂But I exactly wonder about that almost every day. I think I would’ve made it alone, but I don’t have to prove anything to anyone and being with Anna and Dan was a choice I actively made every day and one would make over and over again in favor of them rather than heroically walking alone. 😉

Tough days up here
There's a techique used by some with non rubber boots for crossing rivers and creeks, they switch to sneakers (it's not a good idea to be barefoot), and after crossing they put the boots on again. Yeah, you get cold and wet, but it's temporary.
Perhaps obvious but if you don't find a good place to cross, just walk upstream.

This is a serious hike, love watching your journey, Dan, Anna and Katherine are legends! Quick question, how do you prepare your oats for eating when on the trail? In the uk we would mix with milk and water and cook for 4 mins? But you don’t seem todo that? Maybe a Dan and Anna on the trails cooking series/ book. Safe onward journey
It’s long a tuff and we only soaked them in hot water out on hikes no more and it tastes great we do the same at home 😀😃

I see you are both tired from moving a lot.... it's best to take turns a day, rest a day and do activities a day
Actually we have rest days now and then but we don’t have the time to have so many because the snow threatens in the north.
