- Do you want to know some signs of chronically enacted cortisol levels?
Cortisol is intricately involved in fat metabolism, and consistently high cortisol levels can lead to increased fat storage, particularly around your stomach. If you notice unexplained weight gain, especially around the midsection, it could be a sign of elevated cortisol levels.
You're chronically stressed - Cortisol is released in response to stress so if you’re experiencing stress related to work, relationships, finances, stress from eating processed food, or poor sleep, it can result in consistently high levels If cortisol.
You're having sleep issues: Cortisol follows a diurnal rhythm, with levels being highest in the morning and lowest at night. When cortisol levels are consistently elevated though, it can disrupt your circadian rhythm, leading to sleep disturbances like waking up frequently, and difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep.
You're experiencing Anxiety and mood swings: High cortisol levels can affect your mood and emotions. If you are experiencing increased anxiety, irritability, mood swings, or even depression, it could be a good indicator of elevated cortisol levels.
You have chronic low energy: Cortisol is involved in regulating energy levels, and high cortisol levels can disrupt normal energy patterns. If you are feeling fatigued, lacking in energy, or experiencing a general sense of exhaustion despite adequate rest, it could be related to elevated cortisol levels.

Dude sounds like he's had a caffeine overdose.
Chronically stressed Caregiver (for my sweet mom who has dementia)- high cortisol has been constant. Little & poor sleep. It's a nightmare
How is your mother ?
That's such a challenging job
Grounding outside barefoot is the best thing I’ve ever done for cortisol/adrenaline imbalances. Low carb and fasting made it so much worse. Circadian rhythm. Balance your macros and blood sugar and get outside!
You're saying fasting and low carb made your anxiety/ cortisol worse? I have terrible problems with anxiety and I was going to try fasting+ low carb😮
Very good to hear about the low carb! I was worried I was doing something wrong
Yeah I've been doing prolonged fast... I think it's great for autophagy and metabolic health but I do agree... I'm losing weight everywhere except my lower tummy is getting more more bloated lol it really is unfortunate
@@user-wd6js5fz9p yeah, personally i've had the same experience and there's research out there that proves that carbs lower cortisol
@@user-wd6js5fz9pLike anything else things need to be done right. Fasting doesn't mean starving ones self. Too often many aren't using electrolytes..... which is a game changer.
this guy has the lowest cortisol levels I've ever seen. such a chill delivery 😴
Hilarious
😂

Me too
That’s me! Now what? 😂
I am cortisol
🤣🤣🤣😭 please stop
I am breaking up with you... it's not me it's you
I’m glad you cut the bud and went straight for the bag, most people don’t talk about cortisol levels and that one guy who talks about body types or whatever he only started telling people about cortisol after he was successful
Because cortisol is a waste of time and not worth a second thought for 99% of people.... thermodynamics however apply to everyone
THANK YOU! I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 1997-ish. For the past 10 years it has been worsening, and I've noticed that despite taking my morning Synthroid exactly as directed, I oscillate between hypo and hyper episodes. This has coin coded with a more stressful job position, and I have believed there was a link,: stressful week=hypo, then on the weekend, stress gone, all the T4 that I took gets processed at once, and I'm hyper for 2 days, until the cycle starts again. I have seen several endocrinogists and doctors who told me, essentially, that I'm full of crap. Only recently did I find an end who believed me and told me about the cortisol-thyroid link. No I am managing the stress, and the thyroid. peaks and valleys are leveling off. Alas, If I had known this years ago! Again THANK YOU for this information! It will be a great help to many
how are you managing the stress?
Yes yes yes ....so now what please?
I definitely would like to learn more. I am not familiar with this subject. You're an excellent teacher. Am sure I'll learn a lot

Should do a segment on Cushing’s disease/syndrome. People seem to be ignorant to the idea that some people gain weight because of medical problems. But high cortisol consistently high (or even cyclically high) has a medical name. It’s called Cushing’s disease or Cushing’s syndrome depending on the cause of the hypercortisolism.
Yes ! How do you Check ? Blood test ?
Either a saliva test you can order at home or a Dutch test which is a 24 hour urine test.
You present with a confidence level that says you can beat a prime Michael Jordan and Shaquille O’Neal in a 2 on 1.
Does caffeine do anything to cortisol
It decreases cortisol, but only have one coffee a day, sometime after you wake up, before 2 P.M.
Chronic low energy even though I eat a low carb and almost no sugar diet. Been fat my whole life because of the slow metabolism cortisol causes.
How to deal with it when you have a big stressor that you can’t take away?
why are we acting as if a bit of belly fat is the big problem here???? the problem is the STRESS. how about we focus on mental health and a secure lifestyle for everyone as a society instead of being dramatic and acting like a few pounds of belly fat are the main problem?
I think he was just saying that its often a symptom of high cortisol not the cause
Biden raises my cortisol levels
I was told I have high cortisol levels and I'm on the Keto diet for over 8 months so how does that make sense
Modern day life...
Just have had cortisol levels checked due to very advanced osteoporosis. They came back normal. I have lots of symptoms of high cortisol, though. I actually already do try to manage stress, eat well, get enough sleep (which has been difficult lately,) because I have raging PVCs that are worse when I'm stressed. But the PVCs are now very frequent even when I don't "feel" stressed, so...I don't know. I'm too young for my bones to be literally disintegrating, keep hoping there will be something more definitive than "oh well" but not sure chronically high cortisol would have been the answer I wanted since if it was, my efforts to manage it have already failed. 😅
Insomnia???
This is me. Please help lol
But how to lower it if sleep is an issue
Yoga nidras will lower ur cortisol levels. Do them regularly 1-2 hours daily till ur feeling 100%.
