Well they voted to recall her but she took it to court and even vetoed the decision to look into her spending of the towns money. She's blatantly corrupt and always has this psychopathic smirk whenever questioned about things she's done. On the brightside there is an FBI investigation so she's as good as done it just might seem like it's taking too long but that's because the FBI doesn't prosecute until it's pretty much a guaranteed conviction. Someone of her intelligence, or lack of, probably made it easy for them.
They already ran a recall but it got tossed by a judge favorable to her. The people tried to remove her but it failed, no fault of their own.

She put up 40 chairs in the hall and instructed city police officers to not let anyone else in after 40 people were let in. That violates state open meetings law.

That city attorney is a joke, he should have advised that she, the Mayor, was out of order by not recognizing a motion and passing over it. A motion was reasonably presented to postpone the meeting and relocate to a larger venue where all those outside would have an opportunity to attend the meeting. The mayor should have called for a second, had discussion and conducted a vote. No, she just skipped over the motion like a tyrant. That is why the trustees were justified to walk out.

Yep. Had his hand on podium. Really bizarre. They also threatened to end the meeting multiple times if people clapped. The officer referred to it as a credible threat if people clapped or made any noise. Bought out cops owned by the mayor.
Why won’t they just resign in protest ? Everyone at once and leave her to try to figure it out on her own ? Citizens should stop paying taxes in protest. No taxation without representation…. Protest every single day to disrupt their process
Yesterday the Trustees called a special meeting and were Gung ho about hiring LORI LIGHTFOOT AS SPECIAL INVESTIGATOR AT $400. per hour. Zero police were present. Zero. Metal detectors and harassing police were non existent. The meeting on April 8th was peaceful. Mayor Henyard was a no show April 8th.
