The mayor should have called for a second, had discussion and conducted a vote. No, she just skipped over the motion like a tyrant. That is why the trustees were justified to walk out.

That city attorney is a joke, he should have advised that she, the Mayor, was out of order by not recognizing a motion and passing over it. A motion was reasonably presented to postpone the meeting and relocate to a larger venue where all those outside would have an opportunity to attend the meeting. The mayor should have called for a second, had discussion and conducted a vote. No, she just skipped over the motion like a tyrant. That is why the trustees were justified to walk out.
