- There was plenty of action on May 6th at the first Dolton village board meeting since three subpoenas were served.
Residents demanded to be heard as they gathered outside village hall. Among that group was the mayor’s ex-assistant Fenia Dukes, who spoke out about an alleged sexual assault involving trustee Andrew Holmes on a trip to Las Vegas.

I cannot really believe anyone today will put that much time into something and not be paid. Considering the money the town has already thrown around, this shouldn't even be a subject. While the Mayor thinks they have the veto power, it'll still run, as they cannot interfere with an investigation on themselves called for by the governing body. She'll get her money one way or another.

The DNA testing would have to have been done very soon after any physical contact. A "Rape Kit" done at the time collects this type of evidence.

The proper response isn't disgruntled employees looking for a check, etc etc. that's a defensive response when in reality this could have very well happened. If it did, the mayor and her administration is condoning it at this point. Always believe the victim....but in the meantime the accused is innocent until proven guilty.

As a Save-On -Foods Protective Services Guard, I can say that this security guard absolutely did the right thing! The woman in the video was told to leave the (private) property several times and when she didn't, the security guard had the right to use reasonable force to remove her from the premises. Too many people mistake privately-owned stores as being public property simply because they're open to the public. If a manager, employee of security guard asks/tells you to leave a store, it's time to go! Otherwise, you're trespassing.

I've been in positions of working with a board of directors, It was not a public, government position. Being a city government situation, even more is the need to have the council APPROVE any trips, any expenditures at least above a preset amount, and discussing the need and benefits for any trips. Hiring Lightfoot is a bad sign that they don't want to hear the truth. Why is the local DA not asking for an investigation? Why is the state AG not doing the same? Are they afraid of accusations of racism?
