Both looks are beautiful. For days look 2, for nights look 1.
I like look 1.
I ordered this from BB, and I think its pretty. I have single shadows that I can use to add pop to this and make the look much more appealing.
Not a flop to me, but a nice challenge to be creative.
I think looking at it as a palette to push you out of your comfort zone is probably a good way to view it. In future, I will find a sister palette for it but every now and again I will see what I can do with it on its own.
I hope you like it when it arrives. 💕
I like the look but I would be annoyed not having more contrast
The lack of contrast is very disappointing but it's nice to know that you CAN get some pretty looks out of it. I might do follow up video where I pair it with Celestial Charms like I mentioned.
This look is beautiful! I had the exact same thoughts on this palette and I’m super pale it was always going to be too light for you ❤
It's just about workable but they really missed the mark with all those super close really light shades. You got throw in some depth and absolutely get the same vibe.
The fact that there is no depth to this insane! Usually they put dark shades in no matter what. It’s insane
I think Love Notes was the last palette that was on the lighter side 🤔 but even that had some depth to it.
Completely understand why the subtlety of the shades gets lost on a deeper skin tone, but I need subtlety for my fair tones. Likewise a palette with all bold colours would be a pointless buy for me - I guess not everything can be for everyone. Thanks for sharing your review. Xxx
I totally understand. Celestial Charms probably went too far the other way! BB could perhaps try to find that Goldilocks sweet spot.
Yeah most of their pallets are bright and bold right? So i think having something for pale isnt necessary bad but nothing goes innthis pallet. They could have done some muted deep tones. I feel like they just throw mattes in from their bigger pallets and make new shimmers. These pinks dknt even look.good with the purples. Peachy pinks and then cooler neutrals? Makes no sense. Same purples every time
You definitely have found your wing line!❤
Thank you! 😊
Hi Jem, I love the looks you created. I totally agree with you about this palette it's pretty, but there just isn't enough depth to it.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Penny ☺️. It's a shame because I like the shimmer formula in this.
Well done madam! Proper review!
Thank you! 🤗
I love this look! New subscriber. You have a great personality.
Welcome! Thank you so much for subscribing! ☺️
The fact that you had a WHITE base on and the first two shades barely showed up says everything really. Even the palest person is not paper white. If I were to buy this palette (which I won’t) those 5 lightest mattes would be brow bone shades for me and I have a light skin tone. Great video.
Both of the looks you created look pretty and don't look insipid at all, despite those bland looking, initial arm swatches.
There isn't a chance some of those shimmers are topper eyeshadows, which would transform depending, on which of the deeper mattes you placed underneath?
I was very surprised by the looks I got considering the swatches. I will definitely try some layering when I create more looks.
Both looks were stunning x but i agree for a darker skin tone it is ridiculously wrong x i honestly think bb has been A. Bought over B. New design team and regardless of a or b they are cost cutting the mattes dont feel right and i personally think they have a heavier talc base x which then means the cost per palette is reduced production wise and means they can keep the cost lower but if they knew their customers they would know most of us wouldnt mind paying a few more quid for a palette that looks and feels better x or even reduced to a 15 or 16 pan with better thought out colour stories x
Maybe they should watch some of the reviews and read some comments for future development x
Really appreciate that you avoided the purple to show us. My skin is medium olive and I’m going to pass thanks for saving me some money!!!
I love purple so it was hard not to immediately go for that shade, especially to get that depth, but I really wanted to test the palette! It was actually quite a fun challenge! 💜
Teresa brought me here, hello! I have to say, this is embarrassing for beauty bay! Wtf were they thinking!? I'm a huge fan of the brand but this, this is awful. Thank you so much for taking the time to do swatches, to use two different primers & to really give the palette a fighting chance. Seeing it swatched on your skin tone absolutely blew my mind. Beauty bay should be ashamed. 🤦♂️
50 shades of beige for sure!!!! such a disappointment
I like it more than I thought I would which is actually more infuriating!
I think you look amazing!! I love the commitment to pink🩷💕💞💓💗. The palette would be an epic fail if you wanted to do a “traditional” eye look. But this whole look is spectacular 😍😘the second look is cool but I really like the pink look😍
I was surprised by the end result of the pink look. It did not have a promising start. Considering I had no hope whatsoever for the palette, I do like the 2 looks I did. I will play with it some more to see what else I can do. 💕
@@just_jem1 right! I was ready to be annoyed on your behalf but you totes made 2 very cool looks out of that mess😍🥳🤩
