Kenya got a head start over Bangladesh since they played their world cup earlier and beat West Indies. I feel they got a raw deal vs. Bangladesh. Both peaked around the same time, but Kenya was left by the wayside. If they had received more support during the critical period between 1996 and 2006. We would have had Kenya as another Test playing nation.

Thomas odoyo and Maurice odumbe were two big match winners for Kenya, around 1995-1999 , India was so weak that even Zimbabwe and Kenya used to give india very hard times ,and Pakistani bowlers and saeed Anwar was beast ,India only won in world cup matches against Pakistan. Those were the worse time of Indian cricket ,there was no fighting back !And they found Yuvraj singh who was the first Indian fighter and match winner of India when needed but people only brag about the greatness of Sachin,dravid,ganguly ! In fact dravid used to play very slow in odi's that he lost many games single handed with this strike of 50-55 when run a ball was required . Yuvraj and sewhag taught India to fight and attack against opposition. Sachin only play for records . Inzi always played for country !

I am writing this comment before watching this video, but I was looking for some info on Kenyan cricket to know that how and why the emerging team which was once semifinalist of world cup and was far better than Bangladesh in emerging time of both of them is nowhere.
There are lot of noteworthy achievements of kenyan team which I have seen since its debut in international cricket. Whether it's defeating West Indeas in 1996 world cup, defeating India twice, first time in 1998 Independence cup and second time in tri series in SA or reaching semi final of 2003 world cup, The Kenyan cricket had always managed to be notified by their upsets. I have followed Kenyan team to some extent. I have seen Bangladesh getting very hard to beat Kenya even after few years they were awarded Test status. There were also times were talks were discussed for Kenya being promoted to test status. I feel very bad for them. Kenya being lost is also loss for overall popularity of Cricket
