  • The P14s Gen 3 is our recommendation for anyone who needs a reliable and durable laptop with fast speeds for only $999 at the Notebookshop. We love it more than the T14 or X1's because, while those are also great laptops, the P14s has a noticeably better build quality that gives you confidence that it can last. On top of that, the 14 inch screen doesn't seem like any ordinary 14 inch screen. The 16:10 aspect ratio really enhances your viewing experience, giving you more screen real estate, rather than a feeling a screen claustrophobia (which tends to happen with those used to 15+ inch screens). As a lifelong 17 inch laptop user, I don't get that feeling at all with the P14s.

As a Linux user, thinkpad has always been my #1 choice not only because its build quality but also the software compatibility, you can always expect it runs perfectly with Linux and the open source drivers. And, very nice video, like it!

@@Notebookshop I’ve been using x1 extreme gen 3 for 4 years with archlinux installed, previously I used L440 for 6 years in college and the first few years of working. They are both robust and awesome!

The Thinkpad T14/T14s Gen 5 and the P14s Gen 4 has similar specs. Would love to see a comparison

The main issue with the panel is a 1920x1200 max resolution with touch support. Going 3K removes multitouch, which is a PITA.
For comparison Asus will ship their X13 at 2500x1600 with touch, so I don't get why Lenovo can't.

Most of the digital markets do not sell Thinkpad. Is it too expensive for ordinary people ?

It's probably more so due to the fact a lot of ThinkPad's are marketed towards business/professional/enterprise users. So a business will purchase in bulk directly from a vendor like us and we'd send them an invoice! We're unique in that we sell to both consumers and businesses. That being said, ThinkPad's are definitely great for both ordinary people and business professionals alike. We have ThinkPad's as low as $499! As you know, they can also be configured as high as $10k+
