Hey man, when you are comparing sound of the speakers, please play the identical song clip on a known device like a MacBook or xps or some comparison device. We are not able to judge the sound .
Iam considering buying T14 Gen4, but P14s Gen 4 has the same spec for a cheaper price. Both the chasis are literally looking identical, Is there any difference btw both ?
T14 gen 4 comes with U-series, and P14s gen 4 with P-series CPU and Quadro graphics. Both laptops with Nvidia graphics (at T14 it is optional) have different motherboard without SO-DIMM slot.
@@AngelDLM08 That might be true for the Intel version of the T14/P14s. But the CPU and GPU on the AMD Ryzen version is the same between the T14/P14s. The AMD Ryzen CPU and integrated GPU are faster in most situations and have better battery life that the Intel version. I have heard that the P14s (in both Intel and AMD) has a higher TDP than the T14 though. The TDP is the maximum power that can be used by the CPU and GPU. So in theory the P14s might be very slightly faster in extreme circumstances, at a very small detriment to battery life. The other difference, at least here in the UK, is the option of a higher resolution OLED screen which is only available on the P14s model.
@@tnetroP I have T14 i7-1360p in my hands, windows 10 power mode changes PL1 limit with 11 / 37 / 45 W, however at full load even at maximum perfomance PL1 within 1,5 minutes gradualy drops to 21 W, resulting in 100% load 21 W / 60~70° temp. Also, it have awful battery life. Blame not lenovo, not windows, but Intel, all 12xxP, 13xxP, 12xxxH, 13xxxH processors have huge uncore power draw, about 4-5 W at idle in lowest power setting. U-series have that value about 0.5-1.5W at idle.
@@tnetroP Had the same question and thanks for clarifying. Buying a discounted P14s AMD 7480 version with a 2.8K panel is an amazing deal. One question though is that how good the integrated graphics in the AMD version in comparison to the dedicated one's in the Intel models? Also can we upgrade the hardware to e-sim ?
@@bilvadala The optional dedicated Nvidia A500 in the Intel version of the P14s will be a little faster than the integrated Radeon 780m in the AMD version. But they are quite close. If it is for the occasional game or for running multiple GPU's etc then the isn't a lot of difference (Nvidia slightly faster as I said). But it will use a lot more power so battery life is a lot shorter (the optional high res OLED screen will make battery life a lot shorter especially with the Nvidia GPU). Neither GPU would be great for gaming at high resolution but should be enough for low to medium resolution. For example Valve's Steamdeck uses the Radeon 780m and that is a dedicated gaming console. However there is a lot of software which takes better advantage of the Nvidia GPU. The CUDA cores in the Nvidia GPU are better for some design and video editing software and if you are doing work with a lot of AI computation. But if you need this, then you will probably already know that Nvidia is better in this area than the AMD. Look for comparisons between the Nvidia A500 and Radeon 780m. If it were my money then I would take the AMD version over the Intel/Nvidia machine because it is a well rounded machine with better battery life, a better CPU and still a GPU quite close in performance.
Hi, did your laptop come with additional cables to for connecting to the ports? You will notice the documentation that comes with it show four adaptor cables included in the box. Mine appear to be missing.
Hi, currently looking at thinkpad t14s g4, I have a question regarding this laptop, can it one hand when lifting up the screen on the table? Just like macbook? So far any issue?
Glad it has a back light because one review on their website said it didn’t
depends on the model you order
It's a nice laptop... i recommended it to my brother but never had one before. Now gen 4 is out with faster ram and better GPU.

would you say the touch screen is better than the OLED (non touch)?

Run stress test on CPU and GPU separately and simultaneously, is it thermal throttling under heavy load?
Which gen is this? I didn't know it has a SODIMM slot
T14 / P14s gen 3/4 with Nvidia graphics don't have SODIMM slot
This one is p14s gen2
Is it have screen touch
