    Thanks for this informative video. I’ve been diagnosed with adjustment disorder with chronic depression and anxiety. Army started chaptering me after my first overdose and then a month after I overdosed the second time my EBH said they’ll push for a med board. I’m done with almost everything other than clearing and feel like nobody is communicating anything anymore.

    I filed for SSD (chronic pain) secondary to my back and this is what I got. C&p examiner kept wanting to talk about my childhood, parent problems, alcohol use. I should of appealed it, but the % was alright

    I just did video zoom meeting with LHI Doctor for my PTSD. But doc said my symptoms are not PTSD from military, but I have anxiety/depression from military. Do I need to file new claim or let rater decide?

    • @natewilke
      @natewilke Год назад

      Mental health ratings are all combined. Going the path of least resistance, since you're already been given the service connection for anxiety/depression, just hammer your symptoms down there.

    There is also Chronic Adjustment Disorder. Its not always a transient condition.

    When I was in I was diagnosed with adjustment disorder. Rather than PTSD as soon as I went to the VA it was changed to PTSD

    • @Giopowered

      If i may ask. Did you have the event that may have caused your condition documented. Or is just diagnosis alone enough

    • @thunderjet4294
      @thunderjet4294 Год назад +1

      @@Giopowered with the VA the event is mandatory to the best of your memory. And so is the diagnosis. What they do so I've heard if you don't have a specific event is say that it's not service connected. Though it is possible if you were in combat to prove it easier than say an mst event. I have a friend that got hers passed at 70 percent as a fob restricted vet in Afghanistan because her base was mortored on a daily basis and there were accounts of the airfield and flight tower where she worked being attacked within a minute or 2 of her being in the tower she was saved by having to poo... As she puts it

    with the loss of my father during my active duty years, I was just 20 and it ruined me on top of a sexual assault that happened to me. I was diagnosed with Adjustment disorder but been suffering with the symptoms for 20 years. for filing my first claim, which approach should I take? I feel that I have PTSD, Anxiety, Depressed. I have all the symptom you can find in a medical book.

    • @Azikkii
      @Azikkii 2 года назад

      If your sexual assault happened when you were in and it’s documented you can get rated for it but you need proof that it happened while you were in. I don’t think the loss of your father would be grounds for getting a disability rating though because the military isn’t at fault for that.

    Adjustment disorder with mixed mood anxiety and depression chronic but my ptsd is not service connected

  • @phogettaboutyu

    Help:
    I was diagnosed disorder and depression during my service. During that time I was ashamed of going to my psychiatric appointment that I told them “I think I’m okay now” and discharge after that. I then get “not service connected” although after 6 years of being out in the service I’ve been developing anxiety and depression. How will I file for these and winning back my “adjustment disorder” and “depression”

  • @dannyeuge2379

    How can I open up a supplemental claim for this I have it pre discharge and my rating was changed to 0. 10 years ago I never knew how serious it has effected me and never knew I was able to get it re evaluated. I still don’t have a rep to help me and have no idea what road to take.

    OK...1. What form do I fill out to submit for this and 2. Describe the lay letter better please. And do I give that to the C & P examiner or to my PCP to submit or upload it into my healthy vet?

      VA Form 21-526EZ if you never file for it before, but to be honest once you create an ebenefits account. There’s a button to file “new” claims online, no forms need.
      You can also go to the VA hospital and see a VSO they’ll do it for free for you too

      They rate ptsd higher. Ptsd is usually permanent from an event. Adjustment is caused by a multitude of things/events at once or in short time spand

    I keep hearing the term "short term" when it comes to Adjustment Disorder. Does this mean that there is more of a chance for a decrease in percentage as time passes?

    • @dorothymac3963
      @dorothymac3963 11 месяцев назад

      Yes, because with proper care like medicine and counseling things like Anxiety and Depression should improve overtime which leads to a lower rating if you are reevaluated. If you are 100% P&T then they can’t lower your rating
