Restoration of HJ Monaro Coupe Continues - Part 4

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for tuning in. We have made our way back to Phil's HJ Monaro Coupe Restoration project. Troy has been extremely busy working on the HJ Monaro over the last coupe of months. I know its been a while since an update of this HJ Monaro Coupe has come out, but life sometimes gets in the way of the fun things, so let check out the updates.
Check out this flash back of the progress on the HJ Monaro that Troy and Phil have been working on and its starting to look like a new car now.
So, Let's chat with Phil about the HJ Monaro Coupe and find out more, Well of course the HJ Monaro has been painted, but the inside the doors, bonnet and boot have all been painted in Two Pack Tuxedo Black and the externals of the HJ Monaro are painted in Acrylic Tuxedo Black. The paint work on the outside has not been buffed yet, so there is still plenty of work to be done.
They have put the Roof lining in that they got from Rare Spares in Osbourne Park WA. They are going to start the interior this week with all new trim. They have sound deadener for the floor and new black carpet, as well as new GTS Dash, Console and so much more,
The HJ Monaro Coupe Seats have been retrimmed in Black Vinyl with a red stripe down the center and it looks amazing. Phil has all new door trims that he collected years ago waiting for this build to start and he can final use them. Phil is going to change the good old wind up window system to new power windows for the extra comfort in the new ride. He also has to get the whole HJ Monaro rewired, including changing it from a twin headlight to single headlight system.
The HJ Monaro Coupe will remain all black with Red Monaro badges, GTS Badges and Red GTS badge in the center of the steering wheel. Has another red GTS badge for the Dash as well.
He agrees that its been a long while, but things are getting done now. The finish is in sight. Phil has all new bumpers, grill, mirror, interior and glass for the HJ Monaro, however, there is still some parts missing. For example the power windows assembly is on back order and has been since January this year.
Phil is going to get a new exhaust system put on the HJ Monaro Coupe as he wants it to be quieter like the new HSV systems. He does not need to let people know his coming this days, as he thinks he's to old for that now.
Phil is going to widen the Pontiac rims to make them look good under the HJ Monaro with 7" rims at the front and 9" at the rear. He is going to get the diff shortened so the wheel fit nicely under the car and give it that tubbed look with out the changing the original wheel wells. Its going to have an aggressive look once it's finished.
Once the next time we see Phil and Troy, we can fat arm it down the road and cruise through Fremantle area for fun. Then we can show you the before and after images of this stunning HJ Monaro Coupe.
