To the point, very helpful. Theirs a 20 minute video on RUclips about the size and color. I noticed while trying to make my own, theirs a looper. Could you make a video on that please? Or try to explain?
That's a tough one, the 1 switch looper is not very intuitive. What I can tell you is that when you press it once it'll record, and if you step on it twice quickly to stop the loop, press it once then hold to undo/redo a loop.
Damien Girard yeah! My website is www.outsidetheboxworship.com My number 1 guitar right now is a Veritas portlander. But I’m a huge fan of fenders and have a tele that I love.
great video mate. Im looking for a DI Preamp solution for both my Bass and Guitar. Currently for Bass i have the Orange Bass Butler, but i whould really love to have a Guitar DI/PreAmp and some more effects like rev/del/Chor also for Guitar AND Bass. Do you think the HX stomp chould replace something like the Bass Butler and have an equally good sound?
@FynnFTWThe hx stomp is great for bass! The fact that you can split the signal by frequency by using a crossover split means you can process low end to keep it tight and higher frequencies to drive and distort makes it an invaluable tool for bass. 10/10 recommend.
Russ Mills thanks! I used my Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster for this one! But it sounds better (to my ears) with my Veritas, and way easier to set up on the road than my old amp.
Robert Munguia I guess I didn’t. when setting my overall volume it’s pretty low when you bring down the master and the drive to 5 and 3 respectively. Boosting the ch vol parameter helps keep my amp clean and loud just the way I need it.
BAGUS SW the answer is sometimes. It depends on the external pedal, where it is in your signal chain, and how you set up your hx stomp. The overdrives in the hx stomp are very good, but there are some pedals out there that I’d say are better.
I have get great sounds since I first time turned it on. Awesome amps and even presets that don't need any dialing. I just pick amp+cab, choose one that I like and... that's totally all. I don't know why I clicked on this video :D
Jiau Lam this is using an amp simulator which I would not recommend unless you were going direct to PA. For a good tone going into your amp you would just not add in the amp+cab block.
Dranoc plug your guitar into guitar input and to use the headphones, plug them into a 1/8”-1/4” adapter and plug that directly into the left side of the stomp labeled “headphones”
Whoa! Way too fast! At 1:38 you don't explain how you saved the amp/cab block, and moved to the distortion block. It looks like you stopped/started the camera. What did you do?
Hey man, thank you for that video. Very informative an well done. I own one of this things too. To me the distortion sounds are too digital and sound all very similar in terms of the distortion structure. To me they sound like a digital piece of plastic. Tubes are the only way to beautiful distortion. Thats why I use a tube overdrive in front of it !
My helix lonestar special patch sounds 95% as good as my real lonestar and pedalboard and is much easier to carry and set up. I also don't have to carry extra tubes and i can switch to 100 other amps with a button press. I love my real amps but you just cant beat the convenience and versatility of a modeling setup. The audience absolutely cant tell the difference. I have still not been able to reproduce the feel of an amp but i still stick with the modeller. One great thing about guitar is that we all pick something that works best for us. We are all on that journey as long as we are playing and the chase for a better tone never ends. There is so much good gear these days it is pretty overwhelming.
@@scottv8410 Hi Scott, you are absolutely right. Everybody has got a different way to play and a different taste in terms of how the guitar and the amp should react. If digital works it is fine. I love digital reverb, delay, chorus and the IR technologies, but, as I said, if it comes to distortion, up to my taste there is nothing that sounds and feels like tubes, especially in the upper harmonics and overtones. But there is everything out there to make every guitar player happy :-) By the way happy new year !
Super nice tone! Easy to set up. Loved it.
Thanks! This was more helpful than the Line 6 tutorial.
Thank you for the straightforward video on the basics
Thank you so much. This is exactly what I needed
lewisbeeman happy to help!
Awesome! I just ordered one, can hardly wait!
Thanks for that, of course could edit to 'Get Great Sounds On Your HX Stomp in 30 seconds' if you push that to CustomTone repository for us :)

This is amazing man! Im thinking twince now if I will get Helix LT/Floor!! but HX would be good I guest.
What happened to all of the blocks you used via the HX Stomp when you switched to the Stomp Edit software and then did your sound demo?
Nice one! do you have link for cools presets? what guitar did you use? thanks!

Awesome sounds, thanks bro, God Bless!
Step 1, GET RID OF THE 3RD BUTTON TAP/TUNER. And use it as another section.
but where can I control the tempo of my delay then?

@@TheYoungJoshR thing is my bass butler does the same. So... i dont really know if i want to sell it and get the HX.
But how does it do with a guitar? The hxs is excellent.
❤❤❤
Great video. Was really impressed with the tones. What guitar was used? Cleans with grit sounded as good as I have heard with any modeler.

Great video josh, looking forward to more like it. Btw did you explain why you turned the Channel volume all the way up?

Josh Ruppert cool good to know. Keep on rockn bro!
Hallo brother.. HX stomp with external overdrive pedal is better sound than hx stomp internal overdrive?

Can we use as guitar effects without any effects pedal ?
ephraimhtwe of course!
Nice!
Thanks !!!
Thumbs up for the tutorial, although you could have specified for what guitar type. Not a tone I would go for to be honest.

hi josh is this setting direct to amp or to pa system?

where do u put guitar? how do i use headphones?

@@TheYoungJoshR got it. the problem seems to be my guitar. the pickup is broken.
What guitar cable are you using?
Eduardo Di Giacomo I use a Mogami Gold 10’ cable.

I just left all the settings the same on the amp+cab and moved the selected block over. Started and stopped the camera for times sake when editing. =]
Very straight forward but wish all instruction could stay of the hardware and not HX Edit
All of the editing was done on the hardware. The screen capture portion of the video was only there to have something on the screen during that time.

Thanks bro
use global eq instead, save space and use it for something else
I save global EQ, for tweaking at the venue.
