      That is the million dollar question. Think we can’t be for sure, and there might have been others who used them way before, but he might be the first one who was really outspoken about it. As far as physiques goes, most guys in the 50s to 60s looked fairly strong, but non one was crazy outstanding. Once the 70s and especially 80s started, suddenly the difference became obvious. Also thanks for your feedback Donovan.

    So sport has basically not been authentic for the past 70 years or so?
    Can't trust anything you watch, the entire integrity of professional sport was compromised a long time ago.
    Interesting now and makes sense why Vince and the WWF took the brunt of it all in the early 90's, was a deflection and a cheap easy way to do it because wrestling is an entertainment sport and so it didn't really matter if they took all the heat.
    You cannot bet on wrestling matches..........

    • @howstrongis
      @howstrongis  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, thats a good point. Ziegler regreted his research in his later years. But if all high levels sports uses something, that makes the playfield almost even again....complicated issue, isnt it? As far as for fighting, it still takes a lot of skill, same with other sports. My former trainer always said....a bad fighter on roids is stilla bad fighter, just stronger than before :)

      @@howstrongis That's bollocks though, it's best cheating technology wins, how can anyone truly call themselves a great when using enhancements? How can they sleep at night with satisfaction?
      All rubbish as far as I'm concerned.

      It is crazy to think that steroids were once legal. I had to take limited doses for inflammation twice (gout), and they worked instantly. Something I would love to try for a month to see how it felt, but never would due to the serious side effects. One of the reasons so many pro wrestlers die in their 50s.

    • @jd9119
      @jd9119 7 месяцев назад

      If you go to any commercial gym, most of the people who use steroids don't look like they're on them.
      I wouldn't assume because they don't look like they're using gear that they're not on them. Look at Greg Valentine from the 80s. He didn't look like he used them at all, but he's admitted to using deca.
      But that being said also wouldn't necessarily believe everyone that looks jacked in wrestling is necessarily on there. There are genetic freaks in this world. They're rare, but they do exist

    It’s so adorable people still don’t think all those guys were’t on gear, including back then. Steroids have been around far longer than most are aware. How do you know someone doesn’t know their topic? They go by physique alone. As if that’s the only determining factor. Lance Armstrong was on gear. As far as wrestlers go, Jeff Hardy too. *START (not “Started”)
    “When did Wrestlers START using steroids?”
    In English, you don’t have to put the past tense of “start”, in this sentence format & question.
    Just trying to help, because I’m honestly sick and tired of seeing ignorance, when using the English language like this. Foreign or not. There’s no excuse anymore. I’m from Kentucky, in the 1980s…when people said we were ignorant because we’re were “Hick Hillbillies, who couldn’t talk right.” So, our state government HAMMERED English & Grammar home, to all students in the state. They have ever since. I also say this because AI is running rampant making us dumber.
    If you wanna jump in me, for “maybe it’s not their first language”, or “get off their backs”.
    It’s a fucking video TITLE, not just some random comment. BE PROFESSIONAL, about it! Fuck! But, two…all I’ll say is to go read ‘1984’, by George Orwell. WE have made OURSELVES take up “Newspeak”. The ‘Powers that Be’ haven’t had to do jack SHIT. We have made ourselves DUMB. So, you can try to crack on ME, all you want, with your participation trophies. I actually do have a big heart. I’m a big softie, actually. But, this shit has just gotten out of hand
