The nut you need for that ground bolt is a M5 0.8mm hex nut
That's a hard question to answer since worst case scenario can include so many things. Besides the unit no longer working I have never heard anything worse.

You are correct. Our current recommendations for this car are the GW1lVW1 and the Enfig VW1-AUX.

Not really much you can damage while doing this install. I think it was super cold on this day.
Be sure that you're ground is connected probatly. When i first installed mine, the ground was bad wired and had to replace the loop-cable thing. Afterwards it worked like a dream :)

No its the external CD changer post. IP-BUS is a pioneer specific port.

It was actually the customers best music of the year.
Since it uses the CD changer port you can only use it if you have a CD changer.

Sometimes the locking tabs have been roughed up by other people. Try bending the keys slightly towards the center of the radio. to get abetter grip.
I pulled the head unit out with homemade tools. It was a PITA so just buy those keys in the video. I ended up pulling the whole front panel out with brute force to access the locking clips
Those not only have bad sound quality but they also tend to break your cassette player and sometimes get stuck in the radio.

Yes but also look at he Dension GW1LVW1. it does iPod and AUX with control from the radio for a few dollars more.
Some Samsung S3 and S4 as well as iPhone 4S have a weird thing that causes noise from time to time. Usually an RCA filter fixes the issue.

we don't have the car in the us true but its basically the same hardware if you have the double din radios (Delta VI, MCD and MFD) it will be the same, Gamma radios use the single din radio tool and an iso plug instead of the big quadlock with the blue plug so it will be the same step to remove your radio but there will be differences in the wiring kit needed to make it work. Its the best info I can provide... don't know for enfig they may be able to fill the blanks for the sub and amp
Yes late 2002 is the same early 2002 has a cassette with no CD. That uses a different one.

Yes you need all 4 keys to take out the radio.
The Dension GW1LVW1 replaces this. The GW1LVW1 connects behind the radio.

The nano must have been all the way down. Usually a few clicks under max is optimal.

It's a ring terminal.
I'm trying to install this on my 2007 A4, but the radio doesn't have that little knob in the back for the ground wire. Since Idk how to cut it into the brown wire, what are my other options? (unless its easy to put it into the brown wire)?
is this high quality sound, equal to cd quality, when you had the nano plugged in i saw you turned the volume up quite alot to get sound, or was that because the volume on the nano was low
i got 3 of the keys to click in, the 4th just slides all the way to the back like nothings there,.is there another way to pull radio out

I have an 03 passat and I just found an auxilary interface adapter plugged into something in the trunk and is not grounded. Any advice on how I could get that to work or do I need to remove it from the trunk and hook it up the way your doing it on the video?

I have the same navigation and the same auxiliary but is working on usb only when the engine is stopped, why ?
This unit did not have a USB so it cannot be this unit.

Nice video, but I still have a couple questions. My car is a 2003 Golf, and I just want a regular 3.5mm aux jack that I can stick my iphone into. I assume I should get the "Enfig VW1-AUX" from the link in the description? If so, it seems to be a simpler design than the unit installed in the video, so is the installation process pretty much the same?

It works the Dension is just much more reliable and we used to get complaints on distortion every once in a while with the BlitzSafe. Zero complaints with the Dension units. They cost us a little bit more but we never raised the prices.
What gauge wire is the ground?
