- Israeli settlers and police clashed with Armenian activists in Jerusalem on Wednesday. The activists allege that police unlawfully removed guard rooms used by the Armenian community to protect disputed land.
Reportedly, the land, known as Cows' Garden in the Armenian Quarter of Jerusalem, was sold to an Israeli-Australian developer intending to build a luxury hotel. The Armenian community deems the deal, orchestrated by the former Patriarch of the Armenian church, as "illegal."
The Armenian community asserts that the deal will not only impact the church grounds but also the homes of five Armenian families who did not consent to the agreement.
With the case still in court, Israeli settlers have been attempting to access the land and initiate the demolition process, resulting in clashes with Armenian activists for the past six months.

I know a lot of people believe Ashkenazi "white they believe" are the majority in Israel, but in fact people of color are the majority 2/3rd's of Israel that being mostly Mizrahi Jews and Sephardic Jews; not that any of those descriptions describe the origins except for maybe Mizrahi and Yemenite Jews.
