thats about 21.5K USD. honestly a lot more then i thought it would be worth but good for you man. always good to have a car that goes up in value no matter what it is.
I remember browsing around the internet reading anything and everything I could about MR2s, and I came across yours in an article. I remember this car being such a big deal running “aggressive” wheels and it was one of my favorites growing up. I randomly came across this RUclips page while perusing the net, and glad to see that this car is still in one piece! Cheers from California.
Very nice. I used the no bucket method. Foam it. Rinse. Foam again and then use 2 mits per side. I am not a tree hugger, but it saves a bunch of water and there is less to lug out of the garage. Without knowing the mileage or seeing the interior, I will estimate it to be worth no less than 24k usd.
Bought my sw20 3sgte for $5500, full engine refresh & bolt-ons to 375hp $7500, full strip, body kit & original paint $6,000, new rims $1400. My guess is between $22-25k Insurance values it at nothing.
I own a 91 mr2/91 4Runner.. both have been awesome cars for me. My JDM is a garage sitter as well it gets a lot of covered and trickle time. Not selling mine as well, hold onto it;)
Love rewatching mr2 videos, Not many people post MR2 content on youtube. I own 4 mr2 t-tops and never will ever get rid of them for millions..... its going to be passed down to my kids and generation. Personal opinion these cars are better than most new cars or ever made.
@@CanadianGearhead iv been waiting haha, all the mr2 content are just cinematic! Lol and if there are any it isn’t consistent. Im thinking about doing content on mr2 as well
I tell everyone with a JDM classic to get an agreed-value policy; just get it appraised, get the appraisal notarized and give the notarized appraisal to your insurance agent who in turn sets the policy up! My MR2 is worth right in the middle of BAT prices which is perfect for me.
It's so funny seeing your garage- I still have the 03 v8 4runner (with 89000 miles!) and I owned and miss my MR2 turbo. Traded it for the twin turbo Supra when it came out ,but I miss the MR2 more, except in snow! Supra wasn't great in snow either but I didn't change the tires on it. I got to take both to road track -9 times for the MR2. It was actually a MS2 because the guys at autocross called it a mister 2 to annoy me! Even had license plate MS2TRB! Kept with Supra for " my Supra 2 turbos". It worked 😄
Hello. How are you? Fantastic car. I just got one with 68.000 km! Red like yours, T Top, Greddy side skirts, and carbonetics LSD! Thanks for your videos. What do you think of the LSD?
In his appraisal do the modifications help or hinder value? (I've always found that people over value low km & shiny paint to overall enjoyability & reliable fun)
Not a chance here in Ireland 8K all day long will buy you a highly modified car but the problem is selling it its ur modifcations mightened be to my liking so MOSTNOW SOLD AS STARDARD 2500 Euros upwards
MR2s aren't worth a lot. The North American market is overinflated, Canadian especially. Everyone posts their cars for $10-15k, but nobody actually sells or buys them at these prices. Then someone else sees the price, says "Hey, mine is better and worth more. It's $20k.", the cycle repeats and that's how they became so expensive. The one benefit is in the event of a write off that you get an inflated value. Yours is very clean and I don't mean to crap on the price. But realistically there's no reason why the car is worth so much here when in Europe or Asian markets it's a fifth or less of what our market demands. If anything, the North American markets always receive the worse off models and trims, which would make them less desirable.
RHD was made from 1991-1999 . LHD in the North American market was only 91-95. I know a few people who sold theirs for 25k and 32k . the later being a tropical blue 95. You just don't hear about them selling that high because most of those people purchase outside of Ebay and Facebook. RHD MR2's are worth maybe 1/3rd the amount. If anything RHD imports are over-priced.

It's always great to hear stories like that. Rest assured it's still being cared for!
Clean Canadian example. Wish mine wasn't a rust bucket. Still 2gr swapped my 91 NA and would ask 20k - 24k to just break even.

I'm hoping to have lots more MR2 content coming soon!

The only thing that gets me a little preoccupied, is the snap oversteer on these. Does the LSD helps?

Your fitment is incredible. Good shit

That is a very great looking car you did an awesome job with that car love it

The LSD is great! Nice and smooth. It won't help with snap oversteer though but that's really not a big issue anyways
Very nice car. The only issue I could see was the large amount of smoke on start up. Looks like the valves might need some attention
Bigger fuel system, standalone ecu, bigger cams - pretty normal for some smoke on startup especially in colder weather
tu as fait du très bon travail continue comme ça
Whats the wheel specs and offset bro?
The whole build is right here: canadiangearhead.com/trend-proof-why-my-mr2-will-withstand-the-test-of-time/

He didn't say specifically but it seems to me like they neither add or subtract from the value in this case
Now you should see how much Carmax wil offer
