I don't know if you've read the novel, but.....ahhhh I love Dokja. He is one of the most interesting characters I've ever seen in media. Bro had no reason to make me so emotionally invested in his shenanigans. He also had no right to be that well written...like tf? I thought he was supposed to be a generic power fantasy protagonist, but NOPE. The emotional damage is strong with this one
Yk the thumbnail is a lot funnier when you think about what happens in the novel. Im not gonna spoil anything. But jesus christ if you havent read it i highly suggest.
5:08 It's interesting that you point out that the power system basically forces the characters to be well-written. I know generally that I like ORV because of the characters, and that their skills reflect their personalities, but I never put it together like that. In order to survive, they have to have their own story arcs that both develop them as a character from a reader's point of view and powers them up in world. 12:50 It really makes me sad that someone may not give ORV a chance because of the pacing. I think the disconnect comes from it being a story about a reader for readers, and so a person who likes to read loves all the subtlety and the development that a person reading a comic may not actually be looking for. But something that gives me hope is the talks of an anime. I love the novel, but I think that the comic did a really good job of bringing to life these larger than life fight scenes in a way that is visually stunning. The anime, potentially with a different pacing, could reach a different audience that may not have given the comic or novel a chance because of that. I just really want to see all different versions of ORV ^-^ Great video!
I really love and cherish the amazing story Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint has to offer, i literally binge read the manhwa and novel when i first found out about it lol It sounds like you haven't read the novel yet but its going to be extremely good. Well there are a lot of emotional and sad parts but i think that those scenes just make the story even more amazing
I framed this video to be very intro friendly! I have read all of the novel up until the beginning of the side stories and didnt want to spoil the fun and journey for anyone! 😊
I clicked on the video due to the irony of the thumbnail, I wanted to know if it was intentional or not.... Great video :) It brought back the orv obsession, and I already know I'm gonna cry so much ;-;
@@arandominternetuser4507 i haven’t found the time to read the webtoon to catch up on that arc but from my knowledge of the novel I think it’s a very good arc with great setup and a fantastic conclusion! It’s a dramatic, emotional, and stunning arc that really sets the stage for things to get more insane
This was a nice video i just want to point out something. i looked at your eyes the whole time and it bothered me that it looked like you are reading a script word by word. Its fine if you do but itll be better to memorize it for the video so youre eyes dont move in a line motion. But really enjoyed listening to your thoghts about my favorit novel^^
Also a fair take! I think his bland personality is just very refreshing in its own way, esp since i felt like it was more interesting than a lot of other copy/paste action protags imo LOL

Ive watched that one too many times
I’ve watched it so many times and I giggle every time

I could tell by the way that you phrased some things that you’ve read through the novel and I just have to salute you 🫡
Tell me fool, if I keep making ORV videos, will I ever get to meet you again?

It really is a beautiful story, and also seeing the implications of potentially THREE different versions is fascinating to me
@Pajiyuh right? I can't wait for an official English translation of the novel. I'm definitely going to be coming through for differences lol
I need to get back into this. This is such a great Webtoon's to read

Webtoon's most average and generic protagonist more like
Also a fair take! I think his bland personality is just very refreshing in its own way, esp since i felt like it was more interesting than a lot of other copy/paste action protags imo LOL
Basically the embodiment of 'The Duality of Man'
He's supposed to appear extremely average and unremarkable. It's to coverup a lot of the things kept hidden.
@@Kitsunary one of my fav modern examples of “don’t judge a book by its cover” frfr
except he's a part of a good story that other protagonists can never dream of being a part of
