when i fist play onimusha, i thought that this game has good action but then after i play all until the dawn of dream. Damn this game.....this game's story is so awesome. i almost never find a game that makes me cry(except that metal gear when the game order us to shoot her) siriusly this game is really really awesome........i never find a game with awesome story as this again in now days. much game only focus on how awesome the graphic is

i WANT ONIMUSHA 5!!!!!!!! maybe with the return of NOBUNAGA with the powers of Fortinbras, that will be COOOOL!!!!!!! and SOki will return as the protagonist, and Tenkai(samanosuke), Ohatsu, ROberto, and JUBEI!!!!!!!!
Well there you have it. I think this is one of very few Capcom franchises with an actual ending storyline (along with Mega Man Zero). For all of DoDs faults (first time through i found this game ridiculously grindy with too many things to upgrade along with bosses having way too much health, not an issue on NG+ with good weapons though) i'm really happy that it wrapped up the storyline quite nicely. That dickish cliffhanger in Oni 3 man...end of a trilogy my ass (still my favourite though)! Yeah a new game or an HD Collection would be nice but i'm happy with what i got. A complete and nearly flawless quadrilogy.

@Tekirai historical facts: everyone used in the game actually did exist. mitsude samanoske akechi aka tenkai, killed nobunaga at honnoji temple, and then changed his name to tenkai nakanobo, so he could become a monk and not being hounded by everyone else. he indeed live a long time, in the warring states (1550's) he was a samurai, so yea its not hard to amagin he lived to 1590's.
reapordeath it’s Hidemitsu Akechi, son-in-law of Mitsuhide, though Samanosuke is based on Mitsuhide, Samanosuke is a made up name, as too is Heihachi. Hidemitsu did die in the battle of Honnoji
If another Onimusha game were to be made then the main character could be Kotaro Fuma because he was half Oni (Ogre).His father was said to be an ogre while his mother was Human.In real life Kotaro was said to be 7 feet tall with huge muscles,red hair,pale skin, upward eyes that could glow red when his oni powers were activated and four sharp fangs.His yell is said to have been heard from 3-5 miles away and he was light footed.

this game was perfect..ost and story gameplay to me there is only 3 perfect games i played okami and this and kingdom hearts 1 and 2 fuck the other oh and 3...i think
During the opening of the first onimusha he had a staff, both in 1 and 3 he had a double edged staff as a weapon, so probably he prefer the staff over the sword.

There is still the possibility of an Onimusha movie with Takeshi Kaneshiro reprising his role as Samanosuke. I won't give up on that.

Umm just want to confirm Ichigo was voiced by Morita Masakazu while Soki was voiced by Toshiyuki Kusuda their voice doesn't sounds alike.
