A long, long time ago, I made a promise to someone, to record the ending of Onimusha Dawn of Dreams with the english voices and put it up.
It's been 2 long, long years. And the guy's account was closed months ago. But when I say I'll do something, I mean it.

Man, I wish they had released a HD pack of this for the PS3
This and the Tenchu series would have been a great franchise to remake

If another Onimusha game were to be made then the main character could be Kotaro Fuma because he was half Oni (Ogre).His father was said to be an ogre while his mother was Human.In real life Kotaro was said to be 7 feet tall with huge muscles,red hair,pale skin, upward eyes that could glow red when his oni powers were activated and four sharp fangs.His yell is said to have been heard from 3-5 miles away and he was light footed.

Also, Kotaro was actually 9 ft tall when he shifted to his demonic form(his true shelf.) His mouth stretched to his ears(like the joker.), had slotted eyes like a cat,Sharp teeth, and was able to stretch his arms(which were uneven with knots), he was said to be the master of fire and wind and despite his gigantic size, he could me as swift as a cat.(Combine all the previous features I put together almost two years ago and leave out the 7 ft part. I.When he wasn't in his demonic state he was 5'7".
+Roje' Oubre wow he appearance must look like a demon than human,and i heard kotaro calls himself "the wind of chaos" cause his element attck was fire n wind (like u said) so i think kotaro more like demon-god than human...

i like to think of nioh as the spiritual successor to the onimusha series since that game pretty much picks up right after this game historically

tenkai dont really look like Samanosuke he look young o.O plus he dont look like takeshi kaneshiro that kinda suck
i WANT ONIMUSHA 5!!!!!!!! maybe with the return of NOBUNAGA with the powers of Fortinbras, that will be COOOOL!!!!!!! and SOki will return as the protagonist, and Tenkai(samanosuke), Ohatsu, ROberto, and JUBEI!!!!!!!!
when i fist play onimusha, i thought that this game has good action but then after i play all until the dawn of dream.
Damn this game.....this game's story is so awesome. i almost never find a game that makes me cry(except that metal gear when the game order us to shoot her)
siriusly this game is really really awesome........i never find a game with awesome story as this again in now days. much game only focus on how awesome the graphic is
Underrated af. This game is unfortunately shadow by all the FF.
So underrated, I rented it back in 2006 not knowing a single thing about the game. It’s one of my favorite games of all time.. I still replay it and listen to the soundtrack on RUclips

Well there you have it. I think this is one of very few Capcom franchises with an actual ending storyline (along with Mega Man Zero).
For all of DoDs faults (first time through i found this game ridiculously grindy with too many things to upgrade along with bosses having way too much health, not an issue on NG+ with good weapons though) i'm really happy that it wrapped up the storyline quite nicely.
That dickish cliffhanger in Oni 3 man...end of a trilogy my ass (still my favourite though)!
Yeah a new game or an HD Collection would be nice but i'm happy with what i got. A complete and nearly flawless quadrilogy.
I don't believe Soki actually died. I believe he just went back to becoming the Oni God of Darkness.
I felt as though he needed to return to complete the world’s purification
jubei yagyu (onimusha 2) is still alive and is akanes grandfather
samanosuke (onimusha 3) is still alive with ako and took up different names
Soki is possibly but dosen't compare to the other two

During the opening of the first onimusha he had a staff, both in 1 and 3 he had a double edged staff as a weapon, so probably he prefer the staff over the sword.

There is still the possibility of an Onimusha movie with Takeshi Kaneshiro reprising his role as Samanosuke. I won't give up on that.

@@angelofdarkness5361 pretty sure he become immortal Oni like or something after the event of onimusha 3 , thats why his hair is white like he is in the Oni form,,, and he is not changing his name, people just called him that after a while doing hi job purifying genma, Tenkai Kenobo translate as Tenkai the Purifier , it more like an aliases rather than name.

Tenkai as Samanoske. The main character throughout Onimusha start his new name. Maybe because his life changes, even the world.
Damn it this ending is such a tease, Samanosuke is Tenkai and we still don't know what happened to Kaede
In Onimusha Blade Warriors it says Kaede dies by Gargant, Hence why Samanosuke killed Gargant in the intro of Onimusha 3

Kaijin no Soki apparently Blade Warriors is cannon, and it had a huge impact in the Onimusha story
I never knew that tbh. I never played Blade Warriors, but that's awesome. I hope they reboot the series, or at the very least make it HD remake on the PS4 like they're doing DMC.

this is one of the best video game endings ever, even better than many films. the song is beautiful. it felt like a closed out a chapter of my life with these characters.

Man, i'v played and beat all the onimusha till this game, never got around to playing it. Samanoske is still alive T.T*sob sob* i love him!

few years ago....i cried as well....2times watch my brother (im youngest of 4-8years) now i didnt but have something inside crying.....i think my brother said that soki is the voice of ICHIGO KURUSAKI in BLEACH (few years he said that) and uhh for samanoski, dont u mean Samanosuke? just helping.
Umm just want to confirm Ichigo was voiced by Morita Masakazu while Soki was voiced by Toshiyuki Kusuda their voice doesn't sounds alike.

mitsude samanoske akechi aka tenkai, killed nobunaga at honnoji temple, and then changed his name to tenkai nakanobo, so he could become a monk and not being hounded by everyone else. he indeed live a long time, in the warring states (1550's) he was a samurai, so yea its not hard to amagin he lived to 1590's.
reapordeath it’s Hidemitsu Akechi, son-in-law of Mitsuhide, though Samanosuke is based on Mitsuhide, Samanosuke is a made up name, as too is Heihachi.
Hidemitsu did die in the battle of Honnoji

@45xenosaga Ako turned into a human at the end of Onimusha 3. You might have to do some stuff in-game to unlock that scene.

@Tekirai lol egyptian is a good country to do. when i did something like tht for world history i chose japan but i was absent the day i was supposed to give a report on it so i failed. i didnt write anything down lol i have an almost photographic memory, so i was like "dude wtf? lemme get a shot on this" and my teacher said "nope, you werent here so you fail." and i was gonna do a brief description of sengoku period and the meiji period lol but noooo...

@vergilheartnet actually its because historiclly he actually did live that long. after he killed nobunaga at honoji temple, he changed his name and retired from being a samurai to become a monk. in the game hes old and is young looking because the gautlant doesnt keep him from dying, it just slows down his aging rate.

She has Oni blood because her grandfather, Yagyu Sekishusai/Sogen(formerly the bearer of the name "Jubei"; main protagonist of Onimusha 2), was born of a human father and Takajo(an Oni)

dude ive beaten every onimusha atleat like 8 or 9 times already...well not dawn of dreams ive only beatin that 3 times because of the locks you gotta go threw >.
@Johnnylee19 well the gaunlet of the ogres is actually making him pretty much immortal in keeping his youth so he is 60 but physically a 30 or 40 ya know

they did it because this game follows feudal japan's history in some ways. in real life, akechi mitsuhide that is portrayed by samanosuke in the onimusha series killed nobunaga, and then to avoid his own death, he hid as the monk tenkai nankobo
Yeah but thats mostly a myth , its said that Mitsuhide along with Toyotomi had a secret pact to overthrow Nobunaga , and then Toyotomi stabbed Mitsuhide in the back , forcing him to keep a low profile as a Monk named Lord Tenkai
Uhh Mitsuhide is in Onimusha 3, right at the very beginning, he gives Samanosuke his armor before he goes to fight Nobunaga.
So Samanosuke wasn't portraying Mitsuhide, they were two separate characters in the game.
