I love how you can always see his girlfriend Jane laughing in the back of every Gervais interview, you can tell they get along well because she still actually laughs at all his jokes.

People just look for any weakness they can point out to scrutinize you on lol they see someone who claims they're "secure" in their identity so the masses on the internet look for every little detail up to the body language you display to be able to call you out on being "intimidated" or "insecure" and I personally thinks it's just a mechanism to make them feel better about themselves internally lol
I think the problem with Ricky is he wants to define comedy. So Ricky is the whiz kid who made a worldwide series in his 30s without any prior experience and couple of successful series after that and movies. Then coasted into standup just off his fame. He then talks about comedy as a lifelong pro next to Joe who has been greasing the mic of standup for 25+ years. Now it is this whiz kid defining comedy not him who has the experience. I see how he might have felt weird about it. He has grown to appriciate the guy since though. Most telling is a clip from Rogan when he says "he is a real comic" after the golden globes. It is not a thing one would say if he didn't think something different before.

This show definitely would benefit from a permanent video element. Maybe a camera pointed at each chair recording each show that way when something crazy happens, or when there's a big guest interview, the video would be available to edit up and catch everyone's reactions as it happened.
Every show and every segment wouldn't need to be released, but by having the video rolling all the time you'll catch those moments that work in video format really well.
Joe just enjoying Gervais.. Yall forget, Joe is chill and can just realx.

I don't think Joe is necessarily "uncomfortable" though, he's probably just being respectful and not trying to run the show because it's not *his* show or even a show that is primarily about him at that moment. He's actually on record as saying he really likes Ricky and has a huge amount of respect for him for not giving a fuck and never shying away from taboo topics. His most recent Golden Globes performance is a great example of that because he not only said things hardly any other comedian would say, he did it in front of the people he was talking about *and* made it funny/made them laugh. As a comedian, you *have* to respect someone who's capable of doing something like that.

For everyone wondering, the tension between Joe and Ricky is possibly due to their giant presence in the podcast industry. Ricky hosted one of the most successful radio shows in history, being one of the first podcasts out there, and joe being the leader of modern podcasts
This was 8 years ago though I don’t think JRE was even a fraction as popular

Listening is a big skill and this would of been on joes come up in the podcast world.
I can't tell what it is between Ricky and rogan. There was no hostility, just a bit of tension, just that tension when some people don't exactly gel. I honestly just think that while Joe tries to be a jack of all trades - which he nearly succeeds at, his comedic talent is his least effective attribute, whereas Ricky has put his whole life into comedy creatively, and it's the elephant in the room. I always feel like whenever Joe is in the room with comedians rather than fighters, there's that silent understanding that Joe is a pretty sub par comedian. I don't think anyone will say this to him because he has the ability to tear your neck off.

I believe it comes down to their stances on hunting animals, Joe is a pro hunter and Ricky is the complete opposite.

I disagree with the comments here saying that Joe was quieter because he was outsmarted (or ''outfuned'') by Ricky. Gervais is obviously a much better comedian but I think Joe was quieter because he did not want to participate in a senseless, disorganized conversation. These guys were all complaining about how in twitter and media in general only the loudest gets the attention, whilst doing exactly that! Talking louder over each other. Joe tried to say his thoughts but when interrupted chose to remain silent and patient. I say bravo Joe Rogan.

That's why TEXTING in relationships can be so bad ..if it is a relationship issue going on, texting should NEVER be used, you can read into words wrong, which can completely ruin a relationship! Spoken words are better. You can always explain what a person misheard by what you said! I hate texting for life issues. Texting to ask a quick question is what texting was for.

@Billy Jackson - Try to differentiate between someone who needs to kill wild animals to survive and one who kills for the sheer pleasure of it (not just to eat them). Also, if everyone hunted for their foods these days there would be no animals left. You really have no idea what you're talking about.
Your justification of killing wild animals in relation to caged animals seems to be the only argument you have and it's getting tiresome.

its pretty easy to understand swear words - you just use context and tone to create its meaning .... The C or F bomb can really be used in every sentence and it will mean something different every-time. The trick is not to listen to individual words but the whole conversation or sentence . Some people , are just waiting to be offered ...
