Clemson defeated Boston College 31-3 on Saturday night. The highlights included precise pass from DJ Uiagalelei, incredible receptions, and the return of Clemson favorite, Xavier Thomas. Riddled with health issues, Thomas played only 6 snaps, but registered 2 sacks earning him ACC honor for the week. The Tigers are 6-0. Next-up, Florida State.

Wow, I can just feel the enthusiasm and excitement you have for your team going through a growth spurt. I'm really excited for DJ. Unlike you, I follow other teams and root for other players, especially underdogs and players overcoming injuries and/or making a comeback. I know I shouldn't care about other teams, but I do get hooked into individual stories. One of my FAVORITE things is Cinderella teams like Kansas State that have been the absolute bottom of the barrel for years and are suddenly up and comers.
Even though I'm a rabid Buckeye fan, I live in Austin, Texas, so pretty much everyone around me is a Longhorn fan. I'm telling you, football is king here in Austin and people are crazy about it, even though our team has been substandard for years. Out football team has enough money for 10 college programs to run, but for some reason we have been unable to make a run for the championship in years.
Well, finally it looks like there's a spark of a chance because of Quinn Ewers taking over as quarterback. He was the #1 top recruit in the country 2 years ago. So I am getting some excitement for the football team in my home city. You wouldn't BELIEVE the absolute mayhem and mania that happened here after the OU rout last weekend.
Have you heard of Jaxon Smith-Njgiba? He's the #1 wide receiver in the country, but he's been injured and hasn't played in 6 games. He is our star player, even though of course we have others. Anyway, we've still balled out even without him, so we're having a stellar season. Everyone is imagining if Ohio State is doing THIS well without our star player, what is our ceiling when Jaxon returns? All the Buckeyes are salivating over the prospect of this.
IF my team ever meets your team this year, AND if your Tigers are missing the guys in the secondary, I could really see us mopping up the floor with you, because our wide receivers, quarterback and offensive line are CRAZY off the chart this year. I know your defense, though is really good this year also. I can see if DJ and your offense continues to grow, you could really give our defense a run for their money.
This is an exciting season and I KNOW Bobby Dirkens is having a blast this season, too!
