Hi Rosie ...There is another technique for doing the headband and covering the ears that is currently part of a cuffed cap I make and sell. I will be doing that soon and that will be a three size pattern with instructions for a headband and a pillbox style toque. I am just doing the toque video now and will work on the cap and headband next week. Then from there we will do a full brimmed bucket hat using the same top piece. @@madcaphats thanks Tori! I’m still making lots of slouchy’s for my winter golf gals and now some want the visor…all proceeds going to our Homeless and transitioning women here in Nanaimo. I have also made the flat cap and the boho. They are all great patterns with easy to follow directions. I even had a fellow bring me his old and decrepit Tilley hat😆 I used your ear flap template to replace the lining and add on the flaps. Thanks again😍

I am morphing this design into a cap with a fitted top for my next video and this double layer band with visor sits around the head as well. I will be showing one more way of making a headband with a visor as I make the cap. The band on that one will be a bit narrower. Stay tuned!

Do you think this could be made with a 4 way stretch cotton lycra?
Give it a try...you might need less fabric going around the head. Use lots of pins! Let us know how it goes ❤️

If you made the back of the band slimmer it would lay more comfortably/smoother under your hair.
