Great video, looking to do a 6 inch lift on our 2017 Ram. We where just talking about wheel and tires and trying to decide on 37 or 35. Just curious, could you tell me what the offset is on the 22 in wheels you have on this truck?
We offer 4" kits specific for the air-ride equipped RAM 1500s. Check them out at bds-suspension.com/products/4-inch-lift-kit-ram-1500-w-air-ride-19-22-4wd
To maintain steering angles once lifted, the kits utilize a taller steering knuckle with a relocated steering arm mount to connect the OE steering tie rods ends. These require 18" or larger wheels for sufficient clearance the later model RAMs, 17" or smaller wheels cannot be used. We list our wheel/tire recommendations at bds-suspension.com/product?kid=1661F
This kit uses a replacement full length coil spring in the rear, We don't offer airbag options and can't confirm compatibility. If going with an airbag that installs inside the coil spring you'll need to ensure it is long enough to work with the additional 5" of coil height. If the airbags you are looking at are a replacement to swap out the coil springs you'll need to confirm they can provide the necessary ride height to level the stance.
Dang, I have no idea what lift I have on mine🤔. I’d love to get that system. When I got my truck a month ago, it was already lifted. It’s a 6” as well. A 2021 RAM 1500 Bighorn. Whatever kit they have in my truck. It rides just fine. My tires are 35’s. The only problem I’m having is the rubbing of the tire on the driver side. It doesn’t rub on the passenger side for some reason🤔. It happens every time I turn to the left 🤦🏽♂️. Other then that. I love my truck.
Find out more info on this and other kit options at bds-suspension.com/product?kid=1661H. We have a dealer/installer network you can also check with for kit and install pricing, find your nearest dealer at bds-suspension.com/distributor-lookup
Our 4"/6" systems allow you to run 18" or larger wheels. If you plan to run 18s we recommend 4.5-5" backspacing for steering clearance. Stock 18s cannot be reinstalled unless you add wheel spacers to achieve the recommended backspacing measurement.
@@TheFacelessMan82 I believe the Ecodiesel has a different drive shaft length than the HEMI’s - so have to make sure whatever kit you have takes that into acct (depending on how high you plan to lift of course)
I have a bds 6in coilover suspension kit, somehow my ball joint broke not even 1200 miles on the kit and take into consideration that this is my daily driver so I don't drive it hard at all and long story short it cause major damage to my whole front right side and they only want to cover the ball joint.. really disappointed in bds at the moment..
@@DirtNassty after at the headache that came from it, I did initially pay about 2700 out of pocket. BDS did own up to their warranty and paid me out with a check. So, I do stand by their warranty.
@@DirtNassty what caused a problem was the shop I ordered my kit from said they were a authorized dealer until this happened. They kept saying they were in touch with BDS when they weren’t. After I took it into my own hands and started making calls was when things started to get better. So if anything comes from this make sure it gets installed by a BDS authorized dealer.
That fine print warranty is not true just got a 7" bds for my 2018 toyota tundra had problem with my coilovers did not do anything for me it was a blame game they blamed it on the guy that install it so be aware it's not what they say
I absolutely agree, I purchased a full 6in coilover kit for my 2020 ram 1500 and upped it up with their uca and 1200 miles later the ball joint completely sheered driving down a dirt road to a birthday party ( I live in Hesperia ca aka the high desert so we have a lot of dirt roads still) and completely destroyed my whole front right side and only want to replace the ball joint also know my brand new coilover is ruin, my spindle is ruined, my axel is ruined, my tie rod is ruined, and possibly other damage as well so I'm really disappointed in bds at the moment for a faulty part and not owning up to it. also know I've never jumped and driven my truck hard at all barely got 11000 miles on my truck total what a mess this turned out to be..
@@robertmontoya4941 wow... I think I'll just stay away with lifting the truck at ALL. That is definitely scary thank god you were not on a highway or at high speeds.
I think I must have missed the part where he talks about refinancing your house so you can afford all of this shit, and then turn over your first born for the labor costs.
First off do not put a video up if your not going to answer key customers questions. Second, you left out a lot of technical specs... namely ride height change over stock. Given this video and some customer replies I will pass. Carli here I come money in hand.
lol like they give a fuck...they make one of the best kits available for these trucks....I'm gunna save a little money tho and buy the Zone kit, pretty much same exact thing and save ya a grand with the upgraded options
@@DirtNassty your probably right about them not giving a shit. BDS is owned by Fox and the kit changes a lot of things on the truck. I know Carli is coming out with a 3 inch kit that is supposed to be the best. However, it may not provide enough lift for the cost...the cost is something like 4.5k just for the kit which is extremely expensive. Plus labor your looking at 6K. Super expensive for what you get. The BDS kit is kinda weak IMO but maybe I’m wrong but brackets and stamped steel is never good. We shall see what happens. I will look at the zone kit you mentioned.
This is a bad ass set up, seems proper and aligns to factory settings.
Where’s the 6 inch kit for 5th Gen Air Ride Ram 1500s?
ReadyLift 6inch and rough country 5 inch are only options for the limited (ik its 3yrs later😂)

This is the only way i would lift my 2020. Need to start saving some extra cash 😅
Does this kit sit higher then a regular 6inch lift or do they all sit the same height?
when are you going to make a kit to fit the diesel?

Beautifully :)
what is your offset in wheels?
What’s with Airride?
What about air suspension? My Limited gas active air suspension. Would that be removed or worked around?

Where do I go for u to install it
