    TOA! Pine makes for a lively campfire. We usually play Dodge the Embers or First campfire chair to burn wins. You know, games this great nation was built on. In all honesty, it is a great wood and has a certain purpose for many of us. Take care, brother. WST

    My wife don't want me to burn pine in the house because she thinks it's toxic. I told her as long as it's seasoned it's fine most of my pine is usually under 10% or less. I use my pine mostly for kindling and for burning in the fire pit excellent wood for that I like using hardwood for my wood furnace.

    • @toddsoutsideagain
      @toddsoutsideagain  Год назад

      I use most of the pine we have to make my kindling bundles and to burn in our fire pit as well. The only pieces that put off suet when burning are the really knotty pieces. Still most people think it will make their house explode🤣

    I never noticed two things…1.) that splitter has a pretty fast cycle time for a box store splitter 2.) it’s got a really tall knife. Great lookin’ pine!

    • @toddsoutsideagain
      @toddsoutsideagain  2 года назад +2

      Yes and yes. The cycle time is 10 seconds and the knife I believe is 12” This was in my opinion the best boxer I could buy in my area. In August we have had it for two years and no complaints yet. Thanks for watching Mike👍🏻

    Hey TOA, nice looking pine splits. We have never had pine in our woodyard since we do not have any on our land. We do have tons of hickory though and by the looks of it that pine is a joy to split. How does the pine cut with the saw? Any issues of pine sap buildup on the bar or chain when cutting green wood?

    • @toddsoutsideagain
      @toddsoutsideagain  2 года назад

      Same here! We don’t have pine in our woods. The little bit I have gotten has came from peoples yards. Pine cuts like butter and I did not have any sap buildup on the bar and chain. Thanks for watching B&F

    Pine is Fine, candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker, yeah Todd, pine gets a bad rap, any wood will create creosote if not seasoned, it’s the unburned gases that coat the chimney, I burn it, mix it in the stove like a 4 to I ratio with hardwoods, glad you got rain, out here in Coruptifornia, normal to not get a drop of rain from end of May to end of October. Sucks, can’t wait for Fall. Take care

    Keeping at it little at a time .,, when it’s enjoyable it’s not really working that hard. Likin this cutting the circled limb knots out so you can split the straight gravy rounds 💪👍👍🇺🇸. If I get into some pine we’ll do. I think I saw shifty do this knot section removal on pine …, “ knot” Sure though , anyways later T.O.A.

      Little at a time adds up. Removing the limb sections worked great. Shifty might have done it too. It just made sense. Thanks for watching Richy👍🏻🍻
