I love that too. Surprised it was in the trailer because it didn't make it into the theatrical cut. He gets hit into Liberty's torch instead. Much as I like that, I miss seeing these two interact. Too bad they couldn't use both.
They made Part II a little too campy. the Producers hated Richard Donner's "serious" style and they were filming parts I and II at the same time.. at some point they fired Donner, or he quit.. and they had to reassemble the story lines and we got Parts I and II from it
Come to think of it, did Zod and his co. actually know that Krypton was destroyed?? That'd be interesting if he did pull a team up with Superman to try and convince him to rebuild Krypton on Earth. Of course Clark'll refuse.
The producers fired Donner, after he had 80 % of number II done. They brought in Richard Lester and they refilmed much of the movie. I like Donners cut of Superman II better, less campy. And did away with all the extra powers that Superman showed in II, namely multipble images of himself, and throwing an S sheild at Non.
I like the theatrical version of this movie more than the version with different scenes because it has him doing the Earth rotating trick again. I think it is lame to see that twice. Once was enough
The TV version (a.k.a. international cut) has the same ending as the theatrical version. The turn-back-time scene in the Donner Cut was to show what if he was allowed to end _Superman I_ on a cliffhanger and not have Lois die. If Donner had finished _Superman II_ then he would have had to do an ending like the kiss-your-memories-goodbye scene they used.
Because Superman returns was terrible that is why. The story in the first two movies is better and the acting is not bland. You don't have the Man of Steel leaving Earth for a home he should know is still gone. Lois is actually enlove with the Man of Steel. Sure it is cheesey. I would agree that Smallville's Lex and the Bruce Timm Animated Series are better but for it's time it is the best we had and much better than the 2006 movie.
I like the part when the woman say, 'The big one is almost as strong as Superman.' and Lois shoves her out of the way. LOL :)

One of my all time favorites.
Is it just me, or does the guy narrateing this says "The adventure continues" too many times?
Boy this trailer gives away the whole movie, and doesn't have the one line that I thought HAD to be here: "This is going to be good."
My Favourites Superman movie from the Christopher reeves series
I like to say that the Animated films Brianac Attacks,Doomday, Vs Elite, and All Star are the sequels to this film that we should have gotten.
I always thought this was the best since I saw as a kid.
"Metropolis in ruins" has a whole new meaning after Man of Steel...
This is one badass trailer
superman return is the best one!!
I think that this one was the best.

Are you telling me you like the Ghostrider films? They star Nicholas Cage and they both SUCK. Two of the worst comic book movies ever.
