Awesome episode! Very interesting to see the whole process with the abalone. Certainly alot to it, but what a great experience.
Thanks legends, yes it was a whole new experience for us. We had no idea about the process from catch to cook either but I tell ya it's worth a try 😉

Another awesome ep guys, those abalone are strange little critters 🥴
Oh yea, weird little fellas.. never thought is a million years id be eating one like its bacon 😅
Loved the episode guys awsome.
☺ thankyou 🤙🍻
Awesome Ep . Thanks for showing us the Abarlone. We had a couple weeks on the York was unreel will be back,
Thanks Craig, No worries at all mate. The Yorke is an addictive place to visit that's for sure, even after a month we didn't want to leave. 😅
Hi guy's, this reminds me of the first time and only time I went surfing. I was going abalone fishing at Phillip island near Melbourne. The rocky reef I had to get to was about 100m offshore and you had to walk it before you got to the reef. I stepped on a rather large stingray hiding in the sand and it took off while I was on it. My recollection is of a rather long ride but I think it may have only been a second or two... Love you guys.
Hahah, it's funny you say that as Aaron gets nailed by a stingray in the next episode 🙄 the abalone are rather weird look critters but even Wez and Georgi gave it a go. Miss you too David 😊
Legends, damn good episode 👏
Thanks Troops, love your work 😉
Down in Tassie the abalone is a black lipped variety as opposed to the green lipped ones you caught. The Tassie ones are as tough as hell and I don't know why everyone raves about them. Maybe the green lipped are more tender and tasty? Can't wait to get back to yorks . Such a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing your experiences there!
We got onto a black lipped one recently on the Eyre, I tell ya it was like eating a old tractor tyre. 🚜 def think the green lips are way to go
Love your drone footage and editing ..fabulous vision for those of us that never got to do any of this ..
Thanks Mate, you never know. Few years back I would have said the same 😉
@@LostTribeAdventures nope ..never going to happen ..those rigs cost more than I ever earned In my working life ...old lady now ..so I will just watch you young ones having a great time ..great adventures you have .
Noice ... One Day...
😉 it'll happen mate 👍
The 'Yorkes' has so much to offer and as a South Ozzy who's fished a lot of it over the years, it still amazes me of how much I've missed. Thanks for allowing us to tag along. 🤗
Couldn't agree more mate. Every time we come back here, we get blown away (from the wind also 😂) how beautiful SA really is.
Awesome episode guys, loving the drone shots , what drone are you using I'm looking into getting a JPI Mini 3 what are your thoughts ?
😊 thanks Judy, we love our little drone but it's an older DJI Mini 2 so its got some limitations. The newer 3 is a great little unit, most of our travel friends have them and love it.😊
Sometimes I think why don’t I try more seafood? Then I see all the effort & prep and what it looks like raw & remember why 🤢 but interesting to see!
🫶😂 i wasnt a big seafood either but being on the road fulltime has def changed my mind. it is alot of effort to prep but some of it taste really good ☺️
Great vid guys! Another camp we missed but will have to come back for!!! The seafood feast looked awesome & abalone tutorial is one we can use 😁 Love the SA sunsets too, if only they weren't at 9:30pm 🤣 See yas in the next one 🙌
😉 meet up next yea maybe?? The sunsets are just stunning even if it's 9.30 🤣
Hi Aaron. What knife are you using for abalone? Is the square tipped knife specific for this purpose?
Hey hey, yea it's a abalone knife.. there are about $30, square tip tampered front. Works perfect 😉
