Many channels when they cover this stuff, right wing people flood in to support the content creator and praising them for "waking up" which is funny since they are almost always anti-woke but whatever lol and then some extreme left wing people will also come in and bash the CC for *reasons* etc.

The plastic cuffs are used for when there are a lot of people. they're lighter weight and disposable and weigh next to nothing - metal cuffs weigh almost half a pound each. They're also good if someone is flailing around because they can use the metal as a weapon - I've seen it where a person getting cuffed lets them snap one on then resists and uses the 2nd cuff as brass knuckles. They're also good for smaller wrists - more adjustment.

The Secret Service beyond any shadow of a doubt failed miserably. You only need to look at that roof. The [now disgraced] Director of the Secret Service testified UNDER OATH that the "slope' of that roof presented a danger to agents. Police were stationed INSIDE the building instead. That rooftop location provided a clear line of sight only 130 yards from the speaker's platform, and it was NOT covered. That fact in and of itself is irrefutable evidence of negligence and GROSS incompetence.

The Secret Service screwed up big time. There should not be an open line of sight at only 150 yards. I have a 308 Remington and I can hit a silver dollar at that range. The crowd was also yelling about the shooter. They never should have let Trump get anywhere near the stage let alone on it. It was a catastrophic mess up.

The Secret Service did not protect Trump. They were lower level people who had no clue what they were doing or know how to protect anyone. They had a "agent" on the roof that the shooter was on but he said he got to hot and decided to watch from the inside in the air conditioning not from his assigned post. The cops had more knowledge and experience then the supposed secret services members but it should have been the other way around. The secret service should of known the whole place inside and out but they didn't because they were not real agents. When people were pointing to the guy climbing up the ladder getting on the roof and crawling he was not stopped claiming they didn't see anyone so they don't know what they are talking about what man. The man who when climbing and getting on the roof was in full sight of the sharp shooters window as he was directly in front of him did nothing to stop the man with a gun. They also found explosives in the man's vehicle and home. How does someone with homemade bombs get even close enough to be able to hurt anyone?

NO ONE did the job they were supposed to do according to new whistleblowers who are blaming local & state police. But, at this moment there's a lot of finger pointing. As for the fatalities, yes, one hero in the crowd defending his family and the shooter were the deceased. Two other men were hit and severely injured in the crowd and are both still in the hospital. I read that one guy is retired military and although badly injured in the abdomen I believe, he refused to be carried off of the bleachers and walked down himself with assistance. Also, the crowd NOT running helped with less people getting injured because they could have been trampled. But the emotional toll this takes...on anyone there and witnessing this live will likely be enormous to overcome

7:09 You gotta keep in mind... This is rural Western Pennsylvania so the people in that crowd are going to be super de-sensitized to the sound of gun fire, and probably most of them are trained on, or at least own or have used a fire-arm. So, while it seems weird at first (Even to me) it makes a lot more sense when you factor in all of the Western PA context. For example, I live in an Eastern PA "City" and it is not uncommon to hear gun-fire, by no means is it a daily occurrence, but when somebody a little farther out from town decides to do some traget practice on a nice day, we hear them... so I can only imagine what's going on over in Western PA... people blowing up port-a-potties by filling them up with tannerite and taking a shot. The only reason I wasn't a part of that is, because I considered it to be boring and not worth my time because it's nothing I hadn't seen before.
Pennsylvania is a very Fire-Arm Friendly State with a whole lot of Red-Necks and Hill Billies and Philly... so, I guess what I'm saying is... that this is surprisingly unsurprising in Pennsylvania.

This is the worst Secret Service failure since 1981 and 1963.
Even amateurs could see that the building used by the shooter was the optimal place to be; it was ~ 400 ft (120 meters) from the stage. To not have agents or cops on top of that roof was monumentally stupid. They had people inside, but no one observing the roof or avenues of approach to the building. Apparently, the shooter had hidden his rifle next to the building. How the heck did Secret Service and agents not find it prior to the event? They had no overhead coverage while the shooter did (a drone). Their communications/coordination was abysmal. Multiple warnings from the crowd, local police, etc. and they didn't delay President Trump from speaking?!? They didn't figure out a threat was developing right in front of their eyes. FUBAR is the most apt description. The Secret Service effed up to a degree that is extremely difficult to comprehend. A group of shopping mall cops could have done better.
The only agents/police who performed with any competency were the counter sniper who neutralized the shooter and part of the protective detail surrounding Trump. Multiple agents looked like they had not completed training like the female agent who couldn't holster her service pistol. How were the shorter female agents supposed to shield a principle nearly a foot taller than they?

Yes, the secret service screwed up big time.
While it is true that it isn't practical to cover ever possible location a shooter could potentially use, this location was way to close and too obvious to be ignored.
If a 20 year old kid with a $400 "budget grade" AR-15 and unmagnified red-dot can nearly assassinate a former president and presidential candidate something went horribly wrong.
While an accomplished shooter with the right equipment can make a 1000+ yard shot that pool is fairly limited, however a fairly average shooter with an off-the shelf hunting rifle and scope can easily make a 300-500 yard shot so anything within that radius should be heavily covered/have access restricted.
