Even if JWE2 is superior many ways to JPOG, I feel like JPOG still has such a much better atmosphere despite the newer game having way more customizability. The music, UI, even the mundane sound effects like placing down a fence, the sound of the hatchery's machine arm feeding a cow to the dino, the sound of the hatchery doors opening up before the forboding music swells and the lady announces to the park of the arrival of a T-rex. The calm, relaxing track that plays right after a thunderstorm as the map slowly becomes brighter, and you hear a flock of birds fly by. That's something that you can't get in JWE even if you mod in all the JPOG objects and dino skins
The atmosphere of JPOG is unmatched, it’s those little details like the sounds, music, and overall vibe that give it so much charm. JWE2 is amazing, but it’s hard to replicate that nostalgic magic. ❤🦖
I think the reason behind this was because JPOG leaned into the JP aesthetic, JW is too clean and kid friendly and there’s no sense of danger, you feel the danger in the raptor kitchen scene, but everyone one knew Maude was in no danger getting chased by the info raptor
The Forgotten mod is amazing, I have used it too and it is incredible to see how all those eliminated species come back to life. It's a nostalgic trip. ❤🦖
JPOG was really impressive. the only competition they faced in their genre was Zoo Tycoon and some weird German game, and yet it was JPOG that got a spiritual successor first
JPOG is the GOAT. The Dino’s in JPOG have so much personality for an almost 20 year old game. The Dino’s in JWE2 feel bland in comparison, almost like their animatronics. Plus the Visitors and their wants/reactions to your park all made JPOG feel so alive
There was the non official Lost World Mercedes skin for the safari car, also movie skins for dinosaurs, like the tiger one for the velociraptors, all made by fans
The vaccine storage is an interesting mechanic. I imagine that after researching a vaccine you needed to synthesize it and make sure you have enough in reserve. Would have been an interesting choice. Would have sucked if the facility got hit by a twister.
Definitely an interesting mechanic! It would add a layer of strategy, and yeah, imagine if a tornado were to hit the facility, it would be total chaos! 🤯
I think my favorite piece of cut content would be that of potential Triassic Animals, Missiles, and all the cut buildings. Considering that not even Frontier has really touched the true depths of the Triassic despite having over twice the number of Triassic dinosaurs and animals in general. Considering the dinosaurs we have in the game, firing a missile at a T. rex or Spinosaurus seems so much more over kill than the Minigun sentry, that it is a shame it wasn't included. The buildings that could have been added would have been nice just for the multiple different buildings along with the few in the final game. Also, I have heard there was a planned GameCube port of the game. Considering how expensive JPOG can reach on Xbox, PS2, and PC, I can only imagine how much Scalpers would have raised the price of the Gamecube version.

Sad about the dino petting zoo getting cut from all 3 games. I would like to see the medic helicopter make a return in JWE2 as a sort of 'late' game/late research structure. Also a return for Site B aspect, I mean, I think of a few choice ideas like having various national parks.
Maybe if JPOG gets a remaster for newer consoles, we might get some of these cut features and ideas like the hotels, ideas for fencing, the dinosaurs, and so much more to help make the game feel more alive
After listening to the music from the game about a year ago, I so badly hope JPOG gets remastered for PS4. If that doesn’t happen, then hopefully Jurassic World Evolution 2 could at least get a DLC that puts the music from JPOG in the game.

That JPOG and JWE don't have kid guests is still baffling considering those were the target audience of the park in both the book and the movie. Hammond has a whole monologue about wanting to see the wonder and excitement in their eyes.
If they had kids and they could get killed by the Dinosaurs the game would get an Adults Only rating which I doubt Universal would be okay with and I believe that Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo have all agreed to not have Adults Only rated games on their systems

Biggest gripe with this game was the hatchery mechanics. I wish there was an option to have one and airdrop the dinosaurs into whatever exhibit the player wants to. Ideally, just being able to place them down the way you do in Zoo Tycoon 2 with a spawn menu would be the mechanic. Would make Site B mode more fun.
I was able to buy JPOG on a PC disk for like $40 back in, like, 2020. I bought a disk drive just to play it. I'll reinstall it again someday. There is something about it which makes me like it more than JWE3.

Jurassic World Evolution lacks the Site B experience that JPOG offered to the player. It doesn't matter if you play the story and the missions, they just gave you an open sandbox to create your ultimate island of dinosaurs, where you could select every species, even without playing the main quest. I was lucky to take Evolution 2 for free on the ps Plus, because i was sure the mode existed there too. But of course you can't do anything without playing story missions and unlocking all the dinosaurs. I cancelled the game after a single hour.

Some of the cut content kind of makes sense when it comes to releasing the game on pc but the removing shadows on pc is just an odd one.

The early small park entrance did make it to the final game. It was the park entrance for ps2 and low graphics on pc
