Utahraptor in Prehistoric Kingdom, Austroraptor in both, and Protoceratops in Jurassic World Evolution 2. It'd also be nice if both games had more Triassic and Permian creatures.

They don’t have a large team and funding like Frontier, however, they also don’t have to worry about being held back by staying faithful to a movie monster franchise. It's not a if it's when the interaction(and babies) will come to prehistoric kingdom Btw some design of jurassic park series are fantasy(dilophosaurus is fantasy)
The models and animations are superb in both, but having these creatures as accurately depicted as possible (with the knowledge we have) is way more appealing to me.

Making mistakes on the number of finger, limb proportions and orientation, body proportions, eyes placements, head shape, nostrils placement, articulations, osteoderms numbers and arrangement, feathers structure and placement, tail shape and length (and excluding highly speculative structures) and calling it an artstyle seems like an excuse to cover your lack of understanding of the specie if your goal was to depict a realistic animal. And if it was not your goal then why giving it the name of a real animal. If there was a zoo simulator with solitary, hairless, spiked lion that are said to live in Antarctica and feed on whales people would point that out not as a style but as a poorly named monstrous creature, the same applies to dinosaurs. Prehistoric kingdom is a really good game and I can’t wait to see how it ends up, but there are two things that JWE2 really nails that PK kind of falls flat on. 1) Characterization - in JWE, the animals are characters first, animals second. While that’s not preferred, it still results in the animals having personality and character that the PK animals really lack. The animations of PK look natural and realistic, sure, but the animations in JWE look like the animals are full of life and like it reflects the personality of the animal. The constant shake of the fat on the animal, the shaking of tails, the way they hold themselves, all show the personality and character of the animal that PK doesn’t. It’s nice to have accurate and beautiful animals, sure, but they’re boring and flat. 2) Colors and Visuals - JWE2 is a gorgeous game, no doubt in my mind. The colors, lighting, materials, textures, etc, are all beautiful and make the game look incredible. PK is a beautiful game as well, don’t get me wrong, but it’s kind of boring. I’ll see building pieces in the game and I can’t put my finger on why but something about them is really off. Idk if it’s the lighting, the material, the same constant shapes, idk, but it doesn’t look like a real place. The plants can be pretty boring too. If you look at a wide shot of a biome, every leaf is the same color, whether it’s some grasses or a massive tree. It’s all the same color, and it looks bad. JWE plants are gorgeous and detailed, and they always look vibrant and distinctive. The visual difference between a line of trees in PK and JWE is night and day.

I would say they both have designs that look good. But the fact that the dinosaurs in PK can is pretty cool. I would say that's a big plus for PK. But PK is still in early access. The game still needs work and improvement. JWE2 does have better animations, and the dinosaurs seem more real. I have seen videos of the PK dinosaurs and they seem to be like the dinosaurs in JWE1. By that I mean they are almost like animatronics.
I love the accurate Designs of PK, i do how ever, love some of the classic designes that JWE2 has, and the sound effects the dinos have in JWE2 are, in my opinion, better while not 200% accurate. Overall i prefure JW Brachi and Rex idk i just do

Pk is cool in the as accurate as possible realism And JWE2 is good in liking the Jurassic franchise and making a park in that aspect. And for now JWE2 wins me over in animations and socializations, that and I love Jurassic park so it's both a win win for me.
Pk will definitely get a lot better in the future, I can see it surpassing JWE2. It's just that Pk is currently in development and that it is lacking a lot of features.
Is it weird that I love both designs??? Cause I prefer the accurate designs, but I also love Jurassic's take. They look believable enough to be their own species
I have soft spot for JP designs, but I just couldn't feel the same with the JW ones. Especially the ones who made a movie appearance. ILM didn't deliver their design justice. There are good ones tho, usually the ones designed by Frontier staffs instead. They can miss the mark at times but at least they tried.
Prehistoric kingdom being the better game because it feels more like a zoo game than JWE2, though despite PK is in early access and under development, the praise will be restrained until further notice. Because I can say, played JWE2 several hours a day for a whole month, I can confidently say that I went back to Zoo tycoon 2 as it is still the better zoo game containing dinosaurs. And of course we wont get a zoo game that has both dinos (some ice age animals) and modern day animals. But be warn to wear ear plugs around the Utah raptors in JWE2.
Although JWE2 is better at portraying the Dinos as animals and not just NPCs, PK has more customizibility (if that's even a word) cuz it let's you do more withthe enclosures rather than having them just be a normal fence
As it is now PK takes aesthetic for me but that's about it. JWE2 makes up for the inaccuracies with animations and behavior and who knows what will be added in JWE3.
I watched the entire video, and I'm going to rank which species design I thought was best. For my ranking, I won't consider scientific affinity and a good dose of affective memory (JPOG
I really hope prehistoric kingdom is going to be on the Xbox, at least series x and s, because I don’t have a PC and would love to get it on my Xbox X, please! Let it be true some day
For those who defend the JW designs can you explain to me something? What is the goal for voluntarily (or not) portraying inaccurate dinosaurs? How does it make the design better? If I saw a farming simulator with cows that have anatomical errors and the head shape like a horse or horses with split hooves and a crest on their back, I wouldn’t call it a good design (unless it is not meant to be a cow or a horse but a monster, and in that case saying it’s a better design than a realistic animal just seems off topic). And on that note, why do you need to call it Carcharodontosaurus or Ankylosaurus if it’s barely identifiable as one, just make your own like you already do with hybrids. If anyone have an answer I genuinely want to know.
JW/JP fans are in the awesomebro camp. Realism doesn't matter because to them, dinosaurs aren't actually animals. They're hyperviolent movie monsters that have to be scary and rampaging all the time.
@ Then why giving it the name of a real animal? And telling facts about it? And how does a deformed monster with tons of anatomical errors is a better design than a realistic accurate depiction if their not even achieving the same goal? Making mistakes on the number of finger, limb proportions and orientation, body proportions, eyes placements, head shape, nostrils placement, articulations, osteoderms numbers and arrangement, feathers structure and placement, tail shape and length (and excluding highly speculative structures) sure is fiction, but also a clear demonstration of your lack of knowledge on the species you try to depict because theses mistakes serve zero purpose in the context of the game/movie.
@Nadiouchinka here's the thing fiction doesn't have to apply to real-world laws. Dinosaurs in the jurassic franchise are made using the main animal DNA and adding other animals to fill in the genomes or add a unique feature, not to mention it has its own lore and rules. PK is using the real-world rules. JWE2 uses the lore of Jp.
@@tarkhawnn2000 Then what about the prologue said to happen 65 million years ago and still portraying inaccurate design, or the cloned species that are said to have a 100% pure genome. These excuses can not apply in these contexts. And if anything that is just what they are, excuses. No amount of frog DNA could explain why for example all quadrupeds dinosaurs have elephant feet with missing or added digits. No JP lore explain why the designs that are solely in this game are still off. And again what is the point, to use a easy excuse to cover your lack of knowledge of these animals, and if its not the case and you really take more time and effort to purposefully included these inaccuracies, then what purpose do they serve in your story? I could try to explain and justify every incoherence, every inaccuracies, bending the laws to incorporate every details, but trying desperately to rationalise something that is just made to be good enough so that the majority of people don’t see immediately the flaws or worst, directly exploiting their lack of knowledge of these animals is not something that I think deserves praise nor worth the effort. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think these products shouldn’t exist, I just don’t understand the excuses use to justify their existence. Also you answered on of my question, by your own words, JP and PK don’t work with the same rules so saying JP have better designs or vice versa is at best irrelevant at worst pointless.
Prehistoric has better models, BUT: 1. Movements are laughable 2. 2 years and not a single new species mod? Steam has thousands of mods and none of them are about new species - just useless utilities. I go with JWE2, with mods I have 295 species.

Has PK added lips to the Tyrannosaurus model? I swear it had exposed top teeth before but here it looks like they close properly.
Is it weird that I love both designs??? Cause I prefer the accurate designs, but I also love Jurassic's take. They look believable enough to be their own species
Can we give viva pinata tip another chance? Imagine it as up to date as jurassic world
I have soft spot for JP designs, but I just couldn't feel the same with the JW ones. Especially the ones who made a movie appearance. ILM didn't deliver their design justice.
There are good ones tho, usually the ones designed by Frontier staffs instead. They can miss the mark at times but at least they tried.
These comparisons are so unfair. Prehistoric kingdom looks WAAAAY better.
Edmontosaurus jumping seems like a big stretch, never seen an elephant doing so and thses boys where so much bigger
Hollywood vs Documentary
Funny how more modern addition such as Deinocheirus, actually look pretty good and "accurate" in JWE2
Nop, todos se ven mejor en PK.
16:05 What skin did I use for the para or a is it a mod?
Models and sounds are way better in Prehistoric Kingdom.
While Jurassic World Evolution 2 has the better animations.
I really hope prehistoric kingdom is going to be on the Xbox, at least series x and s, because I don’t have a PC and would love to get it on my Xbox X, please! Let it be true some day
i think prehistoric kingdom is going to be exclusively PC... sorry...
Cool just let me check the stegos... ah, nvm 💀
22:10 they actually fixed the teeth? Like they updated the head so the teeth are completely covered?
There are separate skins, one that's feathered, one that's scaley, and each of those can be customized with exposed teeth or lips.
@ I know about the skins but I didn’t know you could modify the teeth
@@jacobcox4565no, no se puede, simplemente cambiaron el diseño.
Prehistoric kingdom is better then JWE2.
I like the prehistoric kingdom alot but the jurassic park acrocanothosaus better
Animation looks of in prehistoric kingdom. Especially when dinos are interacting with environment (e.g water, trees, grass)
I love Both games but I m prefere prehistoric kingdom
Hollywood vs Reality
5:19 why is bro look so flabbergasted 💀💀💀
JW's Acrocanthosaurus looks too front heavy, it's tail should be larger
But can I preform unethical battle royals in Prehistoric Kingdom?
accuracy is superior
Prehistoric kingdom win👑
Give hadrosaurid a justice
I admit it i miss the tooth t-rex if prehistoric kingdom
Acro looks so much better in Prehistoric Kingdom, I honestly hate the design team for making ugly looking toy like dinos for JW.
You forgot Pachyrhinosaurus :(
@@Cotwhunter-1why?
@@veloxmortem6364 Because the dinosaur is not in Prehistoric Kingdom and the video is a comparison.
@@Cotwhunter-1falso, pachyrhinosaurus si esta en el juego.
@@veloxmortem6364 Sorry I thought you ment a different dinosaur.
@@manuelsimoes1245 Tú tienes razón.
Jurassic park trex is iconic and they will forever look that way lol
Nuh uh
Because it's fiction.
Prehistoric kingdom looks to better
If only they could fight
I like acrocanthosaurus
Why does the JW Acro look like.... *that?*
Prehistoric has better models, BUT:
1. Movements are laughable
2. 2 years and not a single new species mod? Steam has thousands of mods and none of them are about new species - just useless utilities.
I go with JWE2, with mods I have 295 species.
I’ve never played JWE2 and have no interest in it. Is that really what the ankylosaurus looks like???? Why do they… look like that…?
it looks horrendous because Anky's in the movies, so Frontier couldn't make it look at least somewhat realistic like the rest of JWE2's ankylosaurs
@ So that’s really what it looks like in the movies? Yikes…
brayonx is missing
Ivoike be able to look at a dinosaurs and be able to identify it and compare it to the skeleton. I can't do that in Jurassic world.
Gosh - this activates my autism, my chest is gonna burst
I would really love to play PK but they are still in that cancer system of Early acce. Very nice models for both games anyway...
Jurassic World tem muuuitos mis detalhes, incomparavel
Bro Was Drunk When Making The Prehistoric Kingdom Models 💀
Why?
É o mais realista
Prehistoric Kingdom version is Accurate yes. But for me, Jurassic Park versions are more main-stream and commercially appealing to the eye, That sound designs, those body languages, because they need to keep that "scary" aura on each dinosaurs specially Tyrannosaurus and Spino.
Incredible how despite PK has accurate models, JWE has a way better animations, and moves more like real animals, while PK dinosaur moves looks like stupid poor programed robots
I believe that's because PK doesn't have animal social interactions yet. They don't recognize each other existence at the time
Pk is early access, there is no social interactions yet. Dinosaurs are important but the main focus of the game is to be a park builder. One of their next updates is socializing and herding.
PK is also developed by far fewer developers and is not from a multimillion-dollar company
Yeah, how dare the PK team not have their dinosaurs clip into each other every 5 seconds. How dare they?!
