@@dbmail545 man a good, solid bolt rifle at 100 yds. Should have no issue getting keyholes in or near bull. No bullshit. Like a Rem. 700 or something of that nature.
Congratulations Eric, on the extra small group, perfectly outstanding shooting at 1000 yards. Lookout F-Class shooters, I would love to see you do this also in your next F-Class match. In addition, I was glad to see something other than Texas Barndominium videos which I always enjoy. BC this is where I first saw Eric Cortina offer input for long-range competitive shooting techniques and philosophy on fundamentals. Please keep up the good work and videos for 1000 yard shots etc.
If you know, you know! Now I know! Came right after the demolition ranch foam insulation video. Hope Matt also sees this video and hope that maybe a colaboration\competion with demolition ranch is on the way. Cheers from Brasil Erik!
Same watched demo ranch read a comment about this blokes 1.3inch groups at 1,000 and googled that shit straight away. Reckon he could tie fishing line to a empty beer bottle at 1,000...shoot fishing line and drop the bottle.
LiquidSword Well, maybe they talk about it off the cameras :). And I know a "competition" is not realistic, after all, Erik is a Pro. Matt is a good guy that loves gun, and also an entertainer, but not a pro. And thats fine. Maybe eventually they'll do some funny stuff together on demolition ranch.
@LiquidSword Matt hasnt even stepped up to support the 2nd ammendment. He chases the $$'s and thats it. He is not a shooter not sure he wants to be. Why people whatch his crap is beyond me... Somehow i doubt this guy could shoot all that well in the mountains of Afghanistan so comparing Irving to him is ridiculous. Especially when one shooter cares about minute of angle in pristine conditons and the other cares about minute of man in what ever contion is thrown at him

Hell of a group! I can't count the number of times I've "talked myself out of" a good group shooting Smallbore Prone... you see that nice little knot developing, and your next shot spoils it! God dang, but 1.3" is impressive, though! Not gonna stop you from thinking "what if" about that .3 cluster, though!
This is one of the best shooting videos I’ve seen in a long time. I cracked up laughing out loud when, after your forth shot, you were saying ‘oh my god, oh my god I hope I don’t blow this’. Excellent marksmanship sir. Well done. Unreal.
@@ErikCortina I got into a discussion with someone on FB about it. People are set in their ways. I know sizing is only one part of the equation, but it's a fairly important aspect. Even posted a link to that video you made about not neck sizing.
Wonderful shooting. And also, a wondeful lesson in allowing the negative result to enter your head and manifesting. Instead of, "i am going to make this happen," or even pretending there is a sixth shot.
Amazing, I used to like this kind of shooting too, but once I met person who is able to shoot 2 inch groups at 100m standing without any support and even hit moving targets with similar results, than I realized what are just contests of guns quality and ammo quality and what are contests of shoter´s quality... Two very different games... The same impressions I have when I see Jerry Michulec´s videos..

What about some info on the rifle, the barrel, the caliber, the bullet weight, powder charge ?? You know,..the stuff that makes shooting a precision art. This is very hard to believe without more info.
I have just purchased a Bergara HMR Pro with 24” barrel in 6.5 cm. I haven’t shot it yet simply because of scope choices. Just getting started in the 1000 to 1500 yard shooting. What scope and model do you recommend ? I will purchase the exact model you suggest ! I really am stumped on this !!!
I'm a hunter with a 300wm. My rifle muzzle kicks tremendously when shooting, how do you manage to make the recoil of your rifle stay in line with the barrel and no muzzle flip? Even with a large heavy moderator i still loose sight picture.
What did you use to get that data on your phone or to see the shots on your phone. I’m very interested as I just got into long range shooting and spotting for myself is a little bit of a pain. Any help would be awesome
And holy goodness, 😳 what was the grouping size after just the 4th shot... ddddddiiiuuuummmm!!! 😆 🤣 amazing champ!! 👏 ANYONE THAT SHOOTS KNOWS HOW WILDLY GOOD THIS IS!!! 👍 👌

Just out of curiosity what round are you using? That is possibly the greatest feat of shooting I've ever seen. I mean this is legendary. Most people even elite competitive shooters would be happy with a 3-inch group of 1,000 yards you cut that in half or better. I've seen competitions where 6 in was the average. That was years ago. I did long range with a 30/378 weatherby and the best I ever did was 5.4 in.
Excellent shooting. Could you provide more specs? I have 6.5x55 that I load to 2800 fps and have always enjoyed it. That brass looks like 30-06 or maybe magnum??? Thanks
45/50 with 5 shots to go. You'll get better with more practice, don't worry. I think you have potential. Maybe try neck sizing?
Robert G. Hahahahahahhahaaha

BWAHAHA! This made me laugh this morning! Good one!
If only he would have set his bullet off the lands.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I’d be pretty happy with that group with my ar at 100 yards.
I know that's true. I would be satisfied if not quite ecstatic to shoot that group at 100 yds out of any rifle that I own.
use that contraption, and no doubt you will.
Tod Simpkins
If it was only that easy. 😂
That's some good grouping ay, 1.3 inches would be basically inside someone's eyeball.

The best 5 shot group at 1000 yards I have ever done ( and only did it once) was a 5 inch group with someone else calling my wind.
This is insane.
Absolutely incredible. Nice work Erik.
Thank you.
love the towel over the funnel when charging, the little touches
The last shot is mind over matter every time .
I mean at 1000 yards the last shot is the normal one the others are the abnormalities.
Pretty mild reaction for
awesome shooting
you said it best in the DESCRIPTION. Most people would be happy with this @100YD!!!
That’s BEAST MODE rt there brother!!!!
Great shooting, was that .308? or 6.5?
As I said on another video, you are a man of many talents.
Amazing. Matt is in trouble. . . Again. Thanks Erik. Loving the Channel. Since yesterday!

What? Couldn't get em' any closer?!
Damn. That sure was damn impressive. Like a 1000 yard surgeon.
That was just amazing to watch. Awesome shooting! I could not believe you were dropping those rounds almost in the same hole. Best I've ever seen.
Fantastic group, Eric.
Thanks for showing us the shooting and resulting group. VERY NICE group
Dude. Outstanding!
That is unreal how well that shot what was the wind conditions and temperature
Congrats Erik. That's Awesome
Made me smile.
Impressive but what groups are you shooting off a bipod without the added stability at that distance?

found you from Demo. I knew you were something special from the beginning. my intuition was right

Nerves on the last shot? The horizontal spread is phenomenal! How about a camera shot through the scope to show the mirage movement.

What difference is the 284 wheeler over the 284 win say using 180g FPS wise is it worth the extra cost and case prep
