I had no idea this was a hobby until I'd seen the collection at The Boathouse Restaurant at Disney Springs in Orlando. With the detail, variety of motors, and our penchant for nostalgia, it's easy to understand how one can get knee deep into collecting these.
Aren't they cool? I have been watching these on eBay and finally bought my favorite. These motors are built with exquisite quality and attention to detail. The prices are steadily going up too!
