- Harlem collective A$AP Mob has been putting its stamp on the rap game since 2011. The group was founded in the mid aughts by A$AP Bari, A$AP Illz, and A$AP Yams, following in the footsteps of New York groups like Wu-Tang Clan and The Diplomats. The trio linked up with A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Twelvyy, A$AP Nast, A$AP Ant, and producer A$AP Ty Beats. Rocky’s early success landed him a multi-million dollar deal, and paved the way for the rest of the Mob.

All I know is ASAP got all these new rappers putting their crews as part of their rap names. NBA, YSL, YNW, YBN, YRN, etc...
Kinda sad they lost momentum after Yams passed - shows how much of a driving force he was. Really think Rocky and Ferg got some potentially great albums left to make. Rocky has become a star - dating Rihanna, high-fashion endorsements, headlining events - but I really think he has superstar potential and needs a couple really good quality albums to get him there.
