Thanks for explaining the procedure ! After replacing mine, it shows horizontal black lines right in the middle, is there any repair without replacing the part ?
Please help me. I can't glue the metal shield that surrounds the home button at all, whenever I do this it seems to work but when I fit the screen the button always comes loose. hugs from Brazil.
Great video thank you. Question. What would be the issue if, iPad been dead for a few weeks before changing screen. Replaced screen as shown, Connected cables. No charge or light up on iPad…
Great video thank you. Question…. What would be the problem if there’s power after the screen has been connected to the base?.. iPad has been dead for a few weeks, changed the screen and nothing come up. No charge light or anything…
Hello… What is the width of the red tape that you used, I noticed there are two different widths but I would like to know what those two widths are. Thank you.
Hello at what point did you solder the part at the bottom of the screen ? I thought there was a small part near the home button we had to solder on this model ? Or is that if you rip it off then you have to solder it ?
Great video. Just replaced the screen on my ipad2 using this as reference. Two comments. 1) you need to desolder and resolder the little sleep/wake sensor at the bottom of the old screen. 2) in my case the home button came apart as it came off. Didnt break -essentially the layers separated. Still works for fingerprint id(!) but now has no bounce - so hard to use as a real home button. A spent a couple of hours trying to reposition the layers together to get the ‘’bounce’ back - but in the end gave up because I didnt want to damage it further. New screen is great, I have fingerprint id, and I can work around not having a home button that is a button (use accessibility settings. Just something to be aware of.

Hi! Is it possible to separate the glass from the digitizer if only the glass has been damaged so I can reuse the digitizer with a new glass?
No. It is almost impossible to do such
Yes it is possible if you know how to use a wire for glass separation and you have the equipment and know how to refurbish apple screens.
@@masoncombs2714 Thank you for explaining.

No soldering needed
You are talking about the sleep wake sensor. If the new glass Does not have it, you can desolder and transplant . Or just buy new and solder on.
