You never come off sounding hokey. There’s a lot of folks that think just by talking really breathy and kinda sexual that that’s comforting. Well maybe for some people it is. Michelle, you have changed my whole outlook on life. I know look at a whole lot more details when I drive or walk in a park or wherever. I notice a lot more than I used to and I find it beautiful. My attitude toward life is slowly changing between all work, and now finding beauty in the world and that is a very good thing.
I love this so much! I want to make a video in the New Year about this practice. I try so often, especially when life gets stressful, to focus on all the beautiful details that are happening in that moment. I will make myself discover five. I was soaking wet and running late this week as the rain delayed the trains. And rather than stress, I focused on the beauty around me and all the reflections in puddles on the street. And suddenly a wet, cold day became magical.

Can't wait to curl up all warm and cozy in my bed and listen to one of your magical stories as I drift off to sleep 😴 🎄❤️ I had a memory just now of when I was a little girl and had a sleepove with a friend. We'd be snuggled up safe and sound in my bed, and my friends would always beg me for bedtime stories. They loved my stories, bc I always made up ones about "Magic World" - a fairy tale place that lived in my imagination. Obviously, I still adore bedtime stories haha!

I used to drag my feet and complain about the colder, darker months all the time. In fact, years of my Facebook updates were bemoaning the winter. But by creating these stories and focusing on the cozy (and also not freezing my bum off on an outdoor commercial shoot) I've learned to embrace this time of year. It's not easy, but it can be done!
This is a magical story I read the transcript this afternoon and my favorite sentence is 2:24 “ thoughts of soft warm fleas fresh from the dryer” this is an iconic seminal image 😊. There is nothing that stands for the reverie of this time of year better then soft warm fleas- hate the cold hard ones. I inserted “sheets “ but it’s not as funny The story captures a real sense of a sweet seasonal black and white old time movie. I fell asleep reading it twice. Plaza hotel indeed!
Warm fleas! 😂 As amusing to me as someone who thought I said something other than "buck" in a story. The things that happen when I don't have an editor-- warm fleece. Warm sheets. Warm fleas. Like I say, customize to what makes the story work for you!
@@MichellesSanctuary a few ideas... -a winter hot tub, where your hair freezes and it overlooks a mountain or something -grandmas/moms house Christmas morning, you can smell Christmas cookies baking and the people you love are around - snowshoeing to a mountain cottage? - maybe even fantasy snow globes like Santa's workshop? Polar express? -horseback riding? Also I have to ask, are you from New York? You always describe New York stories in such vivid detail, it feels like I'm really there! (Although I've never actually been there myself 😅)

I love these long stories because since I was a child (70now)I could never get to sleep.I had to take barbiturates to sleep in the 60s and 70s.but u can't get them now days.But I am. Asleep with in 1/2 hour so thank you so much

I love your voice and I imagine it would be a great story , for only me personally I find you speak to fast. I’m epileptic and find my brain runs to fast to listen properly. Thanks for sharing! I’ve recorded this pace often because so many listeners expressed being startled when falling asleep and a pause between phrases is too long. You know you can change the playback speed and it will make it slower? I don’t know if this would help or slow things enough but it might! I’ll keep this in mind as I record going farther. It’s hard to make it perfect for everyone.
It's whatever it feels like to you. I am not a hypnotist. I write guided meditations followed by second-person narrative stories like "Choose-Your-Own-Adventure" stories popular in my youth.
My dear you may not be a professional hypnotist but you are the best hypnotist I have encountered. Your meditation stories are many things. They can be very ambiguous highly personalized and masterfully created and executed. They are skillfully open ended with more positivity then Norman Vincent Peale could ever imagine in his wildest dreams. Your stories and meditations are what we make of them. They are beyond qualifying or quantifying. If someone wishes to think a hypnosis tract is what they are ok dokie. Hypnosis has been a life saving and valuable tool as is cognitive therapy medication and religion. Nothing is perfect but your creations come close. As they say in Latin “ de gustibus non est disputandum”
