Hi Ranveer, I can see that this coronavirus has made your family members good with cameras. The first video you shooted in your house and this current video has so much of difference and improvements. I would really like to appreciate them for this. And also would like to see if you can make a video with your whole family member.🙂🙂🙂🙂
No words! You are awesome! The way you describe everything with so much diligence and in detail, the love that you have for cooking shows up (and your eyes lighting up everytime you share something interesting!).
Back in the days people used to keep recipes as their family secrets. And they would take pride about it, when people used to talk about food prepared by them. Now because of youtube, and selfless chef's such as Ranveer we have best of all the worlds, nothings a secret and even the most naveli dulhans can cook like master chef's :)
Exactly. Our female ancestors must’ve gone through hell when they didn’t know certain recipes. In laws never shared the cooking procedures, let alone secrets. The newly wed lady had to come with much cooking knowledge and was still taunted that her mom taught her nothing. Thanks to RUclips, newlyweds are safe now. In fact many ladies are teaching new art and techniques of cooking to their in laws. In laws have become more accommodating now, their secret recipes are on social media now.
I learned so much from this video. I knew a homemade garam masala was better (fresher) than a store-bought one but the explanation about layering properties of the spices and adding additional spice for a summer or winter spice blend was an amazing information
When i think to made garam masala...i watch your video...it's really awesome taste came in our food...Thank u so much sir..from last one & half year i m making this garam masala
Agar History Geography teacher aisa padhaya hota na to neend nahi ati thi shayad😊 And thank you RB sir for revealing every secret of food and its ingredients.
You shared not only characteristics of the spices but also their history.... Loved it so much. Going to share it with my sisters n friends. God bless you Ranveerji
Perfumery has the same three notes concept when blending essential oils - Base Notes, Middle Notes, and Top Notes. The proportion and balance of these three notes is what perfumers use to incorporate into their composition. During the Mughal Times, the art of mixing ingredients in specific proportions (depending on the taseer, weather, and who it's made for) were cooked in a deg for a number of days to extract their essential oils in a base of Sandalwood - which then was used as an attar (perfume oil). However, what makes masala blending challenging is the source of ingredients which makes a drastic difference in the final product. I have tried to use ingredients from other countries while blending masala's, and the outcome has been very different due to changes in weather, soil, or a slightly different Latin name. The source of these ingredients and it's Latin name classification is equally important as the proportion. Thank you @ChefBrar for explaining and sharing the art of balancing these ingredients, but also where to source them from. A quick note though - the picture of the Cinnamon does not match its Latin name. Cinnamonum Verum is a slightly different product, and would probably use a tad bit more as it is much milder in strength. Superb informational video as always! :-)

Back in the days people used to keep recipes as their family secrets. And they would take pride about it, when people used to talk about food prepared by them. Now because of youtube, and selfless chef's such as Ranveer we have best of all the worlds, nothings a secret and even the most naveli dulhans can cook like master chef's :)
ab bhi.....exact secret receipe of garam masala....bahar nahi aye he......

So true
I learned so much from this video. I knew a homemade garam masala was better (fresher) than a store-bought one but the explanation about layering properties of the spices and adding additional spice for a summer or winter spice blend was an amazing information

Detailing really helps. I really struggled earlier in 90s from well known cooking show. Never got detailing. Keep up the good work 👍
You shared not only characteristics of the spices but also their history....
Wow soo much information. Thanks a lot
