I was BLOWN AWAY when I first heard this. So incredibly beautiful. It's sad the Living Eyes album did not receive any airplay because of the so-called "disco" backlash. Robin once said, "We write contemporary R&B," and he was right. The word "disco" was not even in their vocabulary. They were victims of bad timing and social resistance.
I just love this song. 💕It really should have been released as a single IMO but sadly when Living Eyes came out in 1981 US radio stations just wouldn’t play their songs. 😢 I wish I could find a live version somewhere but not sure it even exists. Thank you for playing it.
Hi Chad! Thanks for reacting to one of my favorite Bee Gees songs, did you know that the "Living Eyes" album was chosen to be the first album of all to be released on CD for demonstration purposes and was used in the inaugural issue of Compact magazine Disc?. One more piece of information about one of the biggest band of all time. Regards
I love this song. I think it's the tight harmonies that gives it that relaxing soothing sound that the brothers are so capable of. I have a request in to you just like everybody else. No pressure Chad we're going nowhere. One thing that stands out to me is that you get all these requests because there are so many of us Bee Gee fans out there and the Bee Gees have done so many incredible songs.
Perfect excample of their abilities, by singing together thru' nearly the whole song. Melted voices of Barry and Robin by most of the verses. Sometimes bit more Barry, sometimes bit more Robin (like once Maurice said). So it's like one voice to hear. And then Maurice, the master of harmony so that in the end, we're in 'Paradise'. Magical piece of music, this is!
This is one of my favorite Bee Gees song of all time. I think with a little more polish and a nice guitar solo in the middle, it could have been a successful lead single from the 'Living Eyes' album in 1981 instead of the two they chose which were quickly forgotten.
Love it different in a good way. The Bee Gees are the best. So much talent beautiful voices. The harmonizing is beautiful!! Great break down Chad. Your reaction is great. We love you Chad, we are patient we love all Bee Gees music. Here is my request again, I thought you had said you like rock and roll ( am I right?) To Be or Not to Be... this is a great rock song!!
You do more Bee Gees reactions than anyone could ever hope for Chad and are great at it. Real life is always more important than internet life so never apologise for having a life.
Really, really appreciate that you take the time to react to these amazing, incredible singers and songwriters. I usually am so attuned to lyrics also, but for some reason, this song caught me with the harmonies and melody. I love it!❤️❤️
So glad you’re back to “reacting”. I have faith n you n know you’re inundated with requests. And I hope people will be respective and know you’ll give it your all in responding to their requests.
I'm finally caught up to your most recent actions😊👏👏 I love this one, another one where Barry's voice can show deeper...and the way they blend is so strong🥰 Gosh The Bee Gees are the best ever😍 The weekend goes fast, but im on vacation this week🤗 Hope you have a great week Chad.
You did it. You did it. Thank You!!! I have been listening to this most every day for a while. I got a Japanese pressing of "Living Eyes" a couple of months ago, and can't get enough. Don't you love the rhythm? Perfect unisons, rich, balanced harmonies and three beautiful brothers. I know this was not well known, so some folks probably haven't heard it, but isn't it just sublime? Oh, and we've talked about using session players on "Living Eyes" before. Don Felder (Eagles) is playing that guitar. Because you are so interested in the instrumentation they use, I'll also point out the cellos you hear near the end. I got no problems circling my head for a while. Thanks. Your reactions really picked me up this weekend. Had a blast!!!
So many comments of 1st timers hearing this, so please keep the Living Eyes reactions coming. DON’T FALL IN LOVE features Robin at his best, and NOTHING COULD BE GOOD has Barry at his, HE’S A LIAR has a quirky video and makes you wonder if it was inspired by Robin’s divorce situation, and then SOLDIERS are all you need to complete the album. Please react to all of them!!
Hi Chad, life is meant to be enjoyed. 4 Bee Gees reactions per weekend, I can't see anybody complaining about that. Enjoy your spare time with friends and family. After all that's what really matters. This song is from the 'living eyes' album. This album has been blacklisted by so many radiostations around the world. But this might be one of their best albums. So many great songs on there. You have 4 more songs to react to from this album if I'm not mistaken. It's hard to pick one to recommend first, but I'll guess 'He's a liar' might be a nice one to recommend for now. 😉
We know you have a life which makes us appreciate your efforts all the more for those of us who don't.😜😁 Finally figured out how to add emojis to YT comments so be prepared top be emojied to death!!!!! Another great weekend!!!! Especially loved the medley. See you next weekend (or sooner if you do any reviews in between). Cheers.
Well, I have never heard this one. But, I really like it. Chad-I hope you and everyone else has a beautiful Blessed week. I’m sending prayers for every single person in the path of this hurricane 🙏🏻
Another pretty song. September 1st is Barry 's 75th birthday and also his anniversary to Linda (51 yrs). My mom once joked that I was supposed to be a birthday present for him, my birthday is close to his accept for the fact I was born in the 70s, and it was a goofy joke as I was born months early and she nearly bled out having me. I spent the first month of my life in an incubator on pure oxygen 🙃 needless to say my health isn't so good. But mom introduced me to the music of the Brothers Gibb and I'm a fan for life. Thank you so much for reacting to the Bee Gees. I appreciate it and look forward to seeing what your choices are and your thoughts on them 😊
No worries mate! 😉 I am sure we know it will take some time especially with other folks requesting other artists and all. And of course, them having written over 1,000 songs.😎
This song sweetens Monday morning. Here in Europe your last post of the marathon always arrives in the very early morning. A beautiful song. The selection of songs is actually always very nice, but this weekend was exceptionally good. Thank you. I wish you all a good safe and healthy week.
In an interview it came out that the 'Living Eyes' album was a bit of a victim to the row they had with Robert Stigwood and their record label over ownership of their songs and underpayment they finally settled and eventually remained on good terms but their current album went very much unpromoted.
Hi Chad, I know you've already reacted to this song although it was a slideshow of Maurice, when there is amazing video out there...She Keeps On Coming features Robin on vocals and I gotta tell you, he blew me away because I never heard that voice out of him and actually thought it was Maurice...until I saw the video. Please react to this live video performance link. ruclips.net/video/XvuTlRflXAs/видео.html
I go for either ballads or really upbeat numbers but this was not top of my list. We can't all like everything but I do like 99% of their songs. Not a bad average!

oh I love this song..the harmony is superb..and I love hearing Maurice voice in the end
I love everything about this song and usually have to listen to it 2 or 3 times. You're doing great Chad.
Living Eyes is the most underrated album of the Bee Gees
Thanks for reacting to this song! One of my favorites. Bee Gees are my stress relievers. Their music is so calming.
Congratulasien to Barry ❤ and his wife 51 years is a long time so praud of them they look so beautyfull together ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The Living Eyes album is a great Bee Gees masterpiece.
他們的假音加上和聲,是我的最愛。
Just wanted to add, Wednesday is Barry's 75th birthday, and also his 51st anniversary with Linda.
Let's all show Barry some love and appreciation this week/month.
Thanks for the info. This was a beautiful song with them all featured together.
I just love this song. 💕It really should have been released as a single IMO but sadly when Living Eyes came out in 1981 US radio stations just wouldn’t play their songs. 😢 I wish I could find a live version somewhere but not sure it even exists.

Ah, Paradise is Heaven. The harmony is magic. Good reaction Chad. I am glad you are feeling better. We sure missed you.
Pure perfection, once again
Always loved this. It’s such a beautiful song, but also this range is my favorite for Barry’s voice. And then there are the harmonies!

Love this Chad. They just step up and sing. They don' t practice harmony, they just lived it. Always great to hear your wise words.
Paradise, Living Eyes, and Wildflower are really great songs on this LP
You do more Bee Gees reactions than anyone could ever hope for Chad and are great at it. Real life is always more important than internet life so never apologise for having a life.
This tune is like a trip to paradise! The music will be stuck in my head all night. Great choice Chad.

I only heard it the first time yesterday. It's beautiful. Right up there with their best. I'm obsessed with it now.
@@singluna888 I know it is just so great and not well known. Alas, part of the 1981 time line. Love it so much.
