Great video on a very important case. I hope you would cover Norfolk, Virginia (my hometown) and the use of eminent domain under Urban Renewal and Redevelopment programs that devastated most of the downtown area. Do you think that the current court might revisit Kelo in another case? Is there a similar case in the pipeline and will this court hear it? Thanks!
Norfolk has so much cool old building. It's a shame more pollution winds up in the landfill due to eminent domain. All this law does is displace families. Now people are loosing their homes. This is very sad immoral law which really causes poverty. Miss Norfolk every day, but these housing laws are bad news.
The final cost to the city and state for the purchase and bulldozing of the formerly privately held property was $78 million.[26] The promised 3,169 new jobs and $1.2 million a year in tax revenues had not materialized. As of 2021, the area remains an empty lot. look it up
Latin publicus "of the people; of the state; done for the state," also "common, general, of or belonging to the people at large; ordinary, vulgar," and as a noun, "a commonwealth; public property."

Eminent domain is as readily abused as is asset forfeiture.
